Champions may always use 6 upps.
Right ... unless there is more to that obscure "editing"-story prowarms deck is totally legal while Kobis' third deck is not.

2:1 for prowarm imho ?
what editing story are you referring to jangoo?
care to elaborate?

did you just look at that post by 10 men and decided to post your opinion or did you actually read the whole thread leading to that post first?

please, enlighten me on this obscure "editing"-story that you're talking about

Post Your PvP Event Ideas Here / Re: Upped War? Is it possible?
« on: April 19, 2011, 01:07:11 pm »
You're making it too complex SG
is making a war-like event but with upped cards not interesting enough?
i dont think anyone find it boring that it bears close resemblance to the actual war
after all, this is kinda like a tribute to the grand event that is war

why do we need all this master vault and marks act like life points?
i know these are just ideas but i'd rather keep it simple
work out the kinks doing this all upped because there might be some that might've slipped by
no need to make it complicated even before making a test run

Budokan / Re: Amended Rules, please read* 9 champions needed

personally, i'd agree with jangoo
this event oozes flavor and if that means abrupt finish in the style of budokan, so be it

BUT

as a PvPO, i have to disagree
regarding PvP Events time span, normally you'll want an event that last between 4 to 8 weeks
anything longer needs to be trimmed down for many reasons and anything shorter should probably be tweaked and submitted as weekly tourney idea instead

the biggest issue here is that with the previous ruling, theres that possibility that you wouldnt even get to battle before getting knocked out in the first round
as much as the spirit of budokan is "in the moment", you are still going to invest some time to prepare your decks and strategize
to see all the efforts go down the drain before it can even be put to the test tend to make people unhappy and thats not what we aim to achieve here

and the whole EtG forumer rejoice!
hats off to SG yet again

Blocked here in MY as well. I found the alt link through Google by searching 'elementsthegame forum fail' and it was the 7th result. Gotta work that metacrawler SG.
Hmm.. weird. It works fine for me here, kobis. Maybe my ISP is not really bad after all.  :P
i would assume that you use TM streamyx as do i but i also use OpenDNS proxy due to complication accessing some *ahem* work-related sites

If this idea has been suggested before, let me know.
there are a lot of variation on the 'highlander' theme in the past...thats for sure

my idea (http://67.18.28.242/~eleforum/index.php/topic,11436.msg191673#msg191673) was a combination of M:tG Highlander format and King of the Hill format
it has a completely different approach to community-wide PvP event and as such, it was rejected but the merit is there
i think that at least the Highlander format should also cover the deckbuilding aspect i.e. you cannot have more than one copy of a card
i understand that EtG dont have a big cardpool to make a mono highlander plausible but limiting everything to only a single copy makes it a bit more interesting imo
