you start the chain as late as possible
i usually wait until i have <40 HP and <18 draw or less from my deck before i start chaining them

Rainbow Decks / Re: SCEM: SuperCharg'EM

too much reliance on the second supernova killed my interest in this deck
it doesnt have much 3cc+ rainbow elements but it seems like that second supernova always come way too late to matter with a handful of graboid, charger, pegasus, crawler
(or maybe i'm just unlucky in drawing the second supernova)

looking at the screenies you dont have to wonder why he banned the dragon
plus, as i said earlier somewhere before, its in part thanks to you for revealing everything about time's plight in mono vs mono

i quote :-

- In mono Time creature damage is the only possible winning condition. It's impossible to deck out without healing (no SoGs allowed ;( ), while stalling + control by itself is not enough. Dune Scorpions are useless in mono, while Deja Vu, Scarabs and Anubises are very weak without duo (even with off-element mark). That leaves dragons, pharaohs and fate eggs for damage. Darkness can lobotomize Pharaohs and Fate Eggs with Liquid Shadow. Thus I had to either ban LS, or hope he doesn't ban Dragons. Even if I banned LS, he could play Darkness Nymphs + Cloak (to counter rewind) and thus Dragons are my only real option for offense.
you specifically put it down as time vs darkness situation but it goes beyond that
time just dont have any beef apart from the dragons
take out the dragons and time dont have any rush power at all
any rush deck will be able to beat time even with eternity and turtle shield unbanned

published and ban-able is contradictory by nature
its like giving someone AK-47 but tell them their not allowed to use any ammo at all
you're giving sideboard option but you take it away by making it ban-able because the opponent can just simply ban any card that is deemed a threat (in the sideboard) to their own deck(s)
either you have bannings or publicized sideboard but not both together

Wildcard(s)
in addition to salvage, you get 1 (or 2) wildcard(s) for each match win
you dont actually get a card but instead, similar to EvaRia's idea, you get to convert any card to any in-element card after R1 and it will uses up 1 wildcard

e.g. in a 8-members per team, you can get as much as 8 (or 16) wildcards after Round 1
this does not increase your vault count by 8 (or 16), it merely give you the option of converting cards into an in-element card of your choice (rather than a pillar/pendulum) for each wildcards you still have

pros: you can have some potent badass in-element decks if you keep on winning and performing better than everyone else

cons: you still suck if you keep on losing (which is why you need to save up on / hold onto all wildcards you've won until you really need to use it)

3 time-marked decks? talk about imbalance *mumbles incoherently*

i know what i'm NOT going to play, that much is quite apparent
but every other deck seems pretty fun and intriguing

agreed^

xinef detailed explanation is good and all but surely giving out details while you're still in the tournament is not the best way to go about it
in any case, thanks for enlighten me about time's plight in regards to the mono deck rule when facing another element
i would've figure it out myself eventually but having a 'cliff-note' version is pretty sweet in my preparation for master's tourney in future trials

also, mono element is good in theory but it sucks because it severely limit what you can do against any particular element as detailed here (and in darkness vs time) by xinef
my suggestion is to allow a specific number of outside element cards, maybe 6 but no more than 12 (which is still 40%, less than war rule of 50% in-element card requirement)

are the higher-ups (and by that i mean SG) ok with this exception?
i mean, every trial so far is 1 master facing the best 1 of 4 challengers
it doesnt seem like huge now, maybe... but any exception will be referred to in trials to come

also, there are some posts that have been removed by moderator (daxx?), did you weight in those as well?

seems like every event idea nowadays have either vault implementation or salvage phase (or both)
while that is funky and all, surely you guys can come up with something...different for a change
