replace a chaos power with a momentum for a guaranteed hit? And maybe drop the sanctuary for an antimatter?
Yes, I was thinking more about this deck today and it should definitely have a momentum.  Its the best way to power dune scorpions and I hastily did not include one, just because CP seemed like a more convenient choice.

What's this deck meant for? Also I would replace sanc with blessing and maybe add a momentum
PvP or T50?  I left it open intentionally at this point.  I tested vs. T50 and it worked great.

having the utility of freezing the opponent's weapon will usually be more useful than trying to kill off a creature.
Critters with only 2 HPs ... -> quite situational
Gaining more than 10 :water -> quite impossible
Wanting a chance to freeze -> just use congeal right away  ;)

One advantage of the extra CC in a dune scorpion bow is that it has the ability to eliminate threats while you are setting up as opposed to just rewinding it.  Ice lance has nice synergy with rewind/eternity because it has the ability to kill things (great vs. lava destroyers) or just freeze them in place while you wait to draw a rewind, or as stated earlier, the utility of a weapon freeze.  Plus, the aforementioned utility of freezing a weapon.

i would put some SoG's in to keep yourself alive while the poison is being multiplyed...
SoG is also a possibility, I'd be a little concerned about it sucking up some quanta you don't want it to, but it gives you more early stall potential.

Actually, the deck works perfectly if you just remove one pendulum and add a momentum. Also, you could consider exchanging the fire lance for another ice lance. The reasoning for this is that they don't do much damage, so having the utility of freezing the opponent's weapon will usually be more useful than trying to kill off a creature.
I agree on the ice lance, I had initially posted it with two, but then I thought... if you burn through 5 SN's during the course of your stall, you can hit for 6 big damage with fire lance!  I'm a little fearful to drop down to 5 pendies, I had also initially built it as such, but I'm concerned about the ability to power your eternity.

All of these suggestions make me think.... -1 Dune Scorpion, -2 Chaos Power, -1 Pendy, +1 Momentum, +1 SOG, +1 Antimatter, +1 Ice lance?

I made one small change to the more slim version of the CCYB that was posted.  If you have already started farming with it, you will need to start from scratch with the updated version.

It was clear that the original (1.24) version was outdated and needed to be updated to something new.  tttt seems to be having success with this version I updated to.

When I saw the Earth mark I was able to sigh a bit of relief because I had tested extensively vs. his previous round deck and it did very well.  The BB's threw me for a loop, but I figured I could spam enough creatures that I could make a game of it.  That was really all I was hoping for in a match vs. a General with 8 ups.

Game 1:

I played a couple of graboids, he played a turn 2 gravity shield that really slowed me down when a turn 3 elite oty hit the field.  I was able to get some extra damage on the field with some blessed peggies that were soon BB'd.  He then played two dragons one after another, but I was able to get the oty lightning'd and start the damage race with two graboids and a damage lead vs. two dragons.  It came down to the last turn and I thought I was done for and pulled a momentum.  With a blessing in hand, I blessed one of my formerly BB'd graboids and momentum'd as well, giving me the exact amount of damage for the win.  I was sweating bullets and really got bailed out by the RNG.

Game 2:

My draw seemed to counter his well.  I drew lightning for his oty in succession, drew my deflag right after he played his gravity shield.  I was thinking maybe i should have held it, but was still a little fearful of his PA.  His BBs slowed me down a little this game, but he never played a dragon and only drew one SS.  I rolled to a fairly convincing mid 60's HP victory this game.

GG's TNG, you definitely had the first one wrapped up and a last minute heroic play must have hurt.  You are always a great opponent and I enjoy playing you.

Metamorphosis / Re: Metamorphosis Has Been Cancelled
« on: May 04, 2011, 07:21:57 pm »
This news is very concerning to me.  I realize that meta had its issues.  Some that seemed reconcilable (Swiss pairings, byes/forfeits), and some that were irreconcilable (People losing mid-morph and how to handle their deck choice for the following round, people losing motivation after a loss), but that was part of the charm of the event.  There were also things that were handled poorly that needed to be addressed (no countdown timer, poorly defined rules), but restarting the event should not have been the solution. It seemed that people were making the best of it and moving on.  I actually thought it was nice that if two people lost mid-round, when they were paired up the next, they both had to try and figure out how to morph their way out of the hole they dug themselves.

Anyone could have been susceptible to a loss at some point, and exploiting these bad morphs gives others a 1.5 round chance to move ahead.  The setup was an endurance test, not a sprint, and I found it troubling that some people just gave up after one loss.  *glares at TStar*

Sure, I would love to start over and have a chance to go 2-0 instead of 1-1, but that may not happen.  I spent over 10 hours making decks for the first two rounds, and if I spend another 10 hours and go 1-1 or 0-2 instead after restart, I'll be pretty upset.

I am very opposed to cancelling/restarting an event just because the road was bumpy.  There have been problems with 4 of the last 5 large PvP events (Team PvP, War, Meta, & Dog Pit) and these things need to start getting ironed out more smoothly from up top.  If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.  The bottom line is people just want to play and have fun.  Its just a game after all.
