Buff This Card! / Re: Schrödinger´s Cat

Give it 1 entropy skill cost and make it phoenix like. Nobody will be able to use it until that happens(even if you just improve the skill cost, in decks that is vital it will get quickly CCed by the opponent to stop the cat based strategy).
The porblem is that it is like rustler but with no straight quanta conversion, of course it makes death effects to compensate, but it requires to many cards to be played before hand(and is expencive).
agreed. the ability cost MUST come down.  :entropy :entropy is far too expensive for its highly situational ability.
and make it phoenix like.
50% chance of not dying could be even nicer and would greatly fit the theme.
this. excellent idea. to make the cat completely indestructible would to OP for its low cost. i mean look at aether's own Immortal. not even truly immortal and costs 6 :aether for just 4 attack.

FG Proposals / Sobek
« on: April 14, 2011, 08:25:09 pm »
this potential FG is based around water (duh). many people believe that water has little or no power. in a response to this misjudgment of such great element i decided to have a look at what water is best at. that's right - it's just about the best duo element there is around. it's a wonder there have been so little waterbows on the go! anyway you'll find this guy thwarts decks like CCYB using PC, CC, poison, lots of damage, and stalling techniques. i've only found him to be weak against stalling, and high CC. you're dead if you don't have any permanent protection. OK, enough said. LET ME PRESENT....

aaaalright then, benefit of the doubt. obviously i was slightly exaggerating (well a lot then) about the evil >:D people out there wanting to kill the forums, but yes they are simply lazy, nd yes laziness does greatly annoy me and if this mistreatment of all our systems continues it'll be the whole of the forums that is annoyed and angered. i guess the message is "be mature, practice restraint, and pay attention".

i find it sad that people can't be bothered to look at the topic and give it a proper rating between 1 - 5, not just 1 - 5. every time a new system comes up like karma and reputation power and this, people always complain that it's a bad idea or is silly because it gets abused. the systems are perfect in the running, they just aren't immune to those who desire to repetitively disrupt the good nature of the forums by abusing them.

additionally you can't have any one deck that dominates the game and RoL/hope is no exception. it has to be countered by something or other and fire buckler just happens to be it. the fact that it smashes it does not make it OP. besides i see little reason for concern about encountering fire shield/buckler since RoL/hope deck is designed for FGs and only Hermes has fire buckler, therefore that argument against this shield is redundant.

make it 2l4 and cost 2 :water. i see no point in it having a raised attack when you upgrade mind flayer since that extra power does nothing other than weaken it further by making it vulnerable to more shields. besides it's obvious that it's not even meant to be a major attacking card and yet upgrading it seems to try to make it so without any success. also i see no point in it's playing cost going up by 50% as the buff you give it when you upgrade it (plus 2hp and 1 att.) isn't justifiably good enough to do so. a definite buff required. an unupped card should never have preference over upped unless it's one of those interchanging ones like pufferfish and FFQ etc.

recently (like over the past week) i've been unable to connect to the forums. i know this has affected others as well and i'm sure that was because of the forum updates - what happened there? never mind. i didn't see SGs topic about the domain change before hand.

oh yes, and why has the post and preview post options moved over to the far right?

btw... where the HELL has the trainer disappeared to along with the resources???!!!

General Discussion / Re: Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

Maybe I'm just being paranoid.
Yes ... Elements works on your computer and not online, so even if your connection
is lost you will always have the impression that it is the other players "fault".
You got dropped.
Thanks for the reply, but I'm not getting it.

Surely Elements is played online in the sense that both players must connect?

Anyway the example I described is the first time in the 6500-odd games I've played that I've ever gotten that particular message. I've played plenty of PVP games during which I got the message 'your opponent is not responding...the computer will take over' (or words similar), after which the game went on as if I was playing an AI. When I get that message I assume it's my opponent's 'fault' i.e. their connection has dropped out or they've left the game intentionally.
i imagine that when your computer said that your opponent was not responding he lost the game. if your computer loses connection you lose because you cannot take any more actions and thus your time runs out (if you quit the the game it informs your opponent, not causes the timer to go all the way into the red). it's inevitable and unfortunate. if you find it a really bad problem i would suggest making a topic on the "suggestions and feedback" section to make clear that it should be fixed.
