Hi all.  I'm new to the Elements forums, but I've been playing the game for some time (a little over a year now.)

I stumbled upon the game while killing some time on kongregate, and now I find I kill absolutely all of my time on Elements.  So I hope that means I like it...

The introduction of the Arena is the main thing that drew me in so heavily.  I love the babysitting aspect, and I treat it like some kind of new-fangled Tamagotchi.  That description embarrasses me a bit, but love is love, I reckon.

I really hope to jump face first into card creation.

I like how the metagame switches up so frequently, but dislike that it basically bounces back and forth between fire and darkness (and so many times includes chaos, thanks to the sanctity of supernova.)

My favorite cards are: Mindgate, Fallen Druid, Quantum Tower, Shard of Serendipity, and Pulverizer.

I don't know what  :underworld means, though now that I clicked it i know it at least means colon underworld.  So that's a clue.

:rainbow is a mystery as well but I think I know now that I see the word after the colon.  I play  :rainbow decks!

I am impressed by the strength of the Elements community, though I don't speak its language yet.

Personally: I used to be a fairly avid (<- that's a strange coupling of words) Magic: The Gathering player, but the housing bubble burst my old        hobbies and led me to Elements, proving that there is good in every implosion, I again reckon.
I am a hugely avid writer, and I've worked on a few comic books, a silly little blog, and countless silly little things.
I have been in a band since I was fourteen, and haven't been for the past year, and it's killing me.
I'm here to learn, socialize, and create!  Let's coordinate!  (I'm also here to wax poetic, based on those last two sentences!)

Game Suggestions and Feedback / HP decrease in arena decks
« on: November 05, 2011, 04:34:58 am »
I really think the HP decrease in arena decks should operate on a merit-based scale; i.e.  total victories (or proportionate victories) should determine the decrease, in lieu of a necessitated daily decrease.  I find that in-game traffic is highest on the weekends, so an arena deck can experience a disproportionate win/loss rate depending on which day of the week it is constructed.  Changing the HP decrease parameters would automatically address the 'weekend discrepancy.'  For example: subtract 3-5 HP per victory (and possibly add 1-3 per loss?) so each deck will be ensured a certain number of matches with the intended deck construction, without the unfortunate punishment of spinning a desired card at the beginning of a low-traffic period.  Another example: force an HP decrease for each 5/10 wins, with no HP addition regardless of match outcome.  Whaddya think?

Here's a P.S.  The arena is a great idea!

Feel free to post a response to specify why you think so, or to specify which element I should have included!
