Duo-Decks / Re: Life/Air (None FQ)
« on: March 18, 2010, 11:51:20 pm »
I've done something similar, and it works quite well.
I had a few changes though: one less animate, (unupped) staff and adrenaline, and two less towers, replacing these with 5 unstoppables and my mark on gravity.
That way, shields are no longer an obstacle, and you do slightly more damage on top of that.
So, the deck that I posted to which icy linked.

Fun deck, anyway. It's fun when getting a non-EM is surprising.

I'd probably take out a dagger for another dark tower or eclipse. I know it's usual to have x weapons and x-1 animates, but since the point is to get it adrenaline'd and eclipse'd, you don't really care that much about leaving one in the weapon slot.

It's similar to a deck I posted (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,3122.msg30668#msg30668) which used druidic staffs with unstoppable for damage/heal. With the buff to dagger, yours is probably better (mine was never that great to begin with). Pretty fun deck type, in any case.

Rainbow Decks / Re: Attack of the Clones

the reason for such a light quantum pull is because (i assume) the fact that most of the cards are REALLY cheap.
Except for the firestorms and miracles and EE and hourglasses and TUs. But other than that, sure.

Trio & Quartet / Life/Gravity - Animated Adrenaline'd Staffs/lol EMs

I've seen some similar decks, but nothing exactly like this.

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5c5 5c5 5c5 5c5 5c5 74a 74a 74a 74a 74a 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7an 7an 7an 7an 7an 7n2 7n2 7n2 7n2 7n2 8pl

Pretty obvious usage, I suppose. Fly some staffs and epinephrine/unstoppable them. They'll get four attacks, so each will heal for 20 health and deal 12 unblockable damage.

This is not really a competitive deck or very useful for much more than AI3 (though I haven't tested much against AI5). It does virtually guarantee EMs, but at the same time, people grinding AI3 probably either won't care or won't have 5 staffs, so it's kinda meh. Still fun stuff though.

Also, besides the animate weapons, it should work decently unupgraded.

Inspired by this (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,3090.msg30296/highlight,druidic+staff#msg30296).

Life / Skillgannon's Speed Blitzing: Mono-Life
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:10:01 pm »

Yay for more mono stuff. My friend actually did a very similar (unupgraded) mono-life that was almost as fast as my (unupgraded) mono-fire. The small stuff that goes under Gravity Shield is pretty useful.

Gemini / Gemini's Massive Dragon spamming
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:10:01 pm »

Yeah, they have momentum but by the time he's put out enough gravity towers to play one, you should have been able to throw out most of your setup, from bonewalls and boneyards to empathic bonds and firefly queens.
This is a good point. He is often quite slow in getting out gravity towers, so if you get an early Pulv, you can sometimes prevent him from ever being able to play a dragon in the first place.

Rainbow Decks / Skillgannon's False God Deck

Lack of Fire Storm scares me a bit, but otherwise looks solid.

Also, my finger slipped when clicking "reply" and I accidentally hit "report spam" for Gir's post. Sorry about that.

Deck Help / Help with my deck
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:10:00 pm »

The guide Jellyfish linked you to is probably your best bet. I think it's the only rainbow on the forums that's been decently successful unupgraded.

Just a few of my own notes:
You need more defense. Sundials (should have 6), Dimensional Shields, Bone Walls, and Empathic Bonds fall into this category.

You don't need that many Otys. 3 is a good number for your size of deck.

You should have 3-4 Hourglasses for you size of deck.

Get a couple Rain of Fire. It's amazing for creature control and building Bone Walls.

Get a couple ffqs, Boneyards, and at least one Fallen Elf. You can can combo these to make armies of mutants with crazy-useful abilities. Boneyards also combo well with RoF.

Eternity is a good weapon and a great addition to a smaller rainbow deck (<40 cards) because you can prevent yourself from decking out. In your case, you shouldn't need it. Pulverizer is the ideal weapon, but both Owl's Eye and Lobotomizer are useful.

Deck Help / New player, hard leveling. Help?!?
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:10:00 pm »

Not bad. I actually start with the earth speed deck. Why? It's a bit more fun to play, I think it's faster, and you don't have to switch out marks when you go to rainbow thus saving you money.
But you either had to start as time and buy an entirely new deck or start as earth and have to switch your mark to time at the beginning. I fail to see how you save any money in the long run.
I start as time, and buy the two earth creature cards I need. I then already have some of the time cards for the rainbow deck. I prefer this as monofire gets boring to play.

I suppose for a newbie who's never played before. Monofire is the way to go.
Alright, whatever floats your boat. Earth/time mark is rather boring as well, imo. I guess clicking on Graboids is kinda exciting?

General Discussion / Mutations
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:10:00 pm »

More evidence:

The Blue Crawlers both have scavenger, though they started with different stats. The Chrysaora both had lycanthropy, though they started with different attack.

The pairs of Phase Spiders and Cockatrice are identical.

Those are mutated dragons for Oty, of course.

I've seen more Stone Dragons with growth. I've also noticed a lot of Crimson Dragons get hatch (which is kinda sad since I'm never gonna hatch a 15/6) and Shriekers get dive. I still wonder why this happens.

By stomped I mean wins less that half  :D
I definitely had more than a 50% win rate. Probably ~70%, but I didn't keep a record.
