General Discussion / Re: Finally had enough

It took me 2 days just to grind enough for one upgraded card.

Um.. what?! :)

May I suggest you change your deck or your strategy?
Sorry. It's just that we can't all be as cool as you.
The original poster said he's been playing the game for 6 months, yet it takes him two days to get one upgraded card. That is simply not possible unless he has a horrible performing deck or uses the wrong strategy.

Of course "two days" can mean a lot of things. If he only plays 1 hour per day, then I guess it makes more sense. But if that were the case, saying "2 hours" would be much better than saying "two days".

yeah.. especially since now there is AI 5 which is good for grinding... um.. and I say 2 cards/hour is I think what a good deck gets with fake god grinding, so if you play little (say an hour a day), then getting one upped card per 2 days without fg grinding is reasonable!

False Gods / Re: How long does it take you on average to take down a FG?
« on: February 07, 2010, 07:43:40 pm »
Great, now the poll has dissappeared during the downtime.  :(

I voted for 10min even though I often take close to 15min.
The main problem isn't really the deck speed or that I click too slow I think ... it's performance issues!

Since most rainbows will sooner or later throw up some 20+ critters, maybe even on both sides, the whole damage calculation etc. takes forever!

Also, I insta-quit Rainbow all the time now. Not only because he is too hard, but simply because I wont stand another match of sitting through his 1min hourglass-drawing-session EVERY TURN.

Am I the only one who has those problems?
Someone on the chat recently loled at my complaint and stated that he had a very good connection, thus finishing FG-matches in about 2min.  :'(

Yeah.. things also slow down pretty bad for me... I voted 10 min since this is usually how long it takes to win.. my losses though usually take about 2-5 mins (if i make it to mid game, i usually win :P)

In-game Troubleshooting / Re: Banned?
« on: February 07, 2010, 07:39:18 pm »
Actually the only thing i've been doing in game was T50 with the poison deck. I got tired of FGs. The only odd thing i did was before 1.19 were released, that was logging in beta to spin the oracle, and then get back to the main game for a couple of T50s. I haven't played much, only a few T50s like i said.

Regards
That's also what i did (never trust beta for my FG grinding experience!) and thankfully i wasn't banned..

Wow, defensive much? I suggest you reread what I said. Please note the complete lack of my claiming that your deck doesn't work.

<3 , not  >:(

2 fights, 2 easy wins (even in a row) with a rainbow deck. Can't really see the difficulty...
you are VERY lucky :P

Duo-Decks / Re: Ye Blessed Spark
« on: February 07, 2010, 07:03:07 pm »
I heard of this, accept I thought that you bless all the sparks to make six 8/3 creatures.
realistically, if you are fighting someone with creature control (or if you have many more blessing early then sparks) you want to give two blessing per spark...  if you are well balanced in sparks/blessings then you may want to get 6 8/3 creatures.. again though.. since i want to finish the game as fast as possible (and not wait to draw an even number of sparks/blessings) I end up geting sparks that are double blessed or not at all...

Murdoch : grind AI 5... you get upped cards from them and there are plenty of unupped decks that have good win rate...

Or you could try my deck >_>.
I have, the win rate with your deck is lower than what I get with mine. It could just be random sampling variation but of the ~30 games I played with your deck I only won 8.

Also it's still an Eternity/Oty deck so there isn't much incentive to change.
If both our decks fail for you then I dare suggest the problem is with you.. not with our decks..

For my decks, both jangoo and vreely got 56 and 59% success rates against all gods respective (more than my original claim of 55%)... which make combined ~300 games saying the deck works with > 55% rate (vreely variant has 150+ games saying 59%).

With Puppy he also had like 3 people who give his deck >50% win rate, and his own recent version says about 60% (although I guess with small sample size).

If you say:
"ivalmian's deck sucks ass  worse that an 'only pillar deck' but I win 50%+ with puppy"
I'd accept that.. but to say BOTH decks don't work is a little silly :P

It's your strategy that doesn't work...

False Gods / Re: New god: mascord (?)
« on: February 07, 2010, 05:33:57 am »
Clearly this is a mistake. Mascord is a Halfblood with Gravity and Mark of Entropy.

Why didn't anyone correct this? Anyone can edit the Wiki, you know. Do you expect the moderators (me, Chriskang) to correct all the mistakes?
yes :)

I see this is your first post Xiahou Dun, welcome! Also, thanks for the wonderful story! I enjoyed it and I hope the community can create something that would replace the barren story currently on wiki.

Random, Normal and Elder / Re: Best AI3 Farming Deck on the cheap?
« on: February 07, 2010, 03:18:29 am »
Shriker rush is EXTREMELY effective against AI 3... you can win almost all games within 8 turns :P Many will be done in 6-7 turns... I've NEVER lost with this deck (but then again, I've only played ~20 games with this again lvl3)

Very simple to build:

6 gab, 6 shrikers, 18 pillars...

No earthquakes, no weapons, no shields... You don't need any!
