Buff This Card! / Re: Fire Buckler

What Malduk said is dead on.  One major benefit of fire shield is killing RoL and Werewolf instantly.  This would make it a worse shield IMO.  And its not underused at all.

W-W-What?

There are more decks based around this card than any other card in the game.  The only card that comes close to it for mass use is cremation, which is a similar card that is often used in conjunction with nova.  Simply put, this card is a staple of any elements player's arsenal.

One thing you could look into is fractal + ball lightning.  Do that on the turn you use chimera and your chimera now has 20-45 more attack for just 7 :aether.
Also if you're getting outrushed, you could add a phase shield or two.  The only thing is you don't want to make the deck too fat, so shields might not work.

Wow.  That is not only a great card concept, it has FANTASTIC art to go with it.  Get this sucker up to the forge ASAP.

Rainbow Decks / Re: Nymphomania(V1.25) [FG-Killer]

I've been playing around with this deck for a day and have this so far:

Code: [Select]
6rq 6rq 6rq 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 71a 77f 7h0 7h0 7h0 7h0 7h0 7k0 7n0 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t9 80h 80h 80h
Shards - Those skills get expensive, these solve that problem.
Supernova - Quanta, simple as that.
Entropy Pendulums - Fuels your novas, and everything else.
Arsenic - I find this deck is lacking in damage quite often, and arsenic can be played after just 1 nova.  The damage stacks up pretty fast.
Pulverizer - Perm control.
Tears - For nymphs.
Mirror Shield - 1 nova to play, reduces damage by 1, reflects, invulnerable.
Improved Fog - 1 nova to play, and its called the hax shield for a reason.
Obsidian Towers - For Dark nymphs.
Improved Steal - Perm control, especially nice for weapons and shields that could come in handy.
Quintessence - Lets your nymphs stay alive.

I'm new to the whole nymph FG deck concept, so my win rate with this (or any deck with this strategy) isn't too good.  However, I think the additions I've made are improving the deck.  My biggest problem right now is decking out, so I might bring the deck up to 31 or 32 cards.  Earlier I had a gravity pendulum in the deck, to fuel the pulverizer and to nymph in the end game to help with EM, so that's one thing I'll consider adding in.  I'm also looking at adding 1 more quint, sometimes I can't get my second one for the dark nymph.
Any tips from people who are more experienced with nymph decks would be appreciated.

Guesses for that mystery creature:

1.  Elite Deja Vu - Deja Vu with adren and momentum is 12 damage per turn, split that bad boy and its 24 damage per turn.

2.  Scarab - Scarabs with PU and buffs is never a bad thing to have.

3.  Elite Graboid - Sheer damage output, simple as that.

Looks like a sweet deck, seems quite potent.  I was trying a similar style of deck to this a few days ago (came up with the idea independently) with 6 chaos power, 6 TU, etc.  The point was the same as yours, take a foe's creature and TU it.  Mine wasn't really getting anywhere so I ditched it, but has potential.

I like the idea too, but why just for one week?  Thats kinda unfair to the new players who, as you read this, are winning nymphs.  Just like I did, those people are going to upgrade those nymphs, and in a few months find out that it was a big mistake.  We may as well leave such an option permanent if it is implemented.

I'm saying you're going to want to start copying stuff that you want (creatures) as soon as possible.  I can see the deck working fine with just two, I'd personally add a third.

You get an undead battery.

I insert $3.50

Looks sweet, but 2 eternities in a deck that is like 90% reliant on drawing one early seems kinda risky.  I'd probably add a third to be safe.

Deck Help / Re: Mono Life: Upgrading
« on: November 05, 2010, 12:18:56 am »
Step 1:  Swap half of the pillars for life pendulums.  This makes your quanta generation take up two permanent slots, increasing your defense to earthquake (Time/Earth ai3 deck carries these)

Step 2:  Start upgrading pillars and pendulums.  Get ALL of them upgraded before you move on.

Step 3:  Upgrade creatures, gradually replace the adrenalines with improved heals

Step 4:  Get score like mad.

Definitely drop the Hourglasses.  Ditch the boneyards too, they take too much quanta to play.  I'd make the following substitutions:

Mark of Earth
-4x hourglass
-2x boneyard
+2x precognition
+1x lava golem
+1x arsenic > discord > vampire stiletto (take the first one you have)
+2x graboid
