I like this idea a lot. With an aether nymph or two and some stalling, this could be quite deadly with the right cards :D

mirror. It's the most original and interesting idea, imho.

Deck Help / Re: Great Fire Rush Deck
« on: June 28, 2010, 05:30:24 pm »
Way, way, way too many cards. Ash eaters+immolations fuel phoenixes for smaller decks, but with that many fire pillars, immolations are pointless, just immolate your own phoenixes and rebirth them the next turn. Why the nova? Why the holy lights?

Not bad, but decide on one strategy, and cut the deck down to as few cards as possible (30 is ideal). 5 ash eaters, immolations, and phoenixes with 15 cards left over for deflags, Rains of fire, fire bolts, etc. works well, as does using fire pillars and phoenixes with immolations to speed things up (play your first phoenix off of fire pilars, and play the rest off of immolating existing phoenixes, also allowing you to include several dragons and play them very quickly). Lava golems work well in an immolation deck instead of phoenixes (photons are good immolation-fodder because they're free to play).

This deck will get bad draws a LOT of the time. You're definitely using too much quanta (not enough pillars, even with the immolations). The lava golems will only be able to grow 2-3 times, which makes them next to useless in your deck compared to just taking more dragons or taking fewer cards. Search the forums for "lava golem rush" decks and browse the mono-fire threads to get some ideas for how to optimize your deck.

Thanks for posting, hope this helps!

@Owl: "Necessary Upgrades" are right in the beginning.
@Sethia: Yup, I have that strategy listed under another god, I think Incarnate (I gtg soon, so no time to check, sorry), but you're right, I was planning on moving it to Morte after noticing that it's actually a very effective strategy against him (like getting fractal gods to fractal your rays - easy to stop their damage).

I'll add most/all of the rest of the gods tomorrow. I'm trying out and adding new strategies as I go. I keep underestimating how quickly the Gods can stack on the damage, so I'm trying to find the optimal number of rays to put out against each gods to know when to fractal and thus be able to do it as soon as possible.

you only need 5 flying weapons, you have 6.

It was definitely deck-out, trust me. I've had that exact same experience, and was absolutely sure I rewound a creature, but couldn't be sure. I taped my games with a screen-recorder and played it back when the exact same thing happened, and sure enough, I forgot to rewind. Especially with a scaredgirl-type rainbow, where you're constantly clicking all over the place (FFQ, otyugh, firefly, fallen druid, skeleton), you'll sometimes just think you rewound without checking (make sure you have that 1 card indicator before you press space. Pressing space becomes automatic, so as soon as you think you're done, it's instinctual, and it's easy to subconsciously jump the gun.

Responding to the OP (didn't read thread, sorry): If somebody discriminates unfairly towards gays, blacks, etc. because of their religion, I care.

General Discussion / Re: question concerning score

I didn't entirely understand that, but my guess is that score depends only on winning/losing/elemental mastery, and money depends on winning/losing/elemental mastery/health.

I've been expirementing with a deck with bonewalls, shards of gratitude, mummies, and rewinds, along with a few gravity pillars, but I can't settle on a final build. When it works, boy does it ever work! Scarabs eliminate enemy creatures and build up your bone wall, and against immortal ones you can eat your own scarabs, and with 3 mummies out and 3-4 gravity pillars, you can stop all damage while still increasing your bone wall! ^_^

@avidteen: You can also kill any creature with a permafrost shield/freezes/congeals and shockwaves. Or with fire bolt/lightning/sniping and maxwell's demon again and again, though it might take a while. I tested a deck with owl's eyes and maxwell's demons today, and it can be absolutely ridiculous >.<. I threw in some quints and flying weapons, and my immortal army could kill pretty much anything, though it was very vulnerable to a number of things and took some time to setup.

A lot of those gods are listed as being unnecessarily difficult, and he leaves out a LOT of key strategies that make the games MUCH easier, such as playing one tower at a time against seism.
