Deck Help / Re: Phase Shield-Dragon-Fire Mark for Deflag

you won't generate enough  :fire to have farenheit be useful, and the fire bolts will only have anout 3-5 damage, and couldn't take down heavy dealers of stronger, faster decks, so the cc won't be effective. lobo would be the best option to add so you can take out momentum and gravity pull creatures (armagio's ability), also can stop poison decks to a certain extent (physalias), and also reduce the amount of adrenalined de ja vu's, pretty much adding lobo will make you're shields 100x more valuable

i love this cause you can easily EM RoL/Hope decks, precog to see their setup and the gas to take them out and prevent fractal and dragons

yeah i did that to see what would happen, and i got the same message, it's like how fractal's fortune from the oracle is "undefined" it's just something that has to be worked on, as of right now thats the standard message to tell you that you can't get anymore cards through this way

I like the concept of a creature flipping sides like that. Also, damage and healing; cool.

However, the mechanic doesn't work (as is): You turn Yin over to your opponent's Yang on your turn. Your turn ends. It doesn't do damage. Your opponent turns his Yang back over to your Yin on his turn. His turn ends. It doesn't heal you.

I guess what you could do, is make Yin's ability free, whereas Yang caries an (other) cost. That way it makes some more sense in terms of mechanics.
You turn your Yin into Yang. It doesn't to damage.
On your opponent's turn, it has summoning sickness. It heals you.
Next turn he switches into Yin. It doesn't do damage.
Your turn it does it damage, but has summoning sickness.
Because it's sort of in stasis, it balances out the effect, so it's nowhere near OP, but it still works.

exactly, it's like phoenix/ash, if you kill it, your next turn, it's one full, if they kill it, it's not one full turn yet, and can't use it's ability

and it should cost 5 :darkness and 4 :darkness unupped and upped, maybe more, because if you look at abomination, has the same attack and defense, and no ability, for 5 :entropy,  this gives you the option of healing, which i find that this is giving you an immortal SoG throughout the entire game, and i view healing as more important than attacking is some decks

In any case, I think the discussion got more complicated than it needs to beI believe we can more or less agree that it can be quinted and has an ability, and it hasn't been done before.
Now, how about we talk about the card and not the mechanics?
Do you think it's useful?
The idea is that you can switch a damage dealer to a healing card, and if it's healing you, your opponent can't do anything about it unless he switches it back to your side (turning it back into a damage dealer).
i've seen cards that were like this before, and they were all shot down before, and now it's forced healing (because it's immortal, something those didn't have), it might be "worse" depending on how it's viewed, also (i forgot to check before posting this) is the darkness one immortal too, cause it would be OP if it's not, you could have virtually +115 hp per turn because of fractal, and its not like  :aether :darkness duo isnt common or anything *cough cough*

Switched.
Saying it's an oxymoron because it's the same thing is an oxymoron. (lol)
Graboid starts out invulnerable and has a similar ability.
no thats redundant, and im not saying its the same thing, im saying they said they've never heard of it before, and then later said they've seen it before, hence it's an oxymoron

and i didn't mention graboid because they were strictly talkinig about immortal creatures, not burrowed

no what i mean is that the card is already quinted when played but has an ability
never seen one
Graboid...
Burrowed when played = Quinted when played.
quinted as in immaterial

lol, im back, and this time, may I please have miracle and SoD

but just because you haven't seen a pre-quinted card with an ability doesn't mean it can't have one, theres only 2 of them in the sense you are talking about (immortal and phase dragon). plus saying you've seen a creature with an ability then be quinted and use the ability, and then questioning an immortal creature being able to use an ability is somewhat of an oxymoron, sine it's virtually the same thing

This is a confirmed and frequently reported bug.  Redundant thread is redundant.
I'm glad you could help. I barely could read it...

yeah I've had this happen to me before, I just thought it was supposed to be kinda funny like some of the other fortunes are, based on the nature of this card
