Ice Maiden | Ice Maiden

NAME: Ice Maiden

COST: 4 :water
TYPE: Creature

ABILITY: Frozen Heart : When Ice
Maiden damages opponent
she has a chance to freeze the
weapon and/or shield.

TYPE: Creature
ATK|HP: 4 | 5

ART: ***Insert artist name***
IDEA: Dramore
NOTES: The ability "Frozen Heart" is an active skill. If the Ice Maiden
deal any damage to an opponent then there is a chance that
she may freeze the weapon and/or shield for 3 turns. If the
shield is frozen it has no effect for those 3 turns just as if the
weapon is frozen. They way I see this skill as it is now there is
a base chance per hit of 5%(yes i know it's small) but the greater
the :water in your pools the greater the chance the skill will trigger.
(+ to % for skill to trigger is :water / 2 round down to a max of 75%)
With the above amount that would max out the % when you had 140 :water.
Each hit is resolved once for the weapon and once for the shield.

Sweet image EmeraldTiger altho I like the Chaos Shift idea much better than the scramble for the Entropy Monolith.

The idea is good; must work on it though. It's fine like that but we have to define how calculate the % of luck to hit
Well if you think that the smaller creatures would be closer to the ground or able to hide better they would be able to avoid the effects better. so maybe 5% per hp? That way the bigger they are the easier they are ti hit?

@OldTrees   To be honest I kinda had a hard time thinking of something when this popped up. But they are your cards if you can work with this idea then feel free to use it. The only other idea about that I've had is sorta like a triggered dusk shield effect that you pay for every turn. not to sure about anything else. However I'll keep a pen handy and if I think of something I'll post it.

I got an idea for the Light Obelisk.   :light Bright Flare : Has a chance to blind creatures for next attack.
Or maybe.  :light Blinding Flare : has a chance to blind creatures for next attack.
Blind is only a 50% chance to hit on the next attack.

So this ability would have a full field effect and each creature would have a chance to be blinded based on it's hp to a max.
The max chance for a creature to be blinded is 50%. If a creature is blinded then it'll have a 50% chance to hit on it's next attack as well.
So each creature(includeing your own) has a limited chance to even be effected. If a creature has Adrin. added to it then only it's frist strike has the chance to miss. The rest hit as normal.

I don't know if your includeing creature ideas or not but for a creature that has an equal effect on both sides I'd like to point at a creature I posted a long time ago.

Also this card idea is in the forge right now. I think it would be a good card for the gravity effect if you are includeing creatures.

Card Ideas and Art / Re: "Double Quantum Generators " card series
« on: March 12, 2011, 07:40:50 pm »
Well mine ideas aren't the same... mine cards are all Permanent not creature and they has a good mana cost 2/4, however because they are permanent i can eliminate the quantum cost make them FREE double quantum generator  usefull in double element decks...
However can you give me a sort of list of all the cards that can be useful in the game?
Like more shields, more weapons and some failed ideas ( so my ideas can be right...)

Thanks
I do believe thats why Zanz made the pends.

Since this card is a creature, I'm assuming that having multiples of these guys out would not cause the effect to stack then, correct?

In either case, I don't want to say that this card is broken, but the idea of possibly disabling shields could be a cause of frustration for many people, as this might be able to bypass cards like Wings or Gravity Shield (since the defensive 'active' ability of the shield is canceled). If it does stack, then Entropy would be the most effective element for both CC and PC, as the ability to basically waste quanta for an opponent's creature could be devastating (an Otyugh being unable to eat, or a Nymph losing its chance to use its alchemy ability).

Also, how does this affect pillar and pendulum stacks? Does the entire stack just fail completely in generating quanta? Or does it only affect 75% of the pillars/pendulums within the stack itself?
Ok first off this does not stack at all. I gave the Firewall example only because it deals damage. The other shield effects that trigger when a creature attacks would be affected, but any shield that is always on(like Wings) would not be affected. Also pillars/towers would not be affected at all. Pendulums would be affected as a stack tho only the switching effect from one quanta type to another. (which means that it's triggered at the end of the turn and would have a **% chance not to switch to the 2nd type of quanta.) This effect does not affect quanta production as in most cases it's a passive ability.(At least thats what I'm thinking from talks with Kael Hate over codeing for my(now old) Runes Seires.)

Interesting concept. I quite like it. I assume it doesn't stack and has a chance to activate for each individual pillar/pendulum. Even with that, it would be too powerful quanta denial. Make sure it doesn't stop quanta and I'm fine with it.
Your right it does not stop quanta production. Only the quanta type switching of the pends.

I'm also thinking that maybe the **% might be a little to high. Wondering if 40% / 60% would be better.

Vanilla Creatures with X|5 stats (X varies between creatures) tend to have a Cost of X quanta when unupped.

So a 3|5 creature would be worth 3 :fire. (although it would not be a Fire creature because Fire has high attack low hp usually)

The backlash effect would need to be balanced with above average stats.
It probably should remain brittle so that the effect occurs more often.

Suggestion (mostly guesswork)
Casting Cost: 4 :fire|3 :fire
Attack: 6|7
HP: 1
Effect: When destroyed deal controller 5 damage and all of controller's creature take 2 damage.

Notes on suggestion:
I increased the cost so it would not compete with Ash Eater
I increase the Attack to be worthy of the drawback
I simplified the drawback and decreased the severity
I do not know if my suggestion is balanced but it appears to be closer to balanced and fit the idea better for ETG.
Thank you Old Trees. All I can say is I'll make some changes as soon as I get another chance to be online. I hoped to keep the quanta  :rainbow based to make it better able to combo . How ever that may not be as good of an idea as I'd thought.
