Maybe change it to a creature type that does 1 damage each turn and just costs less as an upgraded, but with the same design - if no enemy creatures, it dies out.

Maybe 3:30, though I posted it this morning without re-reading it.

How would it handle switching from a fire-gravity to fire-gravity-earth or vice-versa.

Load a Dual-Card (it splits them back to the basics).
You add your new card in the third slot(or re-arrange and add it in second maybe).
Pay full to generate the Combined-Card, or would you only pay the difference (+ penalty). So maybe difference*1.2.

Why increase the price? Getting a deck ful of these would cost a lot, especially if you don't need one of the elements anymore and need to replace your pillars.
What do you do when you re-design your deck? Are you out all those pillars or can you just forget the cash and revert them all to basics to be swapped out?

cards       cost          +              total+      -               total-
1              6
2              24                                            24            30
3              54            36            60            34            62
4              96            51            105          44            106
5              150          65            161          53            163
6              216          80            230          63            231
7              294          94            310          72            312
8              384          108          402          82            404
9              486          123          507          92            508
10            600          137          623          101          625
11            726          152          752          111          753
12            864          166          892

Going fairly simply on a 1.2 multiplier for adding a card and 0.8 for removing a card, the + column would be how much it would cost to add 1 card from the current setup and the - would be the same for removing that card. The Total+ and Total- columns are the final cost of the change(not cumulative). The combined cost for multiple cards would be simple enough to calculate.
* i was bored and it was easy enough so i did the table up to 12 cards as 1 slot for each color

Then, if you choose, you could just scrap everything and fully revert the card for free (or maybe half the base cost to generate it).

Also, would it allow Quantums to be added?

Base (Upgraded):

Blaze (Inferno)

6 Fire Quanta (6 Fire Quanta)

Shield - 2 damage dealt to all enemy creatures. Extinguishes after 3 turns if no enemy creatures.
(Shield - 3 damage dealt to all enemy creatures. Extinguishes after 3 turns if no enemy creatures.)

-----------------

It could potentially last the whole game if going against immortal creatures. It will continuously burn at them even though they don't take damage or it could be coded to ignore them since I believe they are listed as Immaterial.

Ok, I wasn't quite sure of the game mechanics behind that so I was confused.

Issue Archive / Skeleton Attack Glitch
« on: January 04, 2010, 06:47:15 am »
I love playing this game and I do overthink things so that's why I am popping up in this forum so much.

I noticed that when a creature dies and spawns a Skeleton, the Skeleton occasionally gets to attack immediately and sometimes it doesn't. The attack sequence that I noticed is based on the "order" of placement. So if a creature attacks and dies (either to poison or fire shield), their Skeleton can attack if it spawns in a later position of attack.

C: creature
E: empty position

Setup : CECCC
Order : 34152

if the creature in position 1 attacks and dies, the skeleton spawns in position 4, the 2 followed by 3 attacks, the skeleton attacks and 5 attacks

Setup : CECCC
Order : 34152

1, 2, 3 and 5 attack, 5 dies and a skeleton spawns in 4 but doesn't attack

Fighting Top50 : MeIYouUsWe. His first creature down is Fallen Druid after I placed my second Lava Golem. My first Golem had used Growth so he was the stronger and therefore likely target of the Druid. The Druid used Mutation and turned my Golem into a Phase Dragon. My turn, then his next turn he targets the Dragon and turns him into a Deja Vu.

Is a mutated Phase Dragon supposed to be targetable or should it follow the same rules as a regular Phase Dragon?

Game Suggestions and Feedback / Re: Boneyard + BoneWall

I get it that the my shield was a bad idea, I was just wondering if it was overlooked that the boneyard(s) are supposed to work in parallel with the bonewall and not in serial or if thats how the designers wanted it to work.

The other two were still alive with 1 hp each so I didn't find it odd that they died at the end of that same turn.

Game Suggestions and Feedback / Boneyard + BoneWall
« on: January 03, 2010, 03:36:23 am »
I am not sure if this was intentional or just simply overlooked. Fighting against a Top50 DarkAir Deck, I noticed that my enemy destroyed me with BoneWall just by having a boneyard and Firefly Queen (or its upgraded version, don't remember). I have a Fire deck with FireShield being my primary defense and Fahrenheit as my primary attack and a few dragons for when I get to them.

As the fight went on, I was doing no damage whatsoever. He would spawn Fireflies, which would die, generating both Skeletons and more BoneWalls. The skeletons would then die, generating even more bonewalls. By the time my weapon was doing around 50 damage, he had almost 30 BoneWalls blocking me.

No, I started paying attention when I began using (and randomly losing) scarab swarms. I payed close attention to their hp gauges when I thought I had just set one down and 2 turns later after I had just used devour and put its hp to 4. It was hit by two Thunderstorms and then when I finished my next turn, it died.
