Religion / Re: are you creationist or evolutionist?
« on: October 02, 2011, 04:36:17 am »
I am a creationist and not an evolutionist. But i do believe in evolution. The word eveolution has different meanings. I believe in change over time, which is one type of evolution, but not one species becoming a whole new species which is the other type of evolution. Never has been any proof of the second type and there isn't any evidence from the fossil record. Some evolutionists are so desperate for evolution to be true that they make up a link from part of a fossil that doesn't even have the parts it needs to be even considered that. There are many more reasons, but i don't have the time to share these reasons.
If there's change over time, wouldn't it eventually get to the point of a new species? Or would it magically stop right before we would cal it a new species? And I'm 97% sure that there is quite a bit of proof in the fossil record.
No, can something change and get worse? That would be devolving not evolving, so something doesn't evolve just by changing. Also, you change in ways just by getting older you grow and stuff, but do you become a new species? There is NO proof in the fossil record that has been found.

Does that mean science is a religion too and that you shouldn't believe it because science can't even prove science? Meaning, you can't prove the scientific method with science, we just assume it to be true. And assuming science to be true, that is a proven fact.
How do you "prove" the scientific method? The scientific method is a process, not a belief. Comparing the scientific method to religion is like comparing a verb to a noun. Your argument makes no sense.
It can't be proven, thats what i was trying to say.

Cynic that I am, I would have to say Bingham Young or Muhammad, or maybe even Jesus...
In my opinion, they took advantage of people's beliefs and MADE a religion. Shame on you... to be so anti-religious as to have the guts to make one to manipulate people.

No offense to to those Mormons, Christians, and Muslims out there. Just substitute your specific religion founder with someone else.
I myself am religious. And a little bit cynical, but still religious.
You clearly don't no anything abut the bible, so you should shut your mouth. Jesus did not make a religion, Jesus was prophesied about and he fulfilled those prophecies. Bingham young did make up a religion though. Please do research before you bag on other religions, look up stuff from the other people's perspective not what other people tell is wrong with the religions. I'm not saying to accept them, just study them first.

didn't have the arsenics so i added 1 jade staff and a parralel universe. I actually have a lot of the weapons except discord, eternity, arsenic, vampire stilleto, and the grav and earth one. so i actually don't have most of them, more like slightly less than half.

Siddhartha. (aka Buddha)
founder of budhism is atheist ?
(now that i know what agnostic atheist means) yes.
TECHNICALLY all religions are atheist, it just depends on who it is thats looking. a jew is an atheist int he eyes of a christian or a catholic. a christian is an atheist in the eyes of a muslim. do you see the pattern im hinting at?
Actually, a jew isn't an atheist in the eyes of a christian because they believe in the same god. Jews just believe the old testament only, and that the christ hasn't come yet

And some people have witnessed things that would be explained only as God's doing.
Ah. But I happen to disagree with the bold red part. If God can be explained by science, then he is no longer a being of religion. If you can convince me of God's existence, then I will believe in God. But I will never believe in religion; only science.

If someone sees something that blatantly defies the current model of physics, he might think "a wizard God did it". But I never will think such a thing. I'll keep trying to find a scientific explanation.

And God is very logical, any christian that denies that the God of the bible is logical is or can break the laws of logic, they are basically denying God himself. God cannot break the laws of logic because those laws are part of his nature. The reason i say that the christian would be denying God, because if he could brake those laws, how could we even know he exists and why would we even have those laws in the first place.

It matters if your going to go to hell. And the bible, the christian bible is not contradicting, and many things in the bbile have been proven historically, and some things in the bible state true facts that we haven't discovered by science until recently, and the bible was written form God thousands of years ago.

How can we have a standard of right and wrong if we all evolved. All it would be is other opinions if it was like that. If evolution is true and The bible isn't, what makes it wrong to kill someone because you want to?
