If you're only using  :time for precogs & 1 GotP, would it be better to switch your pendulums to towers? Just a minor change to get Discord out faster & more consistently

What happens if you have a creature with both momentum and another ability? Does Acceleration overwrite the other ability, or the other way round? (eg: Does momentumed Deja Vu get accelertion or guard)

Duo-Decks / Bone Stalkers - Otyugh's Feast [Silver/Gold Arena]

Second attempt at an Arena farmer:

Works fairly well. It's not fast, but it has a reasonably high winrate, increasing rare spins. Against the main deck archetypes in Arena, Otyugh / Bone Wall shuts down most rushes; Depending on draws on both sides, poison can overcome Fire Stalls; Using Otyughs to bait Lobotomiser away from Deathstalkers gives the win.

Card Breakdown -
Death Pendulum: Quanta, duh
Deathstalker: Main source of damage; Exponential damage helps to overcome SoGs and the like eventually.
Unstoppable: To be used on Deathstalker; The combination of momentum and poison damage renders shields practically useless in defence.
Elite Otyugh: Serves as repeatable CC, while fueling Bone Wall; Unstoppable can be used on this rather than Deathstalker for consumption purposes.
Bone Wall: Blocks out practically all damage, while being sustained by Otyughs; If gotten out early enough, can facilitate EMs.
Arsenic: Nice for weapon slot; Builds on poison damage, while PC is attracted to Bone Wall.

Feedback is welcome.  :D

Duo-Decks / Red Bull Gives You Wings! [Arena Gold]
« on: July 31, 2011, 07:44:54 am »
So I was messing around in Arena with a modified Cremation rush when I stumbled upon this gem:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
6rk 7dm 7dm 7dp 7dp 7dp 7dp 7dp 7dq 7dq 7dq 7dq 7dq 7ds 7ds 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7n7 7n7 7n7 7n7 7n7 7n8 7n8 7n8 7n8 8po

Basically drop Damselflies whenever you can, Cremate to get Destroyers out, Wings when necessary (if you're lucky, early Wings against no flying/PC decks can get EMs). Works quite well, has not been extensively tested, but it is still in its early stages. Generally faces problems with fragility, but other than that, it deals with incoming damage very well. Currently testing out 2 other versions to deal with fragility: Pheonixes instead of Destroyers, Elite Fireflies instead of MPs & Heavy Armours instead of Shockwaves, Mark of Earth. Feedback is welcome; it's still a work in progress.

Issue Archive / Mutant with guard
« on: July 16, 2011, 12:55:49 pm »
I was battling someone in Silver League, when he got a mutant with guard. When he used its effect on one of my creatures, instead of it just being stalled, it died (which I believe may have been because of the original effect of guard).

Rainbow Decks / Liquid Cremations - Shadow of the Golems

My first attempt at a speed EM deck:

Have not fully streamlined this deck, need more feedback.
Considering the following edits at current:
- Vamp Dagger
- Precog
- Explosion
- Heavy Armour
+ Long Sword
+ More Liquid Shadow
+ Minor Phoenix

After 20 games of testing (not a lot):
ttw - 7.65
EM rate - 75%

There are 2 main strategies:
Weenie Rush - Spam as many creatures as possible, spread out or avoid using buffs
+ Less susceptible to CC
+ Usually faster
- Lower EM rate

Alpha Male - Select one creature and spam all buffs on it (Heavy Armour enhances survivability), Liquid Shadow it at appropriate time
+ Absorbs lots of CC if buffing is successful
+ Higher EM rate due to more healing from larger Vampire
- Rewind and mutation kills it

It takes some time to get used to it so that you can time your Liquid Shadows correctly, but when you do, it will greatly increase EMs.

Strategy for AI3:
Mono Aether:
Strategy - Adapt. Try to get out Golems with a Heavy Armour or multiple Golems at once to prevent Lightnings.
Explosion - Dimensional Shield unless absolutely necessary for Lobotomiser
Liquid Shadow - None

Firefly Queen:
Strategy - Either. Try to get out buffed Golems prevent Shockwaves. Finish as fast as possible; the more the game drags on, the harder it will be to EM.
Explosion - Owl's Eye
Liquid Shadow - None

Panda Voodoo:
Strategy - Alpha Male. The more creatures you have, the higher the chance that he will cast Pandemonium. Don't play Vamp Dagger; he WILL Steal it.
Explosion - Dusk Mantle / Stiletto if its a big hindrance
Liquid Shadow - None

Entropy/Death:
Strategy - Adapt. Plagues kill weenie rush, while Mutations kill Alpha Male. Adapt to suit his hand.
Explosion - Arsenic
Liquid Shadow - Maxwell's Demon

Gravity/Earth:
Strategy - Weenie Rush. Basilisk Bloods kill Alpha Male.
Explosion - Pulveriser
Liquid Shadow - Otyugh, Auburn Nymph, Armagio

Rage Voodoo:
Strategy - Alpha Male. Try to get out Golems with a Heavy Armour to prevent Rage Potion.
Explosion - Dusk Mantle / Fahrenheit if its a big hindrance
Liquid Shadow - Phoenix, Fire Spirit

(Almost) Mono Gravity:
Strategy - Adapt. If you have an Explosion to guard against Gravity Shield, Alpha Male works great. However, without it, weenie rush works just as well, just watch out for Otyughs (you might need to Cremate excess creatures).
Explosion - Titan / Gravity Shield
Liquid Shadow - Otyugh, Armagio

Life/Entropy:
Strategy - Adapt. Fallen Elf and Maxwell's Demons can kill Alpha Male, but with enough Heavy Armours, you can balance the attack and defence. If it is not viable weenie rush is also viable.
Explosion - Discord / Druidic Staff
Liquid Shadow - Maxwell's Demon, Fallen Elf

Light/Air:
Strategy - Alpha Male. Owl's Eyes and Crusaders are REALLY bad for weenie rush, pray he doesn't get an early Owl's Eye and that you get enough buffs to kill him before he kills your Golem.
Explosion - Owl's Eye / Wings
Liquid Shadow - None

Life/Time:
Strategy - Either. Easiest battle. Really slow, so you have enough time to kill him with him barely dealing any damage.
Explosion - Procrastination / Druidic Staff
Liquid Shadow - Big Scarab (on IMPOSSIBLY rare occasions)

Timebow:
Strategy - Adapt. This guy is REALLY unpredictable so just take it as it comes.
Explosion - Fog Shield / Druidic Staff / Discord
Liquid Shadow - Otyugh, Arctic Squid, Parasite, Maxwell's Demon

Time/Light:
Strategy - Weenie rush. Just plain irritating. Explode Sundials when you have the most damage out. Save buffs against Reverse Times.
Explosion - Procrastination / Sundial
Liquid Shadow - Unbuffed Dune Scorpions

Fire/Water:
Strategy - Weenie Rush. His freezes can stop you Alpha Male in its tracks, just watch his :fire in case of Rain of Fire.
Explosion - Ice Shield
Liquid Shadow - Red Nymph / Steam Machine / Fire Spirit

I am open to suggestions  :)

FG Proposals / Re: Paradox: Improved
« on: May 30, 2011, 01:29:59 am »
1. Paradox was not one of the first  :D
2. Just a suggestion: Have you tried a version with Luciferase and Hope? Works really well in even without special False God abilities.
3. What Onizuka said, Version 1 is way too tight on  :time
4. MOAR TURTLE SHIELD  :P

Rainbow Decks / Re: Hourglass 1 and only!! (voodoo deck)
« on: May 24, 2011, 01:27:31 am »
Woah! Great deck! Two games in and I've already EM'd Eternal Pheonix AND Incarnate!  :)
Good call on the Nightmare mod, though I'm wondering, how would a Pandemonium fit in there?

So a  :life :light deck with this and rustlers is basically a grow that costs :light and generates :life :life that can be used multiple times a turn?  :o

You should probably either move photosynthesis to the "The following abilities are *not* taken in count for this card" section or did what zanz did with Shard of Readiness, reduce the ability to once a turn.

About the second deck:
What xdude said, and if you're only using time for rewinds and precognitions, I'd recommend switching to Obsidian Towers, like so:
