In-game Troubleshooting / don't know what to do...
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:09:52 pm »

if u have 2-3 rares i recommend restarting and getting an eternity: gives you much more chances than lobo against false gods and is rarer than it. Once you know the way to win it will took few hours to regain what you have now (i discovered the rareness of eternity only when i noticed i had all rares excet it: cant go back, but do it for me!!!)

should be something to prevent you to sell rare weapons...i've lost a monring glory too (but was a good thing to have 4 left :P)
Or at least a sort of Rare-for-rare exchange with cpu, like giving 2 for one, something like this, just to avoid having plenty of vampires stilettos, driud staffs, eagle eyes, arsenic, fahrenheits and so few pulverizers, poseidon and etenities: rare must be all the same rarity!

In-game Troubleshooting / Rare farming
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:09:52 pm »

Yesterday I built chivals fire speed deck for lvl3 and I have picked up tons of rares quite quickly. It requires no thinking and has a win rate of more than 90% and rares drop frequently for me. I picked up 1 Squid, 4 Eternities, 2 Eagle Eyes, 1 Miracle, 1 Morning Star, 1 Vampiric Stilleto and 1 Trident.
4 eternities!?!?!?!?!?? here all the rares i didnt got: you have the right side of luck! (i'm crying)

i use two ways, but i'm not sure the best (since people seem to find rares more often than me, they'll have a specific tactic)

what is possible:
1. false gods: chance of winning a rare: GOOD // win percentage: 80% with a good huge deck // fight time: TOO MUCH! // money earning: LOT
2. AI3: chance of winning a rare: few // win percentage: 100% // fight time: RIDICOLOUS // money earning: what!? :P
3. top50: chance of winning a rare: few // win percentage: 90% with high speed rainbow // fight time: FEW // money earning: few but something

I prefer top 50 because you can win all rares and sometimes top50 playes leave a deck full of rares but not working, because they's reaorganizing cards, and with an easy win you get high chances! (got 3 shards like these, even some useless [over 6th] eagle eye)
I dont use 2nd way because too much boring, but false gods are the best if you need even some money to get some new deck.

Someone has better tactics? I'm searching for new methods

Trio & Quartet / BIG MAMA deck
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:09:51 pm »
ok guys, i admit it, i insanely like flying weapons. So again a flyin' weapon deck, but what a fun now!!!

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]

Tactic:

Make the big mama (titan) fly! This huge and fat 8/70 will be healed by his little sons (archangels) while gravity pulled, preventing all damage! Other gravity pull are good to kill annoying creatures, like too-damaging dragons and anything menacing your tactic (Otyughs, mind flayers...).
Obviously this is just a concept deck, missing any kind of permanent control, but dont say it isn't fun!

Look the big mama in a tour with his babies:

Duo-Decks / Flyin' Eagles deck
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:09:51 pm »

good ideas
the picture was from an early version, so i did get more explosions, but rain of fire seems excessive...
I've even thought about fire shield, but seemed like pure sadism :D (even if effective against small creatures crowds).

Simple a funny deck if you like eagles, but even effective in top50 and pvp because of his innate creature control. I made it just because i like flying weapons :D
And make a good use of your explosions!!!

Optional:
rain of fire: to exploit your fire quanta
lighting storm: just for details too small for your eagles :)

Fire / Simple mono-fire top50 killer
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:09:51 pm »
The old and good-working mono fire, in my top50 version:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7di 7di 7dk 7dk 7dk 7dk 7dk 7dk 7dm 7dm 7dm 7dm 7dn 7dn 7dn 7dn 8po

Tactic:
play only fahrenhiets, not dragons, and obviously pillars. Your 4 weapons give you the chance to replace stolen/destroyed weapons. With explosions destroy only most annoying permanents (emphatic bond, pulverizer, trident [i met it in a rainbow deck!], phase shields) or pillars if enemy has a bad start and is mark is not entropy (because of supernovas).
Accumulating quanta u'll be able to kill the enemy simply firing your fire lances! It takes just a little concentration for calculating the right moment to strike...
Dragons are for last turn rushes (play fire lances before, obviously) or to play in really slow enemy starts, but usually dont play them: too fragile (even good to power up enemy bone walls)
Nothing difficult and i win almost everytime (Edit: against rainbow decks)

Exeptions:
Black & Fire decks: play early the dragons (if u've not upgraded them they'll be even more resistant) and kill anything offensive with bolts. Good luck! Just try to cover the mana loss (because of pests) with many pillars (poor tactic but efffective :)). Against mono-fire problem is that u have no rain of fire, so good luck again!

Is there a difference between the un-upgraded "Shard" based on what it is won from?
I believe so.  I spun three shards and they all appeared to be the same.  I was farming Top 50 at the time so I was spinning for un-upgraded cards, and I about crapped my pants.  But no card popped up at the side and I became very sad.  I looked through averything I could imagine and found no shard.  So I believe the un-upped versions of both shards will look the same in the slot machine, but you'll only win if they're all three the same shard.
Yes, this has ben clarified in another thread:

We must mention even the classic fire/light:

mark of light

It's not as fast as poison, but has a 100% win against rainbow in top50 (AI will never target your upped sundials).
I must say that earth/time isnt good against top50: too few permanent control.
Mono fire can have very good results in built like this (even if not all upgraded, but towers instead of pillars are a great help):
