One word: Simplicity. That's part of the appeal of Elements to me, that it has such a small pool of well balanced cards. Graveyard cards add a whole bunch of new concepts, yes, but they add a whole new layer of confusingness. That's what turned me off of MTG. It had way too many abilities and ~1000 playable cards at one time that were in desperate need of balancing.

But don't you think the cards we have at our disposal are going to get old fast? THere are so many different concepts and strategies you can pull of with a discard pile.

Obviously you haven't used the cards that were added in 1.25.
Those are awesome.
And keep in mind that Zanz would have to reprogram almost the entire game to get this to work.
And zanz is the only developer.
And after they were programmed, someone would find a way to abuse one of the new cards.

Do you see where this is going?

Today the event is starting! As said earlier, it is Round Robin.
Post your results here, and I will record them.

A few comments and questions.  I corrected the decks of Dream Catcher and Seism here (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,7919.msg166306#msg166306).  Feel free to use either this or what you already have.  I just thought I'd give you a heads up.

I didn't look through all the decks listed, but I noticed Seism in the opening post is missing the Silurian dragon.  I know that was against the rules and just wanted to ensure the exception was intentional.

The opening post makes mention of brackets.  Are brackets up somewhere?

Any problem with Hermes having six or so towers replaced with five pendulums?  I don't have a final build yet with upgrades for Trials reasons, but I should soon.

The Silurian Dragon missing is intentional.

I need to make the brackets on Challonge later, I'll post them in the OP when I do.

Replacing the towers with pendulums is fine.
