Card Ideas and Art / Re: Voidwalker | Voidstalker
« on: February 21, 2011, 03:03:25 pm »
I thought of something else: your opponent can nullify a Voidstalker with a single Blessing. On the other hand, if you want to boost it, since there's no spell lowering a creature's attack, you would need Antimatter + Chaos Power/Blessing/Momentum + Antimatter. This is a quanta and cards waste.
About this + Adrenaline... I know that adrenaline gives 5 attacks to 0 attack creatures, but I wonder how it works for creatures with negative attack.
The game only takes the absolute value into account, means a creature with -2 attack would attack 4 times, one with -5 attack 3 times with different strengths etc. If it wasn't like that, Liquid antimatter decks would be crazy.
If you use antimatter + CP, you'll be having some TU's as well, most likely. That would require even more cards, though. Fractal probably is the better choice.

I must say, I really like this whole void idea, though it would be incredibly difficult to balance it with the other cards.

Card Ideas and Art / Re: Scythe Of Souls | Scythe of Souls (upgraded)
« on: February 19, 2011, 11:00:15 am »
Was this made from scratch, or edited?
From scratch.

Compared to Fahrenheit, it costs 2 quanta more and does one damage less. I'd say the cost is fine, seeing how fractal retroviruses etc. can make the weapon grow extremely fast. Base damage could be increased by one, though. It would make the weapon more useful without any special synergy, but wouldn't make too much of a difference later on.

First of, I like the idea and don't think it is overpowered if you compare it to vulture or - to have two weapons - fahrenheit.
Kind of confusing to see two threads, but I thought it would be more fitting to post my take on a scythe-image here as your version was the one I had in mind.
I'm not much of an artist, but I figured it wouldn't hurt posting the image, anyway. Maybe you have a use for it as some kind of placeholder.

Rather weird, I know. But it is supposed to beat every god just once. And that actually works quite well.

That one actually was quite a bit harder than I expected, due to the quanta god not giving me any entropy quanta.
Screenshot shows exactly what I like about flooding + antimatter.

Nice idea and fits perfectly for death.
But really, nobody brought crusader into the discussion yet?

Cells are still unaffected by flooding. That is why he has skull bucklers in there.
Looks like a nice deck, you'll only get problems when your enemy has too much Permanent control.
I guess you'll need some water pillars less with the next patch when flooding only costs one quanta per round?
Funny coincidence, btw. I had the thought of building a deck around flooding today as well (linked with another almost useless card, nightmare, though).
Me likes. Always nice to see some rather unusual decks.

@cookiepirate: I had quite a bit of luck. But black hole just doesn't stand a chance against soul catcher.
Here is my deck:

Decay got killed by his own weapons.  :P Fun thing is that I haven't got a single devourer in my deck. But a mindgate-based deck works just as well.

Nice addition to the usual quanta denial methods, I really like it. Thematically it would work well with both gravity and darkness.
I also think that it could have a nice synergy effect with mindgate. If you don't get the mana you need to play your opponents cards, you can use this one. If you do, you can still use it for quanta denial.

Deck Help / Re: Parallel Dissipation(only tested in AI5 and PvP)
« on: February 07, 2011, 06:18:39 pm »
While I do like the idea, fights are likely to last extremely long and you don't have anything to counter steals/deflagrations. If you don't mind that, shrink the deck down a bitdidn't know the chance is that high and it should be fine as long as the enemy has some strong creatures. If not, mutation might help, but unupped that's a risky game.
A while ago, I had a similar (rainbow)deck based on upgraded dissipation shields, quantum towers, antimatter and protect artifact. For damage I chose dune scorpions, because one single strike would be sufficient if I could just survive for long enough. It was quite fun to play with and not too bad either. Might also work well with some fallen druids...

Darkness / Re: Nightmare | Nightmare
« on: February 07, 2011, 03:16:48 pm »
What I find very interesting about nightmares: Using it together with aflatoxin will fill your opponents board in 3 turns, most likely. Add a mirror shield(cheap and can't be stolen, that is all we need), some cards to kill the other creatures and some damage dealers (or Fallen Druids + Aflatoxin on your side. Or dune scorpions).  Only works if you get out aflatoxin fast enough, though.

Well, until some time ago I used a Firefly Queen deck with hope against DG and I haven't lost any match (Didn't fight too many, though). It might not be as good as RoL/hope, but I didn't use any upgraded cards for it. I don't know about the EM chance with emphatic bonds and/or heal though as my version was pretty much a mono-air one with a few pendulums and life mark (with additional wyrms and skyblitz to go for speed rather than EM)
