False Gods / what is your favorite FG killer/farmer?
« on: December 11, 2010, 03:32:23 pm »
I'm starting this thread because i'm fairly new to this  "buisness" and would like to get a bit of insight in what decks are used often and how effective they are. And what better way then asking more experienced players. so in the end i can hopefully decide on one to go by and start getting some nice cards and replacing the RoL/Hope deck that i use now because i find it quite dull and boring

so , whats your favorite FG killer/farmer?

thanks in advance :)

yeah i know the mark doesn't count for an extra element. but it tought that maybe the shards did :) guess they don't.
And i don't really see the harm in having some extra earth quanta... drawing a poseidon on the first turn doensn't happen often so you got almost always enough earth quanta to use the poseidons ability and destory some pillars/pendulums which can be quite annoying (unless they can draw three of their mark like FG's )

this is my go at a Water deck thats meant to stall and kill either by creatures or ice lances.

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
6rq 6rq 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gm 7gm 7gm 7gm 7gm 7gm 7gn 7gn 7gn 7go 7go 7go 7go 7gp 7gp 7gr 7gr 7gr 7gr 7gs 7gs 8pm

the usage of the deck is fairly simple.

12 water towers  :          QI 5.3  (64/12)
6 abbyss crawlers :         your main source of damage
4 artic octopus                 this is a small source of damage but it's main goal is CC and stalling monsters by congealing them
2 shards of readiness :   use this on the artic octopus to get a costless instant freeze
3 congeal :                      sometimes you need this if you don't draw an artic squid right away or it gets destroyer
4 ice lances :                   can be used for CC but also for a big hit further to the end of a game
2 permafrost shields :     reducing damage while freezing creatures
2 poseidons :                  every 2 turns you can destroy your opponents quanta intake a bit giving him less chance in the long run

overall strategy :  play your towers (obviously) and get out an artic squid as soon as possible for early CC, don't play them out all at the same time if the opponent has CC (max 2 at the same time) play a shard of readiness on an octopus when possible. Then when you can, play your abyss crawler , shield and poseidon. once again when possible destroy your opponents pillars/towers/pendulum with your weapon to keep his quantum reserve as low as possible. freeze all your opponents creatures . usage of the ice lances can vary. It can be used to kill annoying enemy creatures (like scarab , otuygh, etc) or they can be saved to deal a massive punch further in the game. if you don't have an artic octupus in place you might want to use a congeal instead.

i tested this in the trainer and since this is a fully upgraded deck it never failed against AI3.  i also tested against T50 and won a fair amount of games. just don't expect EM :)

on terms of quanta denial this looks good. but isnĀ“t it a little under develloped on terms of damage ?

the next step i'd like to take would be to take on a mono/duo FG water killer/farmer :)
i'm a dumb***  i meant ofcourse a water deck for PVP the real fun is in beating other players ofcourse ^_^

well sign me up as an apprentice :) i'm from belgium

well the pendulums are still unupgraded, but is was planning to do them first because the pendulums can also serve if i play another element and need some aether

Deck Help / Re: my first deck. what do you think?

yeah , there are only a few T50 decks that can effectifly stop the t50 fire rush in my oppinion. like an early otuygh or the RoL/Hope (thats a real buzzkill)  also the "faster" developing life decks are annoying. but i think i win about 80%+ of the T50 matches which more then once results in a rare weapon or a pharao or something :) on the other side the AI3 farming got me almost nothing.

i dunno , think i kill T50 quicker with the fire rush deck then the AI3 with the AI3 decks... i make more profit grinding the T50 (cause i win more rare cards which translate in more profit)

the next step i'd like to take would be to take on a mono/duo FG water killer/farmer :)
