Post Your PvP Event Ideas Here / Birthday War!
« on: May 27, 2011, 12:12:46 am »
Birthday War! - Rules
Original idea by: RootRanger   |   Developed by: Spiraler   |   Art by: google images   |   Organized by: *****

Players battle to keep birthday candles on their cake. Players can use candles to upgrade cards. Last one with candles on their cake is the winner.

1. HOW TO SIGN UP?
Anyone with a forum and a chat account can sign up for this event. Start by reading the rules very carefully. Then sign up by posting on a separate sign up topic. If you cannot find a sign up topic, or if it is locked, this event is not currently active, and you will have to wait for it to restart.

Maximum amount of participants for this event is 20. If the event is full, you can still sign up as a reserve player, and will get a chance to join the event if any of the 20 players doesn't show up during round 1.

2. GETTING READY
Build a deck of any size (from 30 to 60 cards).
- You may use any non-upgraded cards in the game.
- You may also use 6 upgraded cards for each candle you spend.
- Number of candles does NOT affect deckbuilding.
- players start out with 20 candles.

3. BRACKETS
This event is a last man standing event. Matchups are randomly decided.

4. DUELS
Players have 4 days to make the fight happen. They must contact their opponent using a PM, and try to find a time that suits both. If the fight doesn't happen, both players lose by default, unless one player is clearly more active in trying to find a suitable time. Event organizer will determine who the most active player was, and his or her word is final.

Matches are best-of-five. The first player who wins 3 individual duels, wins the match.

You are allowed to change your deck (and mark) in between rounds.

It's a good idea to either record the matches, or take screenshots as proof, in case something weird, like a desync error, happens. Remember, a player who gets caught cheating, will be permanently banned from all Elements community PvP events, so please play fair.

5. AFTER DUELS
Winner should reply in the "Battle Results" section, along with the score and a short description of how the match went. The loser loses the difference between the scores in candles. Ex. if the score is 3-1, the loser loses 2 candles. If the score is 3-0, the winner gains one extra candle. If at any time someone's candle count is 0, they are eliminated. Here is an example battle results reply:
Spiraler: 3. Candles spent: 4. Current candle count: 16.
majofa: 1. *Candles spent: 1. Candles lost: 2. *Current candle count: 17.

* info will be received from opponent.

6. WINNER
The last man standing is the winner of the event.

7. REWARDS
The winner of the event will receive the following award icon (or something else)

I think this is an okay deck, but those percentages could be increased. Perhaps an AI5 would be a bit easier, or even a t50.

Music / Re: Music genres.

I'm missing a 'lot' of genres here, mostly the non-instrumental ones, as I see none.

Classical.
Classical is up there.

I would pick
1. Like you Davop, a portal gun
2. Not sure if this is allowed, but the eridion artifact shotgun (unlimited shock ammo) from borderlands.
3. Just because I love it so much, an original, actual, companion cube from portal.

Music / Music genres.
« on: May 25, 2011, 02:03:11 am »
I want to know what music genre is the most popular on the forums. Nothing else. My vote for hybrid is all hybrids of grunge, metal, prog, and rock.

I tried making one, just for what I thought would look like a cool girl. I was trying to make one I would want to take on an action adventure, perhaps an anime show. Nevermind that, here she is.

Elements Chat / Re: banned reasoning

I don't see why this isn't existent. I also think it should also make a little message in the chat saying, for example "Spiral0527 has been banned." I think this would explain sudden disconnection with the chatter.

This seems like a very interesting event. I would be very happy to join it. One thing, what if more than one person picks the same relic spot?
EDIT: what if more than one winner picks the same relic spot?
