Religion / Re: God's Perfection
« on: July 15, 2011, 10:31:26 am »
Ok, so you can probably gather at what I'm going to say here from the title. However, I'm going to ask some questions, get some answers, and then go on.

Here are my questions(these are for those who believe in the God of the Torah/bible):
   1. Do you believe God to be perfect?
   2. Do you believe him to be...for lack of a better term: the physical(spiritual, whatever) embodiment of love?
   3. Do you believe that to be perfect, one must be not selfish?

Tomorrow, or whenever I get a couple of answers, I'll proceed.
1. Maybe.
2. Definitely no, God is the embodiment of justice and law, not love. He does not love sinners and a**holes.
3. Yes, however depends on what constitutes as selfish.

If that is so then why make the thread in the first place?
Because he wanted to.
Or because he wanted to convince you that you shouldn't try to convince him that God doesn't exist.
It was created for the "evangelical atheist" types. If you arent one, then this topic will have nothing to do with you because I am not trying to convert you, but am instead saying that I dont have to prove anything to them, they have to prove something to me. Of course to many this will seem irrelevant, although people who claim religious people in general to be idiots/mislead or otherwise will still have the burden of proof as well.
Lolwut? So you're saying the atheists are trying to convert people to atheism? Oh, wow.

Since its impossible to scientifically prove either God exist or not, what proof are you specifically looking for?

You can say I shouldn't believe in God.
But I won't say that. You believe in whatever you want to believe. I won't force my beliefs on you.

What you don't understand is that the problem arises when you force your beliefs on me, not the other way around. Stop trying to convert us atheists, and we'll be fine.
I am not trying to convince YOU that God exists.

In my opinion, God might exist because:
1. There must be a beginning to everything.
2. While science consistently prove that religions are flawed, e.g. earth as the center of the universe, theory of evolution, etc, it just simply prove that all religions are corrupted by mankind, and doesn't prove that God doesn't exist.

What I know for sure:
Religious institution are total bs. The higher ups are mostly false prophets. Scriptures, like the bible had been to corrupted over time to even take it literally. How can I prove that? Simple, because men are sinful. Think of it this way, there are good individuals, but there are NO good organizations (government, religion, church bodies, etc since they are always get infiltrated by immoral power-hungry abominations).

Most people end up becoming atheist simply because they realize all religions are total crap, however have no way to prove that God doesn't exist.

The Arena / Re: GOOD lasting decks that you took down from the arena.

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink

I forgot to take a screen shot but it was 58-5 and peaked at 25 in platinum. 2 loses came from having low HP on the last day and another was self inflicted.
This looks like a powerful arena deck to me. Considering most people don't bring purify along.
Poison is good IMO when you have hp and draw advantage.

Looks like a fun deck but it seems very situational. No control and draw dependent, but when it works, it feels good.

In short, I like.

Issue Archive / Re: 100 damage, no sound

There should probably be some sort of priority system organizing suggestions. This seems to be fairly low on the food chain.   ._.
Tbh I think hiden is slightly higher in the food chain since its easy to fix (not needing to make new sound effects).

Before Bucky...
The poll doesnt show that peoplen want them banned so that the decks can be more creative, it is made up of people who want to ban them because they make it too hard.
Not really, its not really the difficulty of arena decks. Its just people get bored seeing the AI plays the same QTs, supernovas, and SoGs. Im quite sure the thread started because the OP want to see more creative decks, its just bucky started showing up and act all high and mighty how easy the arena is and saying that there is no need to change anything(with calling people names as extra sauce) and the argument of the difficulty started to show up.  Its the off topicness of his posts (read: flamings) that diverted the argument many times, like "fascism" and "Creative arts" and whatsoever.

I really suggest to read the post history around that "hitler" post.

This thread just shows how tl;dr attitude really screws everything up because alot people just showed up and didn't read everything from the start, or skipping the middle parts.

Ok, while every point could be argued, I just say you don't need 6 fractals because it will give you dead draws.

I'm very sure that you don't need 6 fractals on this deck, 6 fractals in a 30 cards deck is a bad idea.
