Rainbow Decks / The ULTIMATE False God killing deck!!!
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:09:32 pm »

I still find myself with insufficient control and my attack cards get whacked regularly. I don't have the owl's eye (I'm running lobotomizer).

So I started adding creatures to counter that. Forest spirit is working great so far. Since I rarely play the bone shields, usually dissipation + stasis do the jobs, and end up with excess death quanta, so I'm thinking about adding a chrysaora, so I can pump +1 poison damage per turn. It can be played very early and it really adds up.

How often does the gods play purify?
Forest Spirit and Chrysaora were both in the beta version of this deck. I removed them both because they don't help with defense at all. Also Forest Spirit uses green quantum which is bad. Chrysaora on the other hand is pretty weak and dies fast. Mind Flayer is much better imo.

Bone shields are great against Gods who like to remove stuff from you.

At least one God has purify. I think it's Morte.

I already thinking about turning to green my mark or find alternative to queens.
I heard a rummor of scarab spaming factory coming soon. Maybe it will work :)

Changing your mark to green will help a little bit but won't solve the problem. It's only 1 extra green/round just one FFQ spends 2 green/round. And if you have 2 of them plus the Druids and Feral bonds .. I doubt you will have enough.

I'm doing a Scarab factory too :) It doing pretty well against most Gods but some of them like Scorpio seem like impossible to beat because of that damn poison. Actually I might post that deck here so I can get feedback and new ideas.

You are using WAAAAY too much green quantum. You have 3 Fallen Elves, 3 Feral Bond and 2 FFQ's, all of which use massive amounts of green quantum, in a deck that has only 1 third of Quantum Pillars. That's not going to work.

I have 1 Fallen Elf, 2 Feral, and 2 FFQ's and have a higher Quantum Tower ratio and STILL I'm struggling with green quantum.

I have 3 winning cases against him:

1. I have a Mind Flayer early. Simple lobo everything he put.
2. I manage to steal his shield and building my defense from this point.
3. I have sundials early. Speed my draw, and setup combo.

I have more pillars in my deck, so usually I can survive even if he destroying some of them.

Worst gods for this deck are Seism (almost zero results), Scorpio (next to zero), and Rainbow (this guy is cheater).

And yes, my deck is more focused and I prefer not to have in deck only 1 copy of creature/spell. Cause all spells and creatures are
important. This is why I have 6 otyughs in it (I want at least one in the starting hand).
1. You only have 2 of those in your deck. Chances are you won't have them early. And if you do, do you have quantum to pay for them? And if you can pay for them, Graviton might have Elite Otyugh waiting for you (he usually plays them early, I use rain of Fire or my weapon to softem them up before going in).

2. This is what I do. Only problem is that he likes to destroy the shield and then you are done. and even if you have the Shield, Graviton uses Momentum so if Mind Flayers fail, what can you do?

3. Ok, you might have Sundials but can you pay for them? Do you have Time to pay for them and do you have Life to use them? I try to fix this problem with having Time as my mark. You don't have that luxory.

What you list here is the best case scenario. Of course if everything goes perfect for you, you will win. I'm just saying that when the s*** hits the fan, how does your deck survive?

I do not believe your deck would have a better winning percentage than mine simply because you have less early defense, and with decks like ours, early game is what matters the most. Sure your deck might do better against 2-3 False Gods because it's more specialized, but I doubt it would have a better overall performance just because it's specialized and mine is more balanced.

Because mine kill all others better :)
I mean if we both play 200 matches, I win say 150 and you say 145 ;)

My looses will be 20 Seism, 18 Scorpio and 1-2 all others, your will be equally distributed among all gods.

At least, I had this fealing. I will start recording win/loses and post them here later.

I tried your deck for 20-30 matches, and still returned to mine.
Maybe this was just bad luck, or maybe I prefer my playstyle more.
Anyway, no offense meant, this is all subjective thoughts.
Don't worry, I'm not easily offended :)

How do you do against Graviton? He's the most difficult False God imo because he goes crazy from the opening bell, destroying Pillars and doing heavy damage.

When I look at your deck it looks even worse against Graviton than my deck because you have less early defense. I just don't see how you can beat him with as good percentage as you claim.

7794

that's very impressive, all hats off for you sir

if ur 66% rate is real :)
Thanks.

It is real. And this was when I didn't have Improved Miracle. Now that I have it, dealing with some of the Gods like Scorpio is much, much easier. In fact, some Gods like Incarnate and Miracle have become so damn easy, and fighting them so boring, that I just quit at the start and go find a more challenging God like Graviton and Seism :)

Try it yourself. It's much more fun to fight the False Gods when you know that you can potentially defeat any one of them. No need to quit if you get a tough one.

I'm testing it out right now, but I have no monsters!
I am not losing yet, but I would like to be able to hurt him :P
And could I replace the owls eye for something else? like a druidic staff or arsenic or morning star?
This deck is a slow starter. Really slow. Usually during the first half you do not do much damage. Then you can see the balance shift and in the end you are invincible with the whole table full of different nasty characters.

And like I said on that other thread, you can use whatever weapon you have. I find Eagle's Eye works best because it's great for defence (removing the most annoying characters) but others are good too. When I started I used Druidic Staff because that was all I had.

7796

So, how does it do non-upgraded? Im curious.  :o
You will do just fine without any upgrades. That's how I started and I kept owning False Gods as soon as I switched to this deck. Sure it's a little bit easier with upgraded cards but the difference is not huge.

Most of those upgrades are not even needed because they only lower the cost of the card and you have tons of quantums.

Most important upgrades are:
Electrum Hourglass x 4 !!!!!!!!
Elite Otyugh x 2
Ulitharid x 1

Oh and it helps to have those Quantum Pillars upgraded too.

7798

your missing the god "pearly"
Who is that?

I've had over 300 False God battles and it has always been with one of these 11. I've never seen this "Pearly" you speak of. Is there some kind of condition for him/her to appear? Like minimum score or something?

7799

there is a colossal dragon there??

Whats it use?
I don't have that card in my deck. Chaos Lord used his evil mutant techniques against me.

7800

if that is no fake, i'm VERY curious about it. ;-)
It's not fake. Those are real screenshots I took yesterday and today.

But that win/loss ration I have no way of proving so I guess you just have to take my word for it. You can try it yourself once I start the other thread where I show my deck in detail.
