I don't understand why the qualifier, "without an ability," is on this card. Momentum is not an ability, so why should it only be applied to creatures without abilities?
Agreed.  I think that it should be all creatures, but make the cost 12 :gravity, just like massive dragons.  Maybe even more.  Then it'd be fairly balanced, since one could still CC the card on the turn it came out, unless it was quinted or something

Deck Help / Re: Improvements to my 30 card rainbow
« on: April 29, 2010, 01:30:09 pm »
The reason that SG's deck is 40 cards is because you use your hourglasses to draw through everything to have it all on the board as fast as possible.  I don't think you need 3 hourglasses or even 2 in this deck, as it will only increase the chance you deck out with such a small deck.

-2 or -1 hourglasses +1 bond or +1 quintessence.  Maybe even a permafrost shield

Random, Normal and Elder / Re: AI 3 with Nymphs?

Why did you just Necropost?
Why did you just post to post.  I wanted to let other readers know that because of the mechanic Zanz implemented into the game, any time you would win a "nymph" card, it will actually register as instead of the rare card, which insures that nobody will put up mark farms or nymph farms.  Therefore winning nymphs off of the slots is impossible

Del already handled this, but I would like to add that when Zanz released nymphs, he purposely designed them to be incredibly rare.  That meant that they would never be available off of reel spins (or ... until someone gets six of one kind.. lol, which could take years).  (just kidding, since relics pop up instead of nymphs on the reels)

Anyways they were most likely mutants :P since I see a lot of those these days

Have you found that any CC (Oty, EE, Congeal + Shockwave) have given you trouble?  I like the deck, but with limited defenses against creature control, I'm curious to how you deal with it.

Given that you are a mono  :time, you can always rewind your pharaohs if they're ever in danger, which is nice, but it still slows you down considerably on scarab generation.

Just my thoughts, but a good looking deck!  40 cards is fine since you've included 3 Electrum Hourglasses and 2 Precogs, which essentially makes this a 38 card deck

I like this.  The balance of bonds and heals will probably end up yielding more EMs than just straight up bonds or straight up heals.  Druidic staff also ensures that you will EM more often than just an 12-6-6-6 deck too (12 Tower, 6 Cockatrice, 6 Giant Frog, 6 Heal).

Good work!

Rainbow Decks / Re: my the best rainbow deck ..

ps. i reread more carefully a despicable handbag fight in this thread .. it definitely seems like some local forum stars are touched in theirs manhood .. so stop be ashamed, stop acting like intolerant nazi ..

i could/can/would/will say my opinions and pass my experiences .. although on internet is not a big democracy ..

@yaladilae :: i agree, that if someone always do and always did something wrong and adopts it as *only-right-way, he cannot change his mind so easily, but anyway, he shouldn't forgot that ::

.. sorry ;)
Man, you don't need to curse to emphasize that your deck is good -___-

I like it.  Although I'm not a huge fan of larger rainbows, if it works for you, then it's good.  I would say that even when there are several "standard" variants to FG rainbows, almost everyone puts in their own tweaks (adding or subtracting one card, maybe throwing in a PA ...etc.), so tbh, if you like the deck, and it works for you, keep on trekking :) (just remember that everyone has their own favorite decks haha)

Archived Decks / Bishonen's Mono-Fire False God Deck
« on: April 28, 2010, 12:14:05 pm »
For those of you in the chat yesterday, we were blessed with having both Bishonen and Jallen talking about how well their decks were doing in grinding false gods  :P.  Anyways, at first, I was quick to scold Bishonen in saying that his mono-fire deck was not strong at grinding false gods, nor did he deserve to boast about it if he skipped certain gods.

I tried it out in the trainer, and surprisingly, I went 50/50 in 10 matches (of which gods I am unsure).  Honestly I think it needs more testing, and permanent controlling gods wreck this, but it's a nice break from grinding with rainbow all the time.

Here's his deck

Duo-Decks / Re: Lance-a-lot-Charge (Lance-deck reloaded)

I don't understand how ball lightning fractal makes a completely different deck 'obsolete.'  Although it might be faster on some occasions, in order to kill with ball lightning you need what... 100/5 = 20 Ball Lightnings?  So that means that you need to drop ~3-5 on the table, fractal with very little in hand, and then do it again, but you leave your opponent a small gap to heal if you cannot get the combination perfect.  Also, Ball Lightning against shields that reduce damage kind of nullify that deck Lani

P.S.  Didn't see your comment about the shield hate of this deck beforehand- must have just been posted

False Gods / Re: Discussion on making a better Anti-FG deck

As I suspected, you were using a set of gravity nymphs for renewal, heh.   What happens when your nymphs get killed?  Maybe use supernovas to access quintessence then?

This would be the perfect place for this then. Recently I've been messing around with a quantum denial strat (yes, I'm insane) revolving around with Dischord/Gravity Nymph right now, and I've found that the quantum denial is massive enough to cripple an FG and keep you alive. My main problems being a) It's way too slow. Even when I DO get what I need on the table the FG usually has a few things that can either kill me outright or mess with my Nymphs b) it's hard finding a good finisher for Entropy/Gravity duo. :/

Problem a has all sorts of answers. Most of them require splashing into Aether, which would be cool if I wasn't so Gravity intensive. I'd just make it Aether/Grav, but the Dischords are what make the whole thing work, so I'm stumped.

Problem b is unworkable without some kind of splash, or an obscene amount of Chargers. D:

So am I just chasing clouds here? Or is it possible? Thoughts?
Are you flying your discords?  Or are you just running one discord for the entire deck?
I would also like to know how many Gravity Nymphs you happen to have?

I would love to see Hope incorporated into a realistic FG strategy.   :water Nymph's Tears +  :aether Pillars  :aether Fractal +  :light Hope?  Would that be enough ?  And you would need phase shields to stall right...  Along with miracle perhaps.
