mAx was feeling giddy pretending to sleep as he heard Zanthos retell the events of the experiment.

I knew I was going to weaken while absorbing Heimdall's spell damage. What was surprising was that I knew exactly how long the shield would last. I felt it. I never realized that a spell could be... calibrated. It seems that the absorptive capacity of the shield is directly related to the :entropy quanta I can muster. Now if I can invoke enough entropic energy, I can keep maintaining the shield without falling unconscious. Of course, the destroy spell has worked perfectly as always. Destruction has been the easiest lesson in Chaos 101. But, it remains to be the hardest skill to master and control.

Now we're off to a new adventure. I need an entropic staff to collect and focus the necessary :entropy for my spells.

MaX kept his eyes closed and dozed off a few moments more to enjoy the calm before the storm.

OOC: I have no intention to make Zanthos the love interest of MAx. It's just a nice dynamic to play with, helpful and a little bit hostile.

[OOC]
It felt like a silent scream of an unborn child...
I'm both amazed and disturbed by that.
OOC: Yes, it is meant to be disturbing. But then, I also wanted to reference the baby being born as Heimdall is becoming/born into his master status.

He then dumped MaX unceremoniously on top of Heimdall
OOC: I'm liking Zanthos more and more after each post.   :P

From hearing nothing to the loudest thunderclap he's ever heard, Zanthos would understand if his natural instincts wanted to jump, run and hide. In his healing trance, however, he only saw the events with detachment.

First, was the crackling of energy from Heimdall flashing towards the demon. Then the pink geometrix siphoned the electric bolt and concentrated the energy into maX's eyes like sunlight through a magnifying lens. In the next instance, a flash of bright white light exploded from the general area of the boulder. What happened next felt like a nightmare you couldn't wake up from.

He knew there was a big explosion, he just couldn't remember hearing it. It felt like a silent scream of an unborn child as Heimdall fell back like a felled tree cut with the sharpest ax. Then, it seemed like the hottest hailstorm was upon them. Zanthos realized it was only the debris from the boulder and dared to look in maX's direction. THe beast was gone, but lying on the ground was a crumpled mass with brown clothing. "Maaax!" Zanthos leapt towards his elven brother and looked for signs of life.

OOC: Okay, so Zanthos now has 2 unconscious masters in his hands. Icy, I'll let you finish this bit.

:darkness :darkness :darkness [ LYCANTHROPY ]

MAX changed into a full-sized Maxwell's Demon with fully outstretched butterfly wings. On all fours, the creature hunkered down and lowered it's head. max opened all senses into the entropic chambers of the Void and focused on the boulder half a mile from his position.

:entropy :entropy :entropy [ Dissipation Shield ]

Now, Ulitharid. Right here. Directly in front of him, a pale pink glow formed geometric patterns that seemed to want to spark but couldn't. Instead, they hummed without sound. In fact, it felt like they were absorbing the sounds coming from everywhere.

Zanthos felt deaf standing two strides away to MaX's left. Muttering to himself, "and IT wants me to take care of it? I'm 6 feet 2 inches and I feel puny." Zanthos stood with his feet shoulder-width apart, settled into a meditative stance and gathered the life energy from the living creatures in the surrounding areas. Ferox help us. He gave the nod to Heimdall.

"Ready when you are."

"REadY."

CURATOR COMMENT
- When a creature is devoured it is destroyed Outright and does not have its HP reduced to 0

- It would be rather complex to setup the check values on death. Could the ability posibly trigger a DejaVu after it has taken any damage? Ie the Worm is in play and you cast rain of fire. The Worm takes 3 damage becoming 1|1 then DejaVu. Like DejaVu it takes any traits with it. Could also work with Thunderstorm. The 1|4 worm gets hit by the storm and beocmes 2x 1|3 creatures , Another storm makes 4x 1|2 creatures, another storm makes 8x 1|1 creatures. Same against Fire Buckler or Spine Carapace etc. Easier to code too.
WOW! A curator comment!!! Cool. The Deja Vu trigger works perfectly. I'm always for better coding.

When a creature is devoured: I imagined the worm to behave like a Phoenix when it is devoured. Phoenix becomes Ash and Worm Deja Vu's

It works for me.

Throwing a bunch of other cards to change the entire strategy is no longer a tweak because it changes the entire deck. Anyway, thanks for pulling me out from ai5 farming.  ;)

Outdoor experimentation! The thought brought goosebumps throughout MaX's forearms and prickles at the back of his neck. He suddenly missed his old laboratory closet that he used to really hate until he became addicted to entropic magic. Now, he wasn't sure if he was feeling the withdrawal symptoms or he was simply excited to take part in this important development of his new friend's powers.

I can feel his power grow in bursts from the first time I felt him battling with that odious elite.

"Hey, Heimdall. If you'll allow a double experiment I'd like to try the latest 'lesson' my not-so-dearly departed ex-druid taught me. A Dissipation Shield spell. You could direct your thunderbolt at my shield. I just need probably a bit of healing support... Zanthos? Would you be kind enough to take care of me in case I fall for you... I mean fall over because of the strain. I'm not sure how much power the shield can bear, but I've learned to redirect it."

"Just... don't lay any more of your chaotic magic  on me, okay? I'll cover your back."

"I also need maybe a big boulder I can redirect the energies to."

"Oh. My. False God." max mouthed without a sound.  :o

"Quintessence!" Zanthos exclaimed with wide eyes.  :o

OOC: I'm "phasing out" as well... be back in half a day or so.
