Hermes / Re: Oracle : Hermes

Thanks for the deck! Almost EM'd him. Got a card instead! woohoo!!!

Code: [Select]
592 592 61r 61r 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rq 77i 77i 77i 77i 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 80b 80b 80b 80b 80d 80d 80d 80d 80d 80d
I used a slightly different version of this: no quintessence (it's more trouble than it's worth) and 3 SoG. For Explosion bait. I used a mostly upped deck, though...

Elements updates have proven to be really great in balancing the field and creating more space to improve card and element combos.

T500 ftw!!! GREAT idea if there ever was one.

Here's my version with a 50% (15-15) win rate.
Code: [Select]
5rt 5rt 5rt 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u7 6u7 74a 74a 74a 77f 77i 7gp 7gp 7q8 7q9 7q9 7q9 80j
1. Lances and Siphons are a big concern, Jade Shield should be considered.
2. Changed a Pulvy to an Eternity; deckout issues.
3. All 3 scorps OR all 3 unstoppables sometimes stay at the last 6 cards!!!
4. Most losses are rushes where I can't play an early shield.

I was using a mindgate deck for fun against FGs, Top50 and in PvP. UNTIL losing 3 miserable times to a dune scorp deck in Top50 and PvP. I was like  :o  o_O  I need to use this!!!

And, now I do. Thanks MrSexington.

Here's my test log. 1: win, 0: loss, *: deck edit
1 - neptune, antimatter dragons, ice shield
0 - incarnate, 1st scorp appeared last 6 turns, last 2 cards were scorpions!!!
0 - elidnis, scorp out 2nd round, late pulvy, late antimatter

Thank you for this. It's fun and exciting. Removes the predictability of most decks. :)

OOC: I've read about 60% of previous posts before I came in and it was clear that since there was no DM or moderator, Bloodshadow dominates the ideas and whenever somebody disagrees, he refuses to budge most of the time until the discussion dies and the Bloodshadow lore stays. Blood, it is obvious that you are very protective of your own ideas. You have good ideas as any given the effort you put in. But what you are doing is being player and DM at the same time, which leaves little room for the other players' imagination. You might as well just write a book or series.

InC:

Okay, Tinkerbell time... maX took a long deep breath and sank his claws into the Elite's cloak fabric. The fabric wouldn't tear so he let Dex fasten his legs to Veneficus shoulder... as Dexter was uncoiling, MaX had a brilliant idea! He shrank the Forest Spectre into a chain sized vine and made himself into a pendant dangling on Veneficus neck.

"Pink on Black. Not bad." Veneficus thin lips curled up in a sneer but could do nothing for he was preparing his own spell.

As max's breathing evened out, his multi-faceted insect eyes started to glow. His breaths grew thinner and longer until it seemed that he wasn't breathing at all. Suddenly, without warning, his whole body glowed with a sparkling radiance that didn't spread outward, but inward. When the light covered his entire body, the insectile form turned into an amethyst pebble that didn't have a stable form, more fluid than solid but remained on the vampire's neck.

What's this? An echoing voice could be heard from all directions. Am I still... alive? MAX turned into pure Chaotic Force contained only by his consciousness.

I. AM. ENTROPY.

OOC: I'll agree to disagree with the FG vs. Masters debacle. Since we're playing under Bloodshadow's lore, there's not much to discuss. MaX will remain a source of light amusement, however his universe works.

InC: MaX felt very light headed and defensively turned into an insectile demon landing on the Elite Vampire's shoulders siphoning off his natural darkness into usable entropy. Laser vision on, a very thin pink light sabre slashing through the mist. "Come out, come out wherever you are...." He thought he heard chimes, might just be his overproductive imagination.

Ah, yes. But we do not know that right now, do we?  I mean, nobody even remembers the Void, not even the FGs. None of the FGs remember why they were created, because it was such a long time ago. Chaos Lord only remembered it the instant before he died. Right now, we do not know why we shouldn't kill FGs.
Good point. Then, I recommend that there should be another level above where we all are now. Say, Keeper of the Element. Masters, are mortals who have achieved the highest ranks among their respective populace. As the masters grow in power and wisdom, the pinnacle is "becoming" the Keeper. That's when you become in communion and communication directly with Zanzarino. Possibly, Sekhor is in the brink of becoming Keeper if only he would let go of his "human"-ness.

In my mind, Zanzarino is like Zeus and the FGs are his world-bound pantheon of manager-gods designed to oversee different aspects of his world and not strictly bound by element. Masters and Keepers emerged organically from elements themselves because they were needed then, as they are needed now. Every FG is an aspect of Zanz, the sum of FGs = Zanz. So, if all the FGs die and become the FO, it will be like an anti-Zanz. I'm thinking, the FO emerges with a few surviving FGs, so it is technically an incomplete anti-Zanz.

The final battle being the sub-FO vs. Masters + last surviving FGs, maybe some HBs.

If we, the masters, are The Element itself then we should be more neutral and less participative (and disruptive) with the world at large. It just doesn't feel right. In the case of battling the Overgod, I think it would be a good alternative to have FG and HB allies rather than play super-super-super powerful masters.

Back to back to back with the Ulitharid and the Vampire, MaX tried to even out his breathing. Dex was wrapped around his torso. Slowly, the Forest Spectre collected the excess :darkness exuding from Veneficus and were discreetly transforming them into :entropy for MaX.

We might need that shield. I sense something... big.

OOC: Yeah, I think FG's are still above Masters. False Gods whether mono or multi-elementalists have supernatural powers beyond the regular elemental magic. Just to illustrate, based on the game this RPG came from, FGs cheat, produce more quanta per turn, can draw more cards per turn, have more than 6 cards of a kind and have more cards in their decks. Masters are still players who still follow rules and have reached their pinnacle of elemental skill. I think eventually if a master is strong enough and specializes into a certain kind of stategy using specific abilities/magics/skills they can become a False God dominating a section of the world and should technically be immortal.
