Deck Help / Re: Optimizing Arena-Grinding Graboid/Rainbow Deck.
« on: August 06, 2011, 12:58:02 am »
Thanks for those tips.

I'm constantly tweaking this deck here and there to try and get it to work with as high a win-rate as possible. I dipped into my SoG savings to upgrade my Graboids, threw in a few upped cards I somehow had lying around, and came up with this:

Deck Help / Re: Grab-some-Otys: Earth-Gravity Bronze Farmer.

I've used a Graboid Rainbow with a similar idea. It had some success, but I was looking for something more effective. Unfortunately, this version is really nothing new. The Warden is a nice addition; I'll experiment with him more.

The Graboid/GotP deck is ok, but I always seem to draw earthquake so early that I don't have the quanta to play them, so late my opponent already had all he needs out, or playing EQ instead of my graboids which ultimately slows me down, and I still end up losing. And it doesn't really do anything against Immo and x2 Mark decks. I even tried adding a Turtle shield to slow them down, but didn't manage to get to the special spin.

I don't know, probably it's just me. Right now it seems like winning five more SoGs will take so long that I'll end up fully upping a Gold/Platinum Arena deck from selling just the Dim. Shields that I win =/

As pointed out, Stone Skin isn't getting you EMs. 1 Weapon, 17 Pillars, 6 Graboids, 6 Shriekers is the generic Mono-Earth AI3 grinder. You CAN throw in a couple of BBs or whatever to help your chances, but most people agree: just rush with monsters.

Buff This Card! / Re: Fate Egg | Fate Egg

Mutants could be really fun. Fractal 'em for all kinds of combinations. Scrambled eggs, anyone?

I voted on 2 summon cost, but that was before the mutant option  :P

Deck Help / Grab-some-Otys: Earth-Gravity Bronze Farmer.

Grabbix isn't working for me anymore, and I noticed the reason was the lack of CC/PC. Maybe I'm not using it right, or I'm impatient, or something. So I looked to making a new deck with strong PC and CC to farm for my precioussss SoGs:

Main damage from Graboids/Shriekers, boosted with Unstoppable if necessary. 2 Elite Otys for some CC, and Pulvy for some PC. The rest are mainly fillers: Gravity Shield has some synergy with Otys, as in if they're under 5HP, Oty eats them, if they're over 5HP, they can't reach me, and if they're at 5HP, I break down and cry. Protect Artifact to keep hands off my Pulvy. Overdrive for when an Oty gets fat and needs to finish the game quickly. Charger has nice momentum, but I think would be much more amazing upped.

Also considering Turtle Shield, since I have it upped, over Gravity Shield, and I'll probably go for it considering the biggest threats are under 5HPs. Maybe throw in another Enchant Artifact.

I know it might be slow, but I find for some reason that even bronze is a little challenging. Perhaps my expectations are misguided.

Thoughts?

Would this work with SoGs, CPs, and Hourglasses, and the rest unupped? Or would it lack the quanta to stall safely?

Introduce Yourself / Hell-o from Nemo!
« on: August 05, 2011, 07:41:44 am »
Hello Elements Community!

I'd like to officially introduce myself. I'm Nemo (SirNemo in-game), and I've recently revisited Elements. I like how it's casual and yet entertaining, and it has captivated me once again. I played Elements under a different name about a year ago, and I'm in love with it now as much as I was then. I'm still starting out from scratch, but I hope I can contribute something in the near future.

The name is not based on the clownfish, but on Nemo (
&ob=av3n), a song by the band Nightwish.

See you around!

Deck Help / TheoryCraft: Neurotoxin FG farmer (Time-Light/Time-Aether)
« on: August 04, 2011, 10:34:01 pm »
I've recently had an idea for an FG Farming deck.
Basically, it abuses the AI's access to a large quantum pool and huge decks to punish them with an early Neurotoxin (early as possible), and then follow up with a strong stall.

I haven't been able to get on the trainer to test this, but I will as soon as I can. Any insight in the meantime would be helpful. This is my first FG deck, and I'm sure it needs a lot of streamlining (or scrapping).

The main components of the decks are the Dune Scorpions (DS), a buff to allow them to attack, and finally as much reliable stall as possible.

Uses Blessing to power the DS, and Sanctuaries combined with Procrastination to stall. Hourglasses help get some basic survival up as soon as possible. Sundial is a cheap, 1-turn stall, as well as Light-Quanta Hourglass. Miracle for emergencies and end-game, Reverse Time for some CC, and Eternity to prevent possible deck-outs.

Aether doesn't have an attack buff, so Momentum powers the DS (which also allows them to pass through the occasional shield), and uses the common Dimensional Shield stall to let the poison take effect. Lobotomiser offers good CC. The rest is explained above. There is the issue of getting the gravity quanta to play Momentum.

SoGs, if available, can also benefit this deck greatly.

Deck Help / Re: Arena deck for Fireflies (Level 9)
« on: August 04, 2011, 09:55:51 pm »
If you'd invest in x2 Mark Power, I think you can slash the wind pillars and dragonflies. You'd need Lv. 10 at least, which isn't too hard if you can grind a little at AI 3.

Remove Solar Shield and Holy Lights, put in a couple dragons, one or two more Blessing, maybe another Sactuary, and maybe a few light pillars if you need them. The best way to find out is to try your deck in the Arena practice and see how it does.

I've been using this deck to some success to grind for a few more SoGs in Bronze. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions to making it more successful or faster. I know I probably pumped too much into CC, but I'm really worried about stuff like Lava Golems, Crimson Dragons, ect. from Fire Rushes/Stalls, and the occasional Oty.

It looks funny how I just threw in random upped cards, but I'm just trying to make the most of what FGs gave me.

Any suggestions?

Deck Help / Re: Help with Liquid Antimatter
« on: August 03, 2011, 09:48:48 pm »
This is just me, but I don't see a point in upgrading Liquid Antimatter. You'd be better off saving for a deck that will improve significantly with upgrades.

What you have right there is as good as it will get. Your problem might be a lack of expertise in the use of this deck, or generally bad luck. You should have a decent record against Destiny, though it requires some luck, and a little misjudgment from the AI to not mutate your Anti-mattered creatures. Gemini is not impossible either, if she plays Massive Dragons fairly early, and you manage to LS-AM them, as well as AMing Momentumed spiders, and getting your dusk shields out early. Hecate is doable if he doesn't get his Vamp Dagger out early, and manages to get a Voodoo Doll Raged in time for you to quickly throw in LS-AM. Hermes is also doable if you get a few good hands, and don't get overwhelmed. Most decks have problems with Hermes.

Six FGs is not very bad for a fully unupped, simple deck like LS-AM. You can try to throw in a Vampire Dagger, though I've never done it.
