To be honest, I'd prefer a simple poison buff instead of anything more complicated.  The 0 ATK is what makes this card, why change it?
I agree.  The added poison buff would help offset the need for another element to simply get the bloody card to work.  Even if it were something like alternating 2 and 3 poisons each attack would help.
You could even make the card read: "Add 2 or 3 poison damage to each successful attack."

And the amount of poison would be random: 50% 2 poison & 50% 3 poison.

This deck is WEAK against pulverizer and/or butterfly effect (if cast early and you are land deprived).
I agree.

I had a version where I had both 2x Steal and 2x Explosion and I think I like that version a little better than the one that's posted right now.

General Discussion / Re: Bad Combo - Steam/Adrenaline

Found that out the hard way. If you have green nymph or andrenaline, do not use on Steam... or at least if you do wait until he is a hulking beast that cannot be stopped. I cast on 4/8 steam and learned the end of turn removal works the same way poison does when the creature has multiple attacks. End result, a very weak Steam.
Actually... it's a good combo for a counter against one.

Fiddled around with this in the trainer.  I'll admit it's pretty overpowered, significantly less than cards like fractal, but still deserving of a nerf.  And I'm guessing the ability to choose which card you have to discard is too difficult to program.

It think it'd be much more balanced if it came into play with -1 attack power.  Momentum isn't enough to make it attack, and blessing and the scorpion can be blocked by most shields.
So you're saying you want me to make an Entropy/Time deck with Antimatter, Chaos Power, and Dune Scorpions?

Hm... you wouldn't even have to focus on the scorpions.  They would just be there to supplement the rest of the deck.  Even just a pair of them in a 30 card deck would be nice.

General Discussion / Re: AI Change

AI changed with latest update.

Now spells are more random. Miracle is casted whenever and AoEs can happen when there are 2 creatures
Is that why it now casts Antimatters (and uses purple nymph's ability) on the Aflatoxin cancer spawn that I've donated to his army?

I think the AI is confused.

::3 Months Ago::

hahaha i read the first page and can't wait to make some kind of version of this deck absolutely for fun. i've got my rainbow fully upped and halfway done with my fractal / RoL deck but this one is for sure going to take some priority. i probably have about 15 or so of the cards i need i can't wait to frustrate some kids into quitting!
::Yesterday::

I need to release my conflicting feelings of admiration and extreme hate for you, Mrsexington. I've had many a lol-time playing rage quit decks, but since you introduced this , they've popped up everywhere and i have to steer clear of pvp2 now to avoid being embarassed by one. I usually just make players desync (ie i time out) when i see what they're playing and exploit the bad AI for the win. But still, you make me feel like i have to cheat! damn you!

I apologize and/or you're welcome...?

(Ah, another satisfied customer.)

Uhhh, actually, this seems pretty balanced.

I mean, you say this card is affecting your hand which is a safe zone, but think about it.  Not ONLY do you get to choose which card you discard, but if you can drop all of your cards fast enough, you don't have to discard anything at all.  And it's not like these are difficult to kill.  I think this is an excellent way to counter stall decks or OHKO decks, while giving a time rush deck a nice boost.

BEFORE you all accuse this of being OP, I ask that we see this card work in the trainer.  Depending upon when you have to discard the card, this might actually be very easy to work around.  If the discarding takes place at the end of your turn, then there's no way to be caught off guard by it.  And even if it happens at the end of their turn, then the only time it can trick you is the turn it's played.

And Blood, who said your hand was safe?  Last I checked, time was shoving expensive dragons in there and refusing to let you pay for them.
I wrote this in another thread a while ago when someone else brought up discarding cards into Elements.  I was against it.

One of the things I like about Elements are the many things that separate it from Magic: The Gathering.  One of the things you can do it Elements that you can't do in MTG is make crazy 1-Turn Kill decks.  These decks require the ability to sit back, stall, and wait until they gobble up all the cards they need until they can pull of their combo.

I guess these decks still work because... based on all the games you'll ever play, what percentage of them will have the scorpion?

But if this is just the first discard card in a long line of discard cards to come, this might be the beginning of the end for 1-Turn Kill decks.  (And one more step towards MTG.  Now all we need now are counter spells. ^_^)

Suggestion - Instead of poisoning, it should read:

Neurotoxin:
Discard 1 card upon successful attack.
Cause discard if ingested.

Maybe?  I guess it's not the player who's doing the ingesting.  But it makes sense (to me).

Alright, Zanz has said in chat that it's definitely getting a cost raise due to Fractal.
I think it would be okay to leave the cost the same, but reduce the Attack down to 1.  That means that any shield that blocks damage would be able to prevent the poison (even an army of scorpions).

Doesn't quite look like a Mono Fire you played. Unless, of course, Time is now a sub-element of Fire.
Er... that was 2 days ago... it felt like Mono Fire.

I s'pose I need to post a story whenever I make a change (if I want to keep with tradition):

It was a dark and stormy night and I was dueling Lord Loco for what must have been 30+ turns.  By this time in the duel, I knew how cool I was, he agreed with the level of my coolness, and we were both just waiting out the inevitable.  (With cremations, Fire dragons, Phoenixes and burn, he actually almost out rushed me, but my life gain finally turned the corner.)

--Anyway;

It looked like he (the bad guy) had one final evil plan for success and he was about to unleash it on me (the good guy).

He waited until his deck read "zero" and I clenched my butt cheeks anticipating the worst.

He made his move and laughed in my face.

His move backfired and I laughed back.

(I s'pose he just didn't want me to get an Elemental Mastery.)

(I s'pose he was wrong.)

 :))

EDIT:

I s'pose I should point out the the only reason I stayed long enough for the life gain to kick in was due to a Protected Spine Carapace.  I later switched it for the Mirror Shield because he was playing Mono Fire... and... well... that's what you do against Mono Fire.  (The battle was too long.  I cut out all of the beginning.)

(I "s'pose" a lot of things.)

Why not try a variation with an eternity and a photon?
Someone else suggested this earlier (like on page 2 or 3).

I don't include it because it doesn't do anything for the deck.  Well... almost nothing.

The only thing it would help with is against people also running 60 card decks.  But those people are usually running Hourglasses of their own and you just watch their deck size and make sure you don't out draw them before they figure out what's up.  (This usually happens 7-8 turns into the game.)

And if they have an Eternity (w/ Protect Artifact) there's nothing you can do about it.  If you had one of your own, nothing would happen.  The game would just last forever.  So the options are to either include one and have no one ever win... ever.  Or not include Eternity/Photon and free up 2 more card slots.

(It's also Time heavy and takes up the weapon slot and all that other stuff, but mostly because it does nothing to help you win... it just makes you both not lose.)

But...

I'm liking this Spine Carapace.  It's just... awesome.

-1 Jade Shield
+1 Spine Carapace

It's one less card to defend against direct damage but... whatever.  It was made for this deck.

edit: With 2x Spine Carapace I'm removing Mono Aether from "Known Weaknesses."
