Hey I like this card, and voted in all the polls just now to further help you all out. :)

I think resistance to it's current cost is because of how effective it is against a Fractal deck, fractal being a very popular card and therefore there is a lot of interest in not changing anything around that card.

I think making it a cheap shield would be a good idea. Maybe cost 2/1 for normal/upgraded. Then instead of stacking with Procrastination, its just a shield you can play earlier, where it is most useful anyway.

While I like Drobbit's suggestion, I think that is an idea that warrants it's own card.

Yeah! I dont think thats broken though, I mean its not terribly different from packing Antimatter, at least then the enemy creatures heal you. Even worse, they attack your own, so quintessence or immortal creatures become a requirement. I think that is just an interesting tactic, but not a huge game changer.

Alright, I dropped the idea they can take out immortal creatures. I also decided on another minor element. I don't like it because it makes the card more complex, but I think it really adds to the card rather than make it obtuse.

Thanks for the input. :D

Perhaps "Divides all creatures current health in half, unless it is already less than half." is a better wording, since the word "healed" seems to throw people for a loop.

I like this idea, and I think lightning is fine. I think it ought to have lower health, to make it an easier target of creature control. I think 2 | 2 and 2 | 3 for normal and upgraded respectively.

EDIT: Also, maybe make the upgraded need 5 or 6 :life? Unlimited Lightnings run off the mark ought to have a higher initial cost I think.

I like this card, but I got a little disappointed when I went to test it and found the ability wasn't target-able. I had fevered dreams of targeting phoenixes and generating ash piles. :)

Duel implies something gentlemanly, like a chivalrous duel. I just connected knightly chivalry with Light, since Light is sort of associated with heavenly bodies, as was honor and chivalry.

And mechanically Light doesn't have much in the way of direct creature control, and I thought a dueling creature would be a neat way for it to get a bit. I changed it to a spell to make it more interesting, now its up to the owner to decide which creature to sacrifice for creature control, how powerful it is versus how much damage you need versus your opponent. It's also random so you must weigh the benefits against the fact that it might not kill the creature that most threatens you.

A gut-check says it would be too slow of a tactic. And I trust my gut, I passed a physics exam once on pure gut checks.

But it could be a result of a bias towards cards that are more immediately useful. I prefer rushing to stall control decks :D

The upped one isn't much of an upgrade. It doesn't get more of a bonus than the normal version, and its special ability generated less of a bonus for itself (Although Elite Skeletons are more powerful) The special ability looks of limited use as well. You would only want to get rid of a Bone/Ivory Dragon is when it is about the die. You gain 8 damage with the unupped while losing 10. With the Upgrade, you gain 9 damage and lose 11. The only point where that is useful is if the dragon is about to die anyway. You would need a Bone yard to get the sacrifice to even equal the loss of the dragon.

I think a different special ability is in order for it. Perhaps something that increases the effectiveness of it's creature control abilities.

Maybe an ability that multiplies the poison counters on a creature by 2? Speeding up the accumulation of poison greatly.

Maybe an ability that deals the poison damage now instead of during the opponents turn? Since the best CC is about killing important creatures NOW instead of later.

If you still want another Death Effect activator, maybe a passive ability that triggers death effects whenever the opponent player is damaged?

If you still want to sacrifice, maybe sacrifice a skeleton to increase health? Basically drain attack power to increase health.

I love your set. I hope it goes far. :D

But then I think it becomes too good! :D
Then you get a hit squad that not only shuts down your opponents creature cards, but then is able to add its damage to your total attack.

Which would put this card at a much higher cost, I think. I've sort of avoided suggesting high cost cards, but I suppose this is a good candidate for one.
