So Air is going to be the insta-kill element?

Perfectly fair relating to freeze/momentum.
While freeze benefits you(you can wait) this is to oppose all those chargers, and make Wings more useful against Gravity.
And those voodoo dolls.

I also agree that this card costs to little. It can splash into a couple of decks too leniently.
Basic version benefits you if you don't damage player.

Armagio is what I'm thinking of pair with this card. Gravity Pull, Acceleration and such makes good  :darkness :gravity synergy as you said.
Other cards; the darkness alchemy spell/gargoyle

Drain life doubles your gain, and is especially helpful for Gargoyle (You wouldn't want to hurt Armagio)

I'm just wondering, if you you a rain of fire, how much do you heal by? And what if the opponent holy light/Arch Angels or in general heals monsters?

I like the concept, but permanent bury? Wouldn't it be nice if your opponent can unbury with garboid. Plus, this gives a reason to run trident and indirectly; flooding.

For some reason I like it more if it was more costly, like Anubis, because that is some serious ability there. You can virtually negate damage from monsters excluding Dagons with a Diamond Shield and this card, having the damage output without it.  The low cost also means it will seriously dent rush decks, which I like, but the skill seems about as powerful as Arctic Squid.
For the quanta gain, that's a pretty self sufficient card. Unlike Anubis, Catfish can use it ability, if only once. Combine it with a low cost, and this can hit the field nicely.

What would this bury do to growth cards? Does the bury work after it?

With the low cost, nightmare would be very efficient here. Any cards your opponent uses afterwards that doesn't kill Prion will be replaced.

Similar cases:
Virus - If virus can be brought out you can activate the skill.
Skeleton - practically the same without extra sacrifice effect.

So in my opinon, it is in-between in the UP catagory.

Blessing works well with this card. So does Acceleration.
Unstable Gas is best with this card, and then they'll be a fire/air/death builds(+Nova). In fact, one death/fire mark can supply most of this deck.
If the opponent is unfortunate enough to get out a Fire shield, well forget boiling your water now.

At 3|3, Ice bolt
At 4|4, Owl's eye
At 6|6, Rage Potion
At 11|11, Holy Light

And for the near impossible, a immortal gravity pulled 25|25 Colony. Have fun.

That all I have. All seem to be situational,

A couple of technical details to ask;
are both abilities active?
is healing, takes place after damage? If Ice bolt freezes it will it still gain stats?
How would Liquid Shadow work?
