Humor / Re: The Trick Question Thread (Elements version)

Wow. Checked my math and it turns out I was wrong too.

I must've missed something in my addition last time. I did it again and got seventy-seven, not sixty-two. Someone should probably check the numbers in the full breakdown below.

Start with 23 golden nymphs and 16 golden hourglasses on the field and 8 aether towers in hand. Assume enough quanta for every card played (except aether).

Play 8 aether towers. (more than 8 quanta already in pool at this point though)
Use nymphs to draw 1 fractal, 1 pandemonium (unupped), and 1 brimstone eater (BE means this, not butterfly effect).
Use panda to rewind 3 used nymphs, play 1 BE and fractal it.
Play 2 more BE's.
Use nymphs to draw 9 aether towers (played as drawn) and 1 fractal and 1 panda.
Use panda to rewind 11 more used nymphs as well as the 3 BE's on board.
Play remaining 6 BE's from hand and fractal one.
Play 7 BE's (keep one in hand).
Use nymphs to draw 5 aether towers (played as drawn), 2 supernovas (played as drawn), 1 fractal, and 1 panda.
Use panda to rewind the remaining 9 nymphs and the 13 BE's.
Play the last 1 BE in hand and fractal it.
Play all 8 BE's.
Use hourglasses to draw 4 supernovas, 1 aether tower, and 1 fractal.
Fractal a BE.
Play all 8 BE's.
Use hourglasses to draw 9 aether towers and 1 fractal.
Fractal a BE.
Play 6 BE's (field is full at this point, so two left over).

That's a total of...
39 brimstone eaters
32 aether towers
6 supernovas

For 77 quanta sources in one turn.

Sixty-two?

Eight from your hand. Then draw twenty-three more with a field full of golden nymphs. And sixteen more with hourglasses/mindgates in all permanent slots. Extra nymphs, hourglasses, and mindgates can all be mindgated. 8 + 23 + 16 = 47.

AHH. Lake Victoria doesn't need water, because it's filled with Victory[a] :D

I think that might be my closest guess, seeing as you said it had to do with a pun. If it's not it, I have nothing else.

Uhh. To the north of Lake Victoria is Uganda. Uganda has camels. Camels travel in deserts. Deserts contain sand. Hence the quicksands.

..At this point, I'm severely confused.

I think you misunderstood -- what I said is that there is no 'joining'.  In other words, anyone can just bop into the thread and post their deck and their screenshots at any time.  There's no official list of competitors or anything like that. :)
Oh. In that case, I have a question. Does it matter how many times we kill a particular god, or is it just whoever kills each of the seven first?

Buff This Card! / Re: Graviton Mercenary l Graviton Guard

+1 hp to both versions seems fine to me. Obviously they still won't be used much as backbones of attacking forces, but as mentioned before, this opens options for a rage potion synergy or simply more survivability. After all, I'd rather have a guard keep attacking for three damage after taking a lightning bolt to the face than a frog who does zero damage after the lightning.

Lake Victoria has problems with overfishing. This is represented by the lack of fish in the deck :D

Except not really, but we'll run with that. Not much else for me to do since you disallowed "joining".

Lake Victoria is water. Funnily enough, the deck doesn't have any water cards. Nor does it have enough earth usage to warrant the triple mark and pendulums in addition to supernova quanta, but that's just my opinion. I did account for the pests' burrow ability. Then again, a lot of quanta seems to go unused.

The above paragraph is rather irrelevant, seeing as this thread tests the strength of the anti-FG decks, not the FG decks. (Though the two are somewhat correlated.)

OOH. RAINBOWS reflect off the surface of Lake Victoria! This deck is RAINBOW. I THINK I GOT IT.

Quantum towers made it look like it was heading rainbow, but I think we can make this work :D

Aether pendulum

A single win gives a 33/35% chance, not each spin.

Why does every deck have to turn into a rainbow =_= .. we could've made a fine time/aether duo.

Time tower, practicality has to come from somewhere :D
