I've been using this deck against AI5 and it's extremely effective, most of your wins also come with EM which compensates for the longer matches.try saving 2-3 firebolts, if you're up against a bonewall
Bonewall absolutely crushes this deck though as you only have one source of damage.
hey noobiecakes, I like your version, although for taking a more defensive approach I've been thinking about one or two Wing-shields - as in case of being stolen, I wouldn't even care, while aether shields are pain in the a** when stolen and really hurt this deck. what do you think?Have to agree on that. I got my Fog Shield stolen a couple of times, and it was a pita. I'll test Wings instead of Fog Shield. The Electrocutor I included hasn't proven it's worth for now.
wich one to upgrade first?Supernovas and Pillars
Novas just aren't strong enough to replace a QT in terms of a long-run benefit. It seems like almost an auto-quit if you don't draw at least 2 or 3 towers in your starting hand.I promptly suggested your deck to my newbie friend and he was able to farm 4 SNovas in his first session, so it's not that big of a concern. This deck is really great, especially because of it's low requirement cost.
I made about 30 decks but only ended up using basically 4 of them. As it turns out I never used any of the Sanctuary or Discord decks I made, which I never expected. Also kinda happy that I never had to resort to a mono aether deck. I used 3 of them in the Finals so I'll post them here with a recap.
I ran into a ton of EQ users along the way, so Game 1 I went with a minimalist pillar approach and played an immo rush with graboids. As it turns out it was the perfect deck to use as he went Discord/EQ and had no defense from the onslaught.Code: [Select]58u 58u 58u 58u 58u 58u 590 590 590 590 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f2 5f2 5f2 5f2 5f2 5f2 5f6 5f6 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9
For Game 2 I was expecting him to counter the rush with heavy CC or perms so I went with a counter deck of Pulvy/EQ. He totally outmaneuvered me and went with Discord/BH and once the Discord popped out on the second turn I was toast.Code: [Select]55p 55p 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58r 58r 58r 58r 58r 58r 58v 58v 58v 593 593 593 593 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa
Game 3 had me worried about another Discord deck and I debated playing an entropybow to counter it. My gut told me that everyone so far had played a mono deck and that I should prep for it, so I did. I played a gravity counter deck that I'd used several times when I expected and once the Gravity Shield came out if was only a matter of time before my Catapult or Chimera showed up to finish him off.Code: [Select]55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55o 55o 55o 55o 55o 55o 55p 55p 560 561 576 576 576 576 592 592 595 595 595 595 595 595
Another deck that I used regularly throughout the tournament was a variation on the Game 2 deck that was focused more on CC. I came in very handy against an AM deck when I was able to Guard my own dragon.Code: [Select]58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58r 58r 58r 58r 58r 58r 58v 58v 58v 593 593 593 596 596 596 596 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa
