The current win ratio for platinum is very close to 33%
Sounds like a perfect number to me, again, the fact that if feels frustrating to the most does not mean that it needs to be removed from the game because it is too challenging, it is the equivalent of the "level7" that a few players have been asking for.

Rewards will be adjusted accordingly when the arena will go live.
This number may be inflated by skeleton decks, as mentioned.  Poor deck construction should remain constant.  In order for platinum to be worthwhile to play, opportunities to win ups after each game need to be available, otherwise playing false gods will remain much more profitable.  In this case, a 3.6% chance of spinning for an upped rare is not worth it.

Had him outdecked in the 1st.  By the time the 4th came around I was too lazy/disheartened from being down 2-1 to care to change.

I like kev's idea of decay occurring at 24 hours or upon Oracle spin.  I really don't see the downside and it does a lot to promote interest in the arena, increase competition, and keep the entire community involved.

Draft - Battle Results / Re: Drafting Feedback
« on: June 30, 2011, 06:32:46 pm »
Given the whole situation that went down with Team nrate missing the 8 hour deadline, 10 men picking 1 minute after, TStar ragequitting as a result and the event immediately becoming non-fun for team nrate.  I will say that there was definitely better ways to react by both 10 men and TStar.  QT's team was given a friendly extension previously by dd, but rules are rules.

Ultimately, there was an incompetence of leadership in our team, and an incompetence in the rest of our team to identify this and step up to help out.  Expecting one person to be able to draft every 8 hours is a lot, but we never communicated how the responsibility would be delegated.  All-in-all... not fun & sadface.

Yeah, we got tripped up by timezones since 90% (maybe 100%?) of our team being American.  Also, there was no coordination of power in our secret area so I think a lot of us were expecting Seraph to be the final say on our picks but that is expecting too much from 1 person every 8 hours.  It is sad to see a fun event showing war-like symptoms and attitudes, oh well.

Ok so this event has quickly become stupid to me.  We have other teams waiting to pick 1 minute after our 8 hours is up.  They take the exact card we discussed taking.  One of our members (#1 pick in fact) quits because we had a leader logged on and didn't post to take the pick.  8 hours is a really strict requirement to expect everyone to babysit picks at 3am in the morning, especially when no delegation of power has been discussed.  I would think the friendly thing to do would be to try and find someone from said team to let them know the deadline is approaching, but I don't blame team squiggly E for choosing competition over good-hearted fun.  I would have followed the rules and done the same.

That being said, this sad nrate takes Animate Weapon.  I will no longer be investing any real time in this event, simply doing what is needed to avoid a parasite.
