There are a few ultimate spell ideas, and they drain all quanta of a type (like miracle and stone skin, and I'm sure we'll see others).stone skin doesn't drain all of your earth qaunta
I think rainbow decks do well enough as it is, so why not alter the mechanic to drain ALL quanta instead of all quanta of that type?
Mono decks will be unaffected, but it will make rainbowing a bit harder.

LOLNah, then you have a given ratio of 8 damage/2 quanta, which comes down to 4 damage/quanta. On the other hand, any thing that has a "free" cost has a damage/quanta ratio that approaches infinity (Ball lightning is better.Especially with blessings XD), which is obviously a lot higher than 4.
Although I prefer Momentum on my Ball Lightnings...
