Well, if the card gets to crucible (and atm it looks like it), it most probably is still going to be mended a bit there, so I reckon there's no hurry to finalize the card right here and now yet.

Got an idea to Hive Mind. Perhaps it could give weaker buff to insects, but the advanced one could generate random insect with  :life :life :life, or something along those lines.

Perhaps it is still too far fetched...

One more reason why the Q soldiers should be barred from mitosis.

Looks like the topic has taken a life of it's own while I had to fix the PC. Heh.

But anyhow. The term of "construct": Infection, Basilisk Blood and Mitosis, would have to be rigged to something else, as construct as in name just doesn't quite cut it, unless the same is inserted to all other ones fitting the description.

Btw, no fantasy world I have encountered so far has had asexually reproducing golems. They have been the servants of mages, or experiments gone awry.

Let's not do that. Steel Golems are technically unmitosisable if we do, and they are technically made out of... well, steel.

How about giving it a drawback instead? "Absorb 1 :rainbow per turn" perhaps (maybe 2 or 3 even)? That way you can't use mitosis without running the risk of losing too much quanta.
Well it would make sense to me that mitosis wouldn't work on them, they're golems afterall. What's organic in them? And the name of the passive skill WOULD be construct. Last I checked, Golems still were under definition of construct.

Maybe an upkeep of 1 :rainbow would be tolerable, but I really shouldn't see the poin't why the pkeep in deemed necessary.

It wouldn't make sense that a mechanic creature that is immune to venom, could not be duplicated by mitosis. Perhaps the creature should be rephrased instead:

Robot Warrior / Robot Soldier

Construct: Immune to Infect, Basilisk Blood and Mitosis.


If the construct idea would go trough, then it could go to all of the flying weapons (they're definately not organic), and possibly to that Steam Machine, altough I'm not sure if there is something inside it that's steering it or if it's really a true robotic construct.

As people surveyed the insects such as ant colonies and bee hives, they wondered how they were so organized, and suspected there were some sort of hive mind behind it all. Of course we now know better the function behind it all, but the legend of the "Hive Mind" has lived on and how it communicated to and controlled the members of it's hive by some incorporeal means, telepathy or psychic perhaps.

So yeah, it might be a bit forcing to do dual colour out from it, but the basic idea is the same. Boost insects (this time bit faster) and if eliminated, slashback to the insects - the sensitive creatures to psionics, as the death cry burns them too.

Probably will have to drop the cost still, as nightfall/eclipse is so cheap, and they don't have a drawback.

SERIES:
The telepathy part is of Aether isn't it? And most usually the Creature behind the Hive Mind is some lumbering hulk, needing others to defend itself, so it could suit to either Earth or Life, Life beign the stronger candinate IMO.

Also, as there are incestoids in nearly every element, it would be rather strong of a buffer to rainbow decks based on insect rushes.

ah, but htat's where you miss the very point. It is not a weapon, it is a creature. And Dagger nor Short Sword neither have affinity for anything, as they are lower class weapons, costing less.

If the Quantum Soldier/Warrior would have bonus to a certain element, it would lose the neutralness of the lowest grunt of "other" creature, and in principle would have to be put in that said element then.

They could have some sort of skill that would cost :rainbow, or maybe the upped creature could produce  :rainbow :rainbow or something instead of stat increase. It would have to go trough a name change (the upgrade) then, tho.

Soul Catcher + Boneyard + Sprite Bat = Endless :death and infinite|infinite Sprite Bat

Broken imo.

It should not trigger the death effect of the skeletons it destroys, or it should not be able to use the skill more than once per turn. Then it could make more sense to me. But that's just my opinion.
