Osiris playing strange... i was using a ccyb with adds, i played a jade shield and his momentum scarabs started to eat each other and i was near to lose due to momentum... then i played a perma and scarabs stopped to eat and grow (easy win after that). It's just a bit strange Osiris stopped using a useful strategy when he saw permafrost... Probably i'd have lost that match...

Game Suggestions and Feedback / Re: New quest: defeat all FGs

Yup i thought something like a big quest with many steps, so you have both a daily quest to do (or at least attempt to do) and a final mission (that can be achieved only after some weeks of battles).
The oracle's part was just to not screw this quest with prediction but can be found easily a solution that not involve oracle's predictions...
The nymphs choice would also be good, would be the only way to gain a nymph we aren't able to win (random is good, excessive randomness is bad)...

If "ends their turn" means "gain an extra turn", it's definitely op (not that bad for time  ;D). Chain this and sundial and you'll give a lot of extra turns to do whatever you want imho.
But i really like the skipping drawing phase. Maybe you can lover the cost  :time :time/ :time, opponent won't draw a card and you draw one. That would be something like a sundial blocking next move but not creatures attack, making a nice combination. Nice idea.

I think we need something we can do each day that ended in a few games (1-6 battles), something different from simple grinding but still focussed on battles. Your idea won't be (in the long time) something doable in a single day and would mean more grinding. But then there wouldn't be anything hard to code and would be easy to build and that will force people to fight HBs more and more.
I would save at least a chart where first win against an FG is reported, so this can give us the illusion it's a continuing quest not doable in a few days.

Game Suggestions and Feedback / New quest: defeat all FGs

Hi, thinking about this idea for 2 weeks and today decided to know what others think about this. Probably someone has already wrote something similar but haven't found it so maybe my idea has something useful.

First of all, the last quest we have is "pick a weap and fight FGs"... and then? Only FGs grinding? So the idea is to add a daily quest (doable once everyday) which will pick a FG and you fight him.
The first point is that this can be bond to oracle prevision (my oracle say i'll meet Osiris, so my daily quest is vs Osiris) or unbond with oracle's prediction (another wheel after oracle will tell us who we'll meet). There should be a map (i have seen one in this forum somewhere) with all the kingdoms and elements (12 elements and enough kingdoms for every FG) so you can see how many FG's you have already defeated. If this make some problems, a simple list with names is enough.
So oracle or FG's wheel told me i'll meet Osiris... i'll not meet the FG but i'll enter in Osiris kingdom. There i'll have to fight to have a chance to challenge the false god. Osiris is monotime, so i'll meet first 1-2 lvl3 decks monotime, and then an half blood with same elements of the FG (so again monotime). Those battles will be normals, just maybe an higher chance to win cards [a common at least from lvl3 and mid cards from HB, a weap/pharaoh or an upgraded one (if really lucky)]. Then finally comes the FG. Imho the battle should be a bit harder, my idea is that FG will pick a random card in his deck and show it in the first turn (before battle begins). The FG will be able to use that card once per turn paying the cost (for example: Osiris pick a rewind, i'll see it near his hand and Osiris will be able to pay 2 time each turn to use it). The card can be removed from his deck or not, just don't matter. This is the only idea i have had to have FG a bit stronger (more than x3 mark? would be useless all that mana. More than 2x cards? that would me a change in every FG's deck). FG's can pick also a pillar (oh i'm lucky) or a black hole (DM is goin to pwn me badly), so also a bit of luck will help a lot here. If you defeat the FG you will win for sure an upgraded card and explore his temple/kingdom. Then you may find a treasure, which can give you a small amount of coins (10-100 for example) and if enough lucky a shard (unupgraded). Now you have defeated Osiris, you'll not be able to meet this FG again in this daily fg quest. This will be updated in your map (or list) so you know which FG you defeated and those that owned you.
Ok i have some other small ideas about this but it's already enough to give an idea about what i have thought. Just a thing, i wrote this 'cause seems to be not that hard to implement (i guess) and probably can become better if someone read it. I'm sure others have already opened 3d to solve the boring FG's farms but at least i hope i have added something usefull. Ty and sorry for the enourmous post and eventually typo.

General Discussion / Re: Winning cards is related to decks?

Oh thanks for the fast reply. I knew about mono decks winnning cards rate (example farms in t50 with only two cards) but haven't seen the full explanation about how that works. Also seems that my luck ended after i wrote up here, today i'm winning again 1 cards every 4-5 fg killed so was just a long and a bit strange coincidence.

General Discussion / Winning cards is related to decks?
« on: August 31, 2010, 07:23:51 pm »
Hello all, just a noobish question wasn't able to find an answer...
Is there any relationship between winning cards rate and decks? I have used Scaredgirl unupgraded FG deck until two days ago (thanks a lot for deck and planning guides funny to read) and won barely a card every 4-5 FG... After a lot of grinding them i added perma, sog's and... tried Amilir "cc?why bother" FG deck nearly fully upgraded (thanks Amilir too)... in last 2 days, with a winning rate of 40-50%, i have won a card every FG i have defeated... If a single one didn't give me a card the next one gave me two...
I thought yesterday "oh finally i'm lucky", then "i'm really lucky"... then "suspicious" and now would really know if it's somehow related to deck used (if a total upgraded one has better chances for example). After only 2 days i have won around 30-40 upgraded card (doubled my upped cards) and i stopped to sell them (when i started using Amilir's the deck wasn't fully upgraded, were missing around 10 cards). I should switch back to Scaredgirl's and try if something change but now i'm a bit lazy and that wouldn't probably give me any right and full answer.

Sorry if i wrote something wrong or i needed to write somewhere else (my first post), maybe i can undestand too if there's anything that affect winning cards rate.
