Haven't done any AI, just PvP. AI decks tend to be too quanta rich for devs.

The dragon can be spammed later in the game. Idea is to not use it unless necessary. Thinking about adding cloak to help protect the spamming process early.

Chargers do have momentum, but since you have so much quanta denial, maybe you want to use aboms/purple dragons instead? (better dmg/quanta ratio)
I might have to try that... The saphs have been great though.

I've been using this variation of devourer spam;

Not original, but I am absolutely having a blast with it, so I thought I'd post it. It's a seat of your pants ride in PvP every time... the deck develops slowly at times, and I've found myself hovering near death, just healing enough to barely escape a loss, trying to pump out devs just for the healing - forget denial, too many rainbows to deny much with devs these days - praying for my shield to come out and clean up the board, once that happens, I try to moderate my damage so I have time to heal back up to 100 for an EM. A lot of those EM's are just sooooo close. Really having fun playing this deck in PvP at the moment.

Well, it's not really standard, but I just assumed Seraph's was the most well known.
Code: [Select]
4ve 4ve 4vf 4vl 4vl 4vl 4vl 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 55l 55l 55l 55v 55v 55v 55v 55v 55v (mark of :gravity)
Here, the excess :entropy is put into abominations and a dragon. Also, his version uses entropy pendulums, which means a discord can come out faster and lock down the opponent earlier. You also only have 2 discords in your deck, so the chances of drawing them aren't that high. Chaos seeds might be useful as control, but you don't need to worry about otys unless they're blessed, and mind flayers aren't that great either. The purpose of your chargers is not momentum, but merely extra damage. With a good discord/black hole denial going, you should be able to lock down your opponent and not worry about CC and PC.
Great looking deck, I'm short a couple of discords, only have the two actually, but I like the look of this deck.

Why not just use standard disc/bh? Those chaos seeds aren't really that reliable CC.
I wanted a use for extra entropy quanta, and the seeds have been pretty good in protecting my chargers from oty's, mind flayers, etc. and can also pick off low health pumpable creatures like spirits and golems early.

What's the 'standard'deck build then?

Not a complaint, just wondering if it's only me, or if this happens to people regularly. It's pretty much 100% of all desynch errors that do this now, later in the game they often get a 100 health miracle effect, while losing all their creatures on the board too, but not as often as the EA, which comes with a dagger if they don't have an artifact out.

Doesn't seem rush to me. Those Chargers are too low in attack. But indeed a good denial deck.
Not a true rush, but once the saphire chagers start popping out one after another, opponents feel pretty rushed. It had some nice 10 turn kills in PvP. I suppose I should change the "rush" in the title to "redundant sapphire charge"

This deck has been a lot of fun in PvP, and giving all those popular rainbow decks a serious headache, while completely shutting down mono and duo with a good draw. It even survived a devourer-quake denial deck, although it was a pretty boring match on both sides.

Discord and Black Hole is just such a great combo, and I only recently discovered how versatile sapphire chargers are.... Mono-aether tends to flop hard against this deck.

I feel you could drop one each of shield and arsenic. Theyre important, but you can only have one of each active. I suppose in PvP PC is a bigger factor though
I like getting arsenic out asap, and always want a skull shield in reserve when one gets destroyed/stolen. 3 and 3 might seem to be a little much, but the tradeoff of getting them in play fast seemed to outweigh a useless draw later in the game...

Deck Help / Entropic Singularity (Duo EM vs AI3)
« on: March 03, 2012, 08:18:48 pm »
Meant to be an EM deck for AI3. Not doing half bad so far (not enough games played yet to know for sue). I'd like some comments to see if I can't make it PvP-worthy.

Strategy is simple, try to maximize the black hole - discord combo, use a mo'd oty or two to keep the board clean (no answer for aether creatures unfortunately) bring out a dragon if/when the opponent is properly stalled. With only one AM it's hard to count on it, but if it shows up, and can be used, try to delay the kill until you're up to 100 health, drop out the dragon(s) when you're ready to finish off your opponent.

Deck is far from perfect, but I'd sure like to get some PvP mileage out of a great synergy between BH and discord.

I took out the Morning Star so it could be completely a beginner's deck. Try to get your Luciferins going as quickly as possible, even if it's only on 2-3 creatures. Once you have 8 light emitting creatures just hold the dragons in your hand and rush him at the end.

Another winner. These decks almost make it too easy - the match was never in jeopardy...

Anybody have any real luck against false Gods without an oracle visit first?
