Hmm. The problem with a mono earth deck is anything with sufficient creature control could shut it down to make it strictly worse than a rainbow deck, though to be fair, that's true of pretty much every non-aether mono-deck.

I have no fundamental problem problem with switching the element, though thematically I think earth makes the most sense (and is fundamentally a matter of cost).

I'm open to more changes/thoughts, but I think it would be a cool mechanic if it could be salvaged and made workable.

Blind: Creature has a 50% miss chance

Bleeding: Costs 1 quanta of the appropriate type for turn for the next three turns. If an appropriate quanta is not found, it dies.

Slowed: The creature goes into stasis every time it attacks.

Unstable: Has a 20% chance of dying each round

Interesting. I'd be a little worried that it works too well with sparks, but at the present that shouldn't be too worrisome since darkness and air have no overlap.
I thought this was overpowered with Spark, too, until I realized...

Playing Banshee like playing any other card with an active ability means that you cannot use that ability on the turn that it is summoned. Thus, you cannot use its ability on your own Sparks.

Unless there's an exploitable loophole I'm not aware of.
Play the sparks on rounds after playing the Banshee?

In any case, it should be fixable, even if it was broken (maybe make it two air?) That said, I'm not sure it is.

My justification for it being balanced is that it seemed to be fair in that it stopped 2 or 3 spells for 6 quanta, with the chance to be killed first, which seems fair compared to destruction or creature control spells. Lowering the absorption rate (maybe to 25%/33%) could alter the balance a little.

I like the weakening thought thematically, though I was trying to make it still somewhat feasible to put spells in your own deck given the benefit to your poppets. Any thoughts on how to fix that?

I dont know about a card that changes elements when upgrades, doesnt seem right
There are cards that get close enough downgrading to x of any quanta, and sundial completely loses time.

That said, lowering the cost would probably help, maybe lowering the quanta cost for the ability.

This gives a way to provide some semblance of defense against enemy spells. Multiple Poppets would apply sequentially (so test for spell absorption on the first one, if it passes, check on the second). The downside of this card is 1)It's poor attack per cost, and 2) The fact that it affects your own spells.

A Card Idea I was playing around with.

The Idea of this card is to allow players to use the Gnome Banker to get expensive cards for cheaper (at a delay) or even cards that they couldn't play because they didn't have the right quanta. It works by destroying a card from your hand, which then appears as a one use ability in 2/3 rounds (so you gain an ability that has the same effect as the card. The downside is threefold: 1)You must pay 7 earth before you can even start to see the card, 2)You must wait 2/3 turns, and 3) If the Bank is killed, lobotomized, rewound etc. before the time is up, you loose the card.

This card opens up new strategies for earth decks, which can act as semi-rainbow decks (With a few cards like Miracle or the like thrown in to give them a slightly difficult to pull off kick), or load up more heavily on high cost cards like dragons.
