Be sure to post here when they get moved to crucible.

I still think there should be an avatar generator.

One way I though to do it is to have a spell:
Target a creature on your side of an element you don't currently have an avatar for. The creature becomes that avatar.
I already have a plan for avatar generater  :)

If you read the Avatar legend I made, there's a hint for what those cards are going to be called.

With that said, my life is busy as it is, and it doesn't make sense for me to start yet another series for the time being when my avatar series has not even made it into level 1 yet. So, my plan is to release Elementilord series (ok, I spilled it...) when/if the avatar series actually makes it into Armory.

So, let's see how those little critters do in voting first  :)

Hi, everyone.

I just added a story to my avatars called "Elemental Avatar Legend," which can be found on the front page. The story explains where the avatars came from and why they exist. Just thought it'd be more entertaining. I hope you like it. :)

I really like the water and holy avatar.

What I don't like is the fact that the unupped versions of Fire, Gravity and Aether are so different from their corresponding upgraded versions. They just get a totally different use wich is, in my opinion, not what upgrading a card should do.

Also, what does the earth avatar do? Except just sit there on the field as cannon fodder.

Nonetheless, very nice job, but I think it needs some work.
I see that Krathos already answered (thank you), but I also wanted to make sure I respond to your post. I answered your question about earth avatar in the earth avatar thread (where I saw another post you made regarding your question).

In terms of upgrading, I think it's good to have cards that transform. It expands the horizon of this game. For example, we have shards. A useless rock turns into something powerful.

Another point is that those creatures are "avatars." So, their abilities are more defined by their elements rather than as a creature. I can see how a specific creature or an animal would have a relatively consistent skill in real life. However, avatars are representations of elements. So, it makes sense for them to possess skills that reflect elemental properties.

For example, for gravity, gravity is a force that "pulls" (although physics would say that this is an incorrect word to use). Just as in Newton's apple, it's why things "drop" to the ground. That's why it's skills, gravitation & reverse gravitation, "drop" creature's attack or HP. If you understand the skills this way, you will see that both unupped and upped skills are more "similar" than "different."

for the gravity ones, you should say, draws 1 additional card, cos otherwise its useless for fgs and halfbloods
Personally, I do not believe in designing cards to play against halfblood or FG. The main purpose of this game is for "real people" to play within its "real rules." Halfblood and FG are "exceptions." They are playing outside of the rules. So, it does not make sense to buff up cards for them. That'd ruin the game.

Haha. Yea, after I said it, it sounded better than every card. With your vote, I've no doubt, so I went ahead and changed it.

Just in case anybody wonders, this is every creature, so it includes opponent's creatures. Opponent can still use them fine, but s/he wouldn't know which creature or creature's skill s/he is activating. (then again, if they are your cards, you very likely remember what they are or where they are, so it probably won't be as bad). ;)

Yea, I really don't think that's OP at all.

I mean, this game doesn't let you "place" cards. And, if I remember correctly, it starts out by placing cards "away" from each other, does it not? Like this?

XXOXOXOXX

(O= creature, X=open)

On top of it, it is rare to have creatures on the top and bottom row. This card can be powerful, but this is a kind of card that requires well-thought strategies and skills to pull them off.

Haha. Yea, that's a good point. I never even thought about that. But, I suppose it'll just have the same effect. It may sound useless against false god at a glance, but in a way, you and false god become more even with 1 less advantage on FG maybe?

So if I'm not mistaking, the only thing it does is sit there, growing, waiting to be catapulted or gravity pulled?

Isn't that a bit one sided for a creature card? Even Armagio's are more flexible then that.

I like the idea of creatures growing over time but I don't see what the added value of this creature would be.
I think you may be under-estimating this card. You make it sound like catapulted or gravity pulled is something so small, but they can be pretty powerful with this card. Right now, we don't see too many people using catapult (because it's doesn't have strong combo and doesn't do well against other decks), so this card can fill in the gap for earth users.

Armagio is more flexible? really? I seriously doubt that. Armagio is easy to beat (I've never had difficult with him), but this creature basically keeps gaining HPs each turn, so if gravity pulled, it'd be harder to beat than Armagio. For example, for upped card, if you had 3 creatures, and if your opponent had 3 creatures (which I think is like an average I see), this card keeps gaining 12 HPs every turn.

Furthermore, I did not want to spill the beans here,..... but, if you used this card with let's say graveyard, malignant cell, etc... "wink wink." You could even throw in Chimera.... possibilities are endless. I've said this in my response to you in another thread before, but it's not what but how you use the card.

What happened to your dancing bear by the way?

Ummm,,,, alive.... maybe.... or..... I'm haunting my computer to finish the work I've started....  :P

I personally don't think it'd be OP, but I'll wait to hear from more people. If anything, I can always modify to target only certain cards (like creatures only?), but we'll see.

Yes, s/he still can do everything fine. It's only "visually confusing." If they have a good memory, they could even remember which creature/permanent was in which square. But, of course, it'll increase the chance of targeting a wrong creature, etc. :)

By the way, I just came back from my trip today, but I got rear ended for the first time in my life yesterday :(
But, I'm fine as you can see lol....

OK. So, I changed dark avatar's skills  :)
You can check on the front page, but for your convenience, here they are:

Dark Illusion: As long as this card is on the field, all numeral values are invisible to your opponent.

(upped) Shadow Illusion: As long as this card is on the field, every card will look like this card to your opponent.

I suppose there will be some questions, so I'll go ahead and explain some. So, for dark illusion, your opponent has no idea what any creature's attack|Hp are, your or his/her LPs are, how many quanta you or s/he has. But, this is only an illusion, so the game play will carry out just the same. It just makes it confusing to your opponent. So, maybe instead of seeing 2|4, maybe your opponent sees X|X. All quanta will have "X" instead of numbers. Or, whatever makes sense and easier for the programmer. For shadow illusion, every card's image is swapped with this card image ONLY TO YOUR OPPONENT. You can still see just fine, but your opponent can't tell which card is which! Then again, this is just an illusion, so the game play carries out the same, still it'd make things pretty tough for your opponent :P

I hope you like them!
