Round 7 / Re: (Death) Jaymanfu 3 - (Air) plastiqe 0
« on: November 28, 2011, 09:01:42 am »
Well, now it looks like all we have to do is win our only game every round until every other team runs out of cards. Sorry about our decks this round Team.

Deck Help / Re: Yup, another deck...... Unstable Gas + Quint needs help!
« on: November 28, 2011, 01:14:23 am »
I like the deck, I built several around my nymphs. This is just opinions, but IMO, the best ways to run it quanta wise are more like this

Deck import code : [Select]
5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 8pu

or like this

Deck import code : [Select]

they seem a little more stable to me at least (the pillar/pend counts are made up)

One of my favourite thing about air/aether duo is that you can in fact pack spiders and wings for 5 turn shields, providing some sort of defense while you draw cards.

So, this is what I might have come up with on my own with this concept

of course, this ignores many of the elements present in your deck, and might not be as fun to play (like fractals/dragons/silences)

With 3 elements, there is a lot of room for customisation, deflags (kind of reccommended), shockwaves (not really reccommended), thunderstorms (lol)

I hope something I posted here helped you out somehow, keep right on making decks that you want to!!! (Best way to really get the most from the game)

Music / Re: Rate the song above you
« on: November 27, 2011, 11:46:48 pm »
I felt like it started very well, for lack of any musical terms/knowledge I liked the slow building up of the instruments/sounds, especially once I started hearing the familiar ish guitar sound, it felt very much like a clever mix of the ambient epic sounds I used to like, and some of the more guitar based stuff I listen to now. When the vocals started up, I quickly realised that it wasn't the kind of stuff I liked, which for me, was a shame. From that point, it had a few moments where it seemed to be going well, but those kinds of vocals really get to me, and by the end just annoyed me to be honest.

6/10 for me, but that call is just due to a difference in taste to be honest.

I used to like it just as an opener, but the more I listen to it, the more I like it as a song, want to see what others think  :)

They may have not been the best circumstances, but I am very glad that this seems to have worked out for the best anyway, Grats aether

Philosophy / Re: Meaning of life.
« on: November 27, 2011, 09:33:59 pm »
The whole human race is an experiment in which we are trapped on a doomed planet, and generation after generation we must try to adapt and create so as to be able to escape or survive the eventual apocalypse, and have our next generations after generations live their lives normally.

Which effectively is meaningless in every case, since not every individual can help here at all, and then you begin to think about how much the lives were really different before and after the 'apocalypse scenario'.

These thoughts also occur in the same conversation which tends to occur after any group watching some sort of Zombie movie. "I'd just die, there isn't anything left man! Wait, unless I was with a girl. Or just a really cool guy, right? No worries, we can do whatever" - what point makes life 'worth living' once people are gone. Is it just people? Family? Sex?
If you take those things away in this world (non-zombie), is it still there for a reason?

I like cats. Sometimes, I watch cats. They are really amazing things, almost indifferent at times, and you never know what is going through their heads. They just live, instinctually. I personally doubt that most cats would ever feel the concepts of having had a bad life or a good life. A cat probably knows that it is being treated well, or badly, and it would like to be treated well more, and badly less. But at the end of the day, a cat wouldn't think "well, this day could have gone better", or "I wish I was that fat white cat on that balcony, eating... is that a whole chicken!!??"
Humans are pretty much the opposite. Which really sucks for us to be honest, I always overthink things, and compare my life to others. (This works two ways though, most people ehre can consider themselves fortunate, for having language/literacy skills and access to very first world equipment (internet) - but the trend is to compare ourselves to the other side)

And then, again, you can compare your own life (this is a trend in my idea here) to that of a Cat. They seem fufilled, you don't, despite being aware, and having some sort of concept of the meaning of life.

In the end, it looks like our only answer is to define it for ourselves - or not at all. We could wake up upon death as another tally in the massive chart of the aliens experiment, and knowing it was all a test, would it change any life of ours?

General Discussion / Re: Krach : Do you want it to be applied to leagues?
« on: November 26, 2011, 11:14:11 pm »
It seems pretty obvious to me that this system is superior, what we really need to know is whether it would be difficult and worth the time to implement this into the leagues

Round 7 / Re: (entropy) Lt Rastafla 3 - 1 (air) Gen DrunkDestroyer
« on: November 26, 2011, 09:28:51 am »
If I wasn't such a fine gentleman, I would be writing a wall of rage cursing Rastafla, entropy, discord and equestrians filling up the page and using more '  >:( ' icons than MatrimKK when I bid on BatCountry.

Unfortunately, that illusion will probably hold until Airs secret section goes public.

I got a certain degree of satisfaction seeing the mark/pends that we expected upon entering the game, unfortunately - we expected less Discords and more antimatters (I mean, you're vsing light, but I guess you guys know something we don't)

I'm just raging here, not because I should have won these games, but because I really wanted to.

Ah well, even if we never beat entropy again, we will always remember our magical gassy lady and a few spiders overcoming all odds to beat insurmountable walls of the dead, poisonous daggers, spells and pure controlled chaos to defeat Voldemort/throw the ring into Mordor/reclaim the throne from Scar as the rightful heir of Mufasa.

(expect a book series to be hitting the shelves fall 2012)

We'll be back next round.  8)

** Play notes/clarification

in game 2 when I played a stave, I had another in hand, I was just baiting a steal to get rid of that damn discord (and maybe play wings later). didn't really work, he drew his second dragon after I eventually played wings and won.

Three-man Team PvP - Battle Results / Re: [N] Armedilgo 2 vs. RainBros 0

I'd like to say that I was playing fun decks. Unfortunately, this was near to the same thing I would have played had this been important to winning. (Second deck my have been different, wanted to use some of the decks I could only use this round)

Expected some sort of  :entropy:light or  :earth:light stall, probably the latter because air has UGs which beat antimatter. I clearly don't have that much faith in my predictions (as you can see, 4 BHs for any nova deck really)

Thought he'd play Disc/EQ this time round.

Should have just gone with improvised 60 card decks. Ah well, thanks to my teammates for letting me suck :P

Round 7 / Re: (Time) valuka 3 - (Air) Lt. Legit 0
« on: November 24, 2011, 11:47:30 pm »
In hindsight, we really should have expected this deck.

If my brain had worked a little better, I might have realised that Vampires aren't in fact the perfect counter to sundial, their heal isn't some magical pre-nerf SoG regen, and maybe taken this deck and sundials into account. I feel like I need to go back and AI1 to relearn all the card skills ;)

This was eventually going to happen, congratulations team time - you deserved this win after a few unlucky matches, we were outplayed here.

Wait, I'm going test the Life Duo against Entropy's Antimatter stalls.  Since I think Vampires are well...

Edit:  Or are we converting all of the life cards to pillars/pends now? :0
I've converted them to make the vault work, I can un convert them just as simply. BTW, click on the anonymous users thing in vault if you can ;), opens up a chat box

1 hour 40 minutes to go, ugh, for some reason I thought we had 1 more day.

Ok, looks like we need to rush this, and fit it all into the vault.

Not that much time for testing and ect, I'm running the air/aether duo now, and it seems like it needs more pillars, less pends, really aether is near useless after the first fractal.

is what I'm running at this exact moment. I'm not sure whether its the best deck to take, the other option is the  :life duo.
And that probably has too many pillars, not enough pends, and maybe 1 too many lightnings.

I guess darkness duo vs entropy, and entropy duo vs time still. Going to put them here, then into vault, please comment if you have better solutions.
