Deck Help / Looking for the best
« on: July 01, 2011, 04:47:19 pm »
I dont know why I only just now learned about the possibility of a dragonbow deck but I recently played against one. While the whole idea seems more like a flashy way to play than an efficient grinding deck I still want to build one. What are some of the best dragonbows out there? Im having trouble finding them.

Do not ever, ever, ever post names of suspected cheaters or hackers in chat or on the forums. Almost every case of hacking/cheating during a match is, in fact, a symptom of desynchronization. If the player has obviously cheated their way onto the top 50, send an email to game.elements@gmail.com with evidence (i.e. screenshot). Forum staff can do nothing about hackers or cheaters, so please, do not post about players accused of cheating.
Oops; I really should have read that first but I was kind of pissed when I posted that. Trolls fml. Ill take the name down. I should probably just delete this topic anyways cause I dont have a screenshot as evidence.

Issue Archive / Major desync or a hack
« on: June 29, 2011, 07:56:03 am »
I entered into a PvP1 game against a random player. He had a gravity mark and went first. On his first turn he played a Crimson Dragon and a Lava Golem, which put his fire quanta to -15 or something like that. I commented on the possibility of a desync to which he replied "I just lol", also the desync symbol was not showing during the match. As the game progressed he continued to play high cost cards (2 Phoenix, Otyugh, another dragon and used the golems ability) without ever once playing a pillar or any card to receive quanta. Needless to say I lost the game, on the 3rd turn.

I'd of been content to just consider it a desync error if it wasnt for his comment and the general nature of the cards he was playing (ie: not erratic and random like most desyncs) Before we entered the match I noted that he had 3 wins and 0 losses so Im going to conclude that this was a troll using a smurf account. I would share screenshots but Im using a Mac (had it for less than a week) and I dont know how to take a screenshot.

Deck Help / Re: Trying to get my elf/mitosis deck able to beat comps
« on: June 28, 2011, 08:14:07 am »
Well that would definitely explain a lot. I still rather enjoy the randomness that can come from this deck so Im not gonna just get rid of it. What are some considerations I should take before stepping into the PvP2 pool? Every time I do I get rolled over by rainbow decks and needless to say I dont enjoy it.

Well I already have another deck that I use to grind Top50 so Im not really worried about beating comps so much anymore. Do you have any suggestions on how to make this stronger in PvP1 and about maybe some considerations for PvP2?

Deck Help / Trying to get my elf/mitosis deck able to beat comps
« on: June 27, 2011, 07:11:27 pm »
ok this is probably the first time Ive ever encountered this problem; Ive been grinding in PvP with this deck because it's been a lot of fun and I prefer real people to computers. To my happy surprise, this deck seems to do quite well against a wide variety of unupped decks, Ive actually been happy to face off against shrieker and lava golem rush decks because a combo of elf and discord is enough to slow them down long enough for me to get a substantial force. What I fear in PvP though are mono-fire and to an extent mono-dark decks; fire being my big concern since I cant seem to slow down an immo/phoenix rush with any real reliability.

All that's besides the point though. The reason I need some help is because while I absolutely love this deck and have enjoyed trouncing others in PvP I do occasionally play against some comps. Unbelievably it's a struggle for me to beat even an AI2 for some reason and my victories against AI3 often feel like really lucky draws vs really bad draws. I know I havent been playing against just noobs in PvP (shrieker/lava rush decks use to be the bane of my life) but I cant quite figure out what is keeping the deck from being able to beat even simple AI. I am quite stumped.

The emphasis of the deck is to mitosis either a photon or an elf then quickly mass up a random army while using the elves and butterfly effects for CC and PC. I do have some of these cards upped (spoils of PvP grinding) but I have them all unupped in this deck for simplicities sake.

It's a twist on my Eternal Fate deck (mitosis/fate egg). Im looking for the best way to have a mass spawning, random army without using a rainbow. This deck is working better than EF so far but it still lacks perm control. Any suggestions?

Deck Compilations / Re: Boundless Fate (Fate Egg/Mitosis)
« on: June 09, 2011, 05:00:55 am »
Ok the nova thing does help a bit, and I half and halfed the pillars with pendulums but I don't understand what you mean by they're more reliable. Procrastination also made its way in but so far I haven't played a game where it was "thank god I had that shield". If they were super novas I might be able to trade out the precogs for sundials. I wonder if that would work now.

It's pretty basic and straightforward; use the mitosis on a fate egg and produce a random but usually pretty sweet army

took out a precog and put in 2 procrastinations and 2 novas. It does seem to be a little more reliable but Im still trying to find a way to speed it up some.

It's been a long while (thanks to my job) since I visited the Elements community. Having recently returned I had a sudden and insane impulse to just reset my account. After several minutes of regret I finally got around to playing with some of the new cards. Fast forward past the senseless hours of grinding and I have come up with this.

While I am lamenting the lacking upped cards and funds to do so I was hoping you could help me refine this idea. It's pretty basic and straightforward; use the mitosis on a fate egg and produce a random but usually pretty sweet army (would be even more awesome with upped cards Im sure). My biggest problem with it right now is it's kind of a slow starter and it lacks any real CC or PC. Eternity can really slow down an opponent or, in a perfect world, stall them completely. But other than that I don't have any way to really speed up the process or delay the opponent long enough to make it happen. Any suggestions?

THANK YOU!!!!! ;D These are the comments I love. I shall get right to more expirimentation. Ill admit there are a couple (more than a couple) games where I get horrible draws. Sometimes it costs me the game and others the tide turns in my favor in just one moment. I see the neccessity of having another source of fire quanta and something to spend the extra earth quanta on, but truth be told most games end with me somewhere around 20 :earth and 2-9 :fire

I will still work with it some more but Im reluctant to part with the graboids, mainly cause I still dont have many upped cards and those were some of the first ones I upped.
