For consistency's sake, it should NOT affect immaterial creatures.
All automatic effects affect immaterial creatures (shields, nightfall, bonds, boneyards, etc). For consistency's sake, it SHOULD affect immaterial creatures.

Balance might be a reason to have it not affect them, but consistency isn't.

General Discussion / Re: Grinding: Speed or Masteries?
« on: March 27, 2010, 04:40:39 am »
I've not tried any mastery decks, but I know both life and earth rushes are capable of well over 500 electrum per hour, even over 1000 electrum if you sell cards. That's unupped, with no rares.
If someone feels like having a go at the AI3 Farming Challenge (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,1874.0.html) with a mastery deck, please do. It'd be interesting to see how well it performs.

Oh, and those runs I did was when you only got 1 extra electrum per two-of-three slot matching. Assuming there's on average one such match per win, my gains would go up 150 or more electrum per hour.

Not a shield.

Needs to be temporary and have a time counter; use :water :water :water to increase time counter by 1.
It's actually harsher than that as it is right now. If you don't have 3 :water at the end of your turn, it's destroyed.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macroevolution

Not a creationist term, its actually a scientific term.
It would help if you actually bothered to read the things you link to.

Quote
The term "macroevolution" frequently arises within the context of the evolution/creation debate, usually used by creationists alleging a significant difference between the evolutionary changes observed in field and laboratory studies and the larger scale macroevolutionary changes that scientists believe to have taken thousands or millions of years to occur. They may accept that evolutionary change is possible within species ("microevolution"), but deny that one species can evolve into another ("macroevolution").  Contrary to this belief among the anti-evolution movement proponents, evolution of life forms beyond the species level ("macroevolution", i.e. speciation  in a specific case) has indeed been observed multiple times under both controlled laboratory conditions and in nature.
[...]
The terms macroevolution and microevolution as used in mainstream science relate to the same processes operating at different scales, but creationist claims misuse the terms in a vaguely defined way which does not accurately reflect scientific usage, acknowledging well observed evolution as "microevolution" and denying that "macroevolution" takes place.
If we apply Ockham's razor, it makes more sense that it wasn't random chance. What else it could be is up to debate.
Actually, "random chance" is the simplest explanation if the only alternative is "something else".

Not true either, as Chaos Lord has unupped fallen elfs in his deck.
No he doesn't. If you've seen a Fallen Elf played by Chaos Lord, you've either been dreaming or you've rewound a fallen elf mutant of his.

You can't ever put B.E. on a Massive Dragon because it's attack power is too high. ;p
Antimatter, as jmizzle pointed out earlier, should let you put B.E. on anything you like. The cost of doing so is quite absurdly high, but the option is there.

You say "healing items"... why not be honest and just say Shard of Gratitude?

Miracle heals you whenever you cast it, as does Heal, Black Hole and Holy FlashLight. Bonds heal you as critters do their thing. Antimattered critters heal you as they do their thing. Vampiric things heal you when (if) they do damage. Staffs and SoGs heal you when they do their thing, which is after critters attack.
You know all this when building your deck. You know it while playing your deck. You know that if you rely on non-spell healing you'll need to either prevent damage or get the kill late enough in the turn for your healing to go through. How is it not about skill, when you know all the factors and can take them into consideration?
It's been this way since forever, more or less. The only thing that's changed is that SoGs are a lot more common now, and the problem wasn't quite as noticeable with Bonds. The shards are more than powerful enough as is, in my opinion. No need to make them guarantee EMs as well.

I fully agree with your second point.

General Discussion / Re: List of Elements veterans that still play
« on: March 26, 2010, 03:49:52 am »
I think when I started playing, which is in August, it was 1.13, when PVP desync  is not an issue and sundial is not nerfed but not bugged to stop only one turn for enemy creatures either. I think that's a quite a while before this forum is up.
1.13 was the patch which introduced Sundials. The bug was fixed in 1.14, so... not sure which version you're talking about.
This forum was around back then, kinda, but in a different location with a different setup and so on.

Also, what does your picture say? It's illegible to me...
It's a pic of a whiteout applier, to combat Rossendale's text. Duh!
