Only problem is that Sundials are bugged in the trainer version and stasis only lasts for 1 turn (2 turns for you).
It's a bit more complicated than that. If you don't haste it will last the full duration, if you haste more than once (say, with dial and glass) it'll only last one turn for you as well.
There's a thread in pest control where someone posted the details, possibly a bit clearer. Not an issue anymore in the real version, of course.

I tried this out as well, and other than me having my usual bad luck (getting no more than three towers and no glass in the first 20 cards, all nubs and glasses hiding in the bottom 15 and so on), it worked quite well.
Having some idea what you're up against helps, as some things that aren't normally safe can be ok when facing particular decks (e.g. floating an eternity with no nub around).
