ArturusX 3 - 1 Antagon
Game 1 saw a blisteringly fast draw for me and a single pillar for Antagon. My shards kept pace with his poison as I depleted his stores of Sundials and Bone Walls for the victory. Game 2 slowed things down a bit and was quite the cat & mouse game of burrowing vs. Retros and poison vs. Purify. Eventually I chewed through all of the Bone Walls for a (much closer) victory. Game 3 started with a near picture-perfect draw from Antagon with a Physalia, 2 SoG's, an Arsenic and 3 pillars. The topdecked Retrovirus didn't help. After a *long* battle, I decided to forget that Physalias cost and dropped one instead of clearing my 18 point poison stack. Doh! Very well-played victory for Antagon. Game 4 was dragged out by some Nova screwage for me, but was punctuated late with a double Lightning Storm to wipe his side of the board (and give him 13 bones in the process : \ ). He threw up every defense he had but eventually fell to the tide of Shriekers and flying Gavels. All in all, some great strategic action and good games.
