Archived Decks / Re: 1.21 ray of light/hope/fractal anti-FG

There is room for some other cards instead of towers, this is true; however I am not sure about Miracle, as you need the light quanta for the dragons, and holy flashes seem inefficient. Maybe shards of gratitude, though? These might work very well actually, to block out momentum creatures and weapons.

Updated OP, shards work out very well, and the second dragon is worth it even though it uses up one space early in the game which you need for Fractal.

Basic idea:

1. Wait until you have 8 aether quantum, then play Ray of Light and use Fractal on it
2. play Hope
3. use Fractal on the rays until you have about 15 of them
4. play Light Dragon and use Fractal on it.

This deck can challenge false gods surprisingly well.
- Against some usually very difficult gods e.g. Rainbow, you can win with ease. Once you got a single ray of light/fractal/hope combo out you're basically immortal and can fill the board with light dragons.
- Unlike for other Fractal rush decks, shield are no problem for this one since the dragons will tear through anything.
- On the downside, gods with feral bonds are unkillable, Hermes with his fire shield is close to impossible, and gods with momentum and mass creature destruction are difficult.

I am not saying this deck is better than the standard rainbow decks, but it's surprisingly good. It's one of the few alternative decks that have a real shot against false gods, although I suspect Hope will never go live in its current form. Haven't even played level 3/Top 50.

Thanks to both of you!

Certainly didn't want to step on any feet! However, this thread is in the appropriate section. So suggest not to delete this thread, otherwise a new one will pop up sooner rather than later by someone else.

I got this card off Dark Matter once I beat him for the first time.

No info in the wiki, no thread here except one that's been locked??

What's this card about? In case it's not allowed to talk about it for some reason please explain why...

Here is a bigger version of the rainbow that has considerable similarities with the Ivalmians deck.
I am playing something similar. I suggest removing the Miracle. Miracle and upgraded sundials don't work well together.

General Discussion / Re: How should i alter this deck < it's boring now

Why not combine these two decks?

I prefer Puppy's 4x shards of gratitude + Permafrost for defense,
but I also prefer Ivalmian's Time mark + 4xHourglass + 3x quint + 2x protect artifact for longterm control.

I am trying such a deck at the moment and it works well so far.

No reason you have to copy these decks 1:1...

You make a very good point with regards to when to stop hastening. There's certainly room for improvement in my game there. However, sometimes your setup isn't complete even though you're drawing near the end, so even if you stop hastening you are only postponing the inevitable. Anyway this deck is complicated to play since you need to figure out for each god what creatures to quint, and also figure out when to switch from defense to offense. You need to think a lot more compared to a time-deck with three quints (not necessarily a negative!). I'll keep practising...

Oh by the way, I absolutely love the Shards of Gratitude/Permafrost Shield combo. It can easily keep up forever against multiple dragons on its own, just awesome... Also, once you got the shield out against a god with small creatures such as Ferox it's pretty much an instant win.

You need even more than 12 Quantum Towers unless you add a second Protect Artifact since some of them will get destroyed or stolen. So, the most feasible solution seems to be to have 12 Towers and 2 Protect Artifacts if you want to keep your upkeep. This will make the deck more susceptible to faster gods, though. Ironically, if you had the time mark you needed less towers, but then you can't make good use of Supernova so you want more towers anyway.

Somehow this deck is great, but also seems a bit broken against some false gods.

It happened several times now that I had a difficult false god like Rainbow under control in the endgame, and then I still lost because my pillars couldn't keep up with the Eternity upkeep. Also, for the same reason no 'Protect Artifact' just does not work, since your Eternity will be stolen or destroyed. Furthermore, against some gods you just need three protected creatures in order to reach sufficient damage, so you also need three quints, there's no way around it.

I like how this deck plays in the beginning compared to other decks with the time sign (much more speed), but if you reach the endgame it's just a guaranteed loss in some cases. I prefer to lose in the beginning since there I only have a minute invested, compared to a loss in the endgame when I already spent half an hour. Maybe the overall statistics would actually suffer a bit, since adding more cards also means more chance of bad draws in the beginning, but as it is the deck's maximum firepower in the endgame just isn't sufficient against some gods.

I finally beat him, using a standard rainbow deck.

The key cards were an Oty with quintessence, a bonewall, and a protected Eternity. These cards were enough to keep myself alive until Rainbow decked himself out.

During the same fight, I also brought him to an inch of his life (6 hp) before he cast Miracle.
Getting to the end-game was a major struggle, though. The score is now 1-10 or something :)
