coinich 0 Terroking 3

Bed nao, decks/picks tomorrow.  Simply Terro had great hands, good decks, and a fair bit of luck.  Damned Skull Shield turned my Pharaoh into a skelly. 0_o

1J - Fire Shield - Target, Ninja
2K - Reflective Shield
3B - 2 Relics
4L - Procrastination Shield
5A - Dune Scorpion
6E - Blessing
7C - Morning Star, Ninja
8G - Pharaoh
9F - Eternity
10H - 1 Relic
11I - Titan, Target, Ninja
12E - Precognition, Target, Ninja

First game I used a Blessing/Dune Scorpion deck; his Nightmares stalled me long enough for him to pull a win.  I saw his low HP creatures and tried a modified Pharaoh deck, but it was far too slow for Terro.

Terroking 3 - coinich 0

GGs coinich, stellar, versatile, and powerful picks on my side combined with RNG turned out to be too much.

Picks:
A6 - Fractal
B11 - Nightmare (Ninja TARGET)
C10 - Heal
D3 - Relic x3
E5 - Relic x2
F4 - Golden Dragon (Ninja)
G1 - Steal
H7 - Gargoyle (Ninja TARGET)
I9 - Flesh Spider (Ninja TARGET)
J12 - Anti-matter
K8 - Relic x2
L2 - Skull Shield

Chosen as an Anti-Fractal type rush, the Nightmares and Steals w/ the Shields to help my crietters along. Had a strong hand, fast Recluse, fast Garg that got RT'd, 2 Steals for Eternity and Procras. (He played a 2nd unupposed shield afterward) It ended up being pretty close, but I got a 14 point damage/heal with Nightmare early on that ended up being just enough to pull out a win.

Chosen mostly because Recluses are awesome. Not much happened, saw a Grav mark, after he hit 3 :time and no Scorp appeared I knew he was using Pharoahs. Not much to say here, I just played Recluses and Fractal'd them ASAP, he couldn't handle all the damage. Won in 5 turns, I believe.

The second game was more lulzy. I started with no Fractals but a Skull Shield, which not only ended up turning his 2 2/2 Scarabs to Skeles but also his 3/8 Pharoah. After that it was pretty much over.
I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.

Kakerlake 3 - 0 calindu

1st:
Code: [Select]
52l 52l 52l 542 542 542 542 542 542 542 542 542 542 542 5up 5up 5uv 5uv 5uv 5v1 5v1 5v1 5v1 5v1 713 713 713 713 713 713After a bunch of no connectings and no starts, we finally managed to get this match done.
I had a nice start with a shield and a few creatures that started mobbing calindu. His opening had a bunch of pillars and incomming light dragons, which gave me quite a scare and I thought I'd have lost for sure. But no Sanctuary showed up, allowing me to nightmare and so he was slowed down just enough to win with close to 0 HP.

2nd&3rd:
Code: [Select]
5uk 5uk 5up 5up 5up 5up 5uv 5uv 5uv 5uv 5uv 5uv 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 6u7 6u7 6u7 6u7 6u7 6u72nd: Great hand with 3 AM's and a bunch of Pends for me. An early sanc and Fog made me sigh in relieve that I changed the deck. An early desynch happened and calindu suggested to finish with the AI. I'm usually against it this early in a match, but remembering our troubles of finding the match, I agreed without any complaint.
I won the game with 4 cards left, calindu lost by deckout. Haxxshield is haxx.
3rd: I forgot to change my deck, but it wasn't as bad as I first thought. Again I had a great opening hand with 3 AM's. Fog was stolen and his first Peggy was left positive, since I concluded that he must have blessings in his deck. He did. Each blessed Peggy was AM'ed and in the end Fog haxxed me an EM.

thanks for the match, calindu.

Picks:

Targets: B11, C4, I9

The Mormegil - 3
Five In One - 1

Good games as always, Mormegil! Fractix vs. Frogtal was a nice matchup!

Code: [Select]
5c2 5c2 5c2 5c2 5c2 622 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 80i 80i 80iWin: Due to a bad hand, Mormegil started off slow and stayed that way. A decent hand allowed me to pull out tons of Frogs to swarm him.
Code: [Select]
5c2 5c2 622 624 624 624 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 80i 80i 80iLoss: Opening hand consisted of 7 Pendulums and 1 Frog. Was pretty consistent throughout the whole game.
Code: [Select]
5c2 5c2 5c2 5c2 5c2 622 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 80i 80i 80iLoss: A decent hand allowed me to pull out several Frogs, but Mormegil's Phoenixes just kept coming. Very close match, as I left him with 5 HP before I was drowned out. A Frog 1 turn earlier would have won me this game.
Code: [Select]
5c2 5c2 5c2 5c2 622 622 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 80i 80i 80iLoss: Another close game, I had a great hand. However, Mormegil's strategic use of 2 Immolations on the same Phoenix cleared up his hand and left him with enough quanta to play a ton of Phoenixes midgame. The second half consisted of me scraping by healthwise with Heals, but this one was very close, too.
A lot of these matches were really close. Can't wait to face you again, Mormegil!

Choices:

1B - Silence
2E - 1 Relic
3D - 3 Relics
4H - Druidic Staff
5G - Emerald Shield
6A - Fractal
7F - 1 Relic
8I - 1 Relic
9J - 1 Relic
10C - Heal
11K - Horned Frog
12L - Phase Spider

3 Relics Spent + 3 Relics gained from event = Break even (I think)

Ninja Slots: 12L

kevkev 3 - DevilLoss 1

G1 he outrushed/outhaxxed me.  We desync'd two or three turns from the end but he clearly had it:

We desync'd a couple times trying to bang out G2.  Once we played it out and both won.  When we got down to it the margin was razor thin.  I started with one pend and struggled over whether to kill his peggies or get out a shield.  Might've played it wrong.  At one point I got down to single digits, DL whispered gg, but then I managed to boltfreeze two of his three peggies, shield froze the third and I finally put out my first sanc.  I ended healing up to near full health, but that was about as close a rush versus stall game as can be.

G3 I wasn't sure whether he'd switch decks but tried devtal.  Killed 4 peggies and finally found a fractal for quanta lock with 13 cards left.  If I hadn't won the toss I would've decked because I ended with 241 darkness quanta and needed 243 to kill with two drains.  Not making my deck 31 cards was a rookie move.

Same deck as G2 +1 pend.  Better draw and therefore not as close.

Really ggs, DL.  I'd say best of luck in the remainder of the Event but you and I are slumming it scorewise so it prolly aint gonna matter.  :P
