Heh, I'm the first this round.

coinich 3 Jocko 1

Good games; my deck's a bitch to play against once I get going.  I used Pestosis again, though I didn't like this build.  I did manage to complete 2 squares and gain a few other Relics however.  The second game was the only notable one in that Jocko got a wonderdraw and a fast OE, Pufferfish, and Toadfish.  I couldn't survive, and I needed the CC to keep the critters off of me.  The rest I just outrushed him and ate his quanta; he rarely even got to snipe letalone kill a Pest.  Last game I got down to 5 cards, still hadn't drawn a Gargoyle.  I decided not to wait any longer and Siphoned for the win.  I miscalculated; I would've done it earlier.  I was prepared for RoF, hence the Pests, but it paid off this way too.

blerg.  This played out valuka 3 - kevkev 2.  As it says above, valuka apologized afterwards for using Diamond Shield, an illegal card, in all matches.  Diamond Shield ended up being a great counter to the only halfway decent deck I was able to construct, so it had a tremendous impact on all of our duels.  I don't feel comfortable taking a win of this magnitude due to an illegal card being used so... I don't really know what to do.

This was my only real deck.  I knew I'd pretty much autolose if valuka happened to take Dimshield or Wings.  I hadn't even considered Diamond Shield, but I forfeited immediately when he played it.  I think I had 17 cards left and 88hp.  This deck is overquanta'd which is nice against Trident, but Diamond = game over. :(  I used it again G2 hoping he'd switch to a Diamond-less deck and because again, this was my only deck.

The_Mormegil 0 - 3 mrpaper

I was pretty confident on my Grid choices this round. Trident kills most stalls, my creatures were resistant to most CC and I had an awesome utility card in Nymph's Tears to turn practically any deck into a counter. He rushed too hard for me, though. .-.

First game I went with a trident deck. Second game I tried to use my dark trio for some healing but got a pretty slow draw. Third game I went for a direct counter but couldn't draw Nymph's Tears. Looking back, my second deck pretty much sucks.

I had to chose a little bit more conservatively this round so we could all make up ground on Stepping.

kirchj33: 3
SteppingStone81: 0

Game 1: WIN

Code: [Select]
4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 5ie 5ie 5rq 5rq 5rq 5rq 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 6u2 6u2 6u2 6u2 6u2 6u2 77f 77f 77f
Close game, a late dim shield/barely surviving scarab pushed me through to victory

Game 2: WIN

Code: [Select]
5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5ie 5ie 5ie 5ie 5ie 5ie 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gt 7gt 7i6
Outrushed him on the last turn due to the fact that I had upped cards and didn't draw too many dead dim shields

Game 3: WIN

Code: [Select]
5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5ie 5ie 5ie 5ie 5ie 5ie 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61r 61r 61r 61t 61t 61t 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gt 7gt 7i6
Had him in scramble mode now, so I figured a slightly heavier rush with the threat of dims should help me to victory.  He went for sancs in an ugly looking deck, but it didn't stall me long enough.

Toadfish – A10
Relic – B1
Owl’s Eye – C12 - Target
Dim Shield – D3 - Target
Chaos Seed – E5 - Target
Ice Dragon – F8
Parallel Universe – G6
Scarab – H9
Pulvy – I7
5x Relic – J4
Horned  Frog – K11
4x Relic – L2

Relics Spent – 3
Boxes Created – 1 (G6, F8, H9, I7)

Relics gained - 10+3-3=10

Expected dim shield, but kinda hoped I could outrush it and brought this instead of pulverizer deck.  I lost to a wonky dim shield, CP, scarab, pulverizer, toadfish deck  (managed to stop his damage but dim shield chain finished me).

I brought pulverizer to kill his dim shields.  He brought a similar rush, but upgraded dragons made the difference.  Got him down to 2hp instead of dead, but this is neither horseshoes nor hand grenades.  Oh, first try at game 2 was an early desynch which I likely would have lost as well.

All I can say here is that at least I managed to make him sweat it out a bit.  I never got enough :earth to play a pulverizer and did not have enough :light to play all my sanctuaries.

All 3 decks are, with switched up marks
Code: [Select]
5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5id 5id 5id 5id 5id 5id 5ie 5ie 5ie 5ie 5ie 5ie
Game 1: Air Mark
He says he should've won, but I maintain my deck was much faster (more quanta generation and more creatures) and would usually win

Game 2: Water Mark
Last game was about rushing, so I switched to a water mark
I got 4 pillars (optimalish) so I was able to play creatures quickly
Both his first two chaos seeds froze my toads (the worse possibilities were Parallel Universe, shockwave, and lightning)
He antimattered the first dragon, but then the dragons unfroze
I played two more dragons, one was antimattered.
IDK which deck wins more often in this matchup (him if he had more antimatters, but 3 is not enough)

Game 3: Air Mark
Last game required killing my own dragons, sow switched to a mark capable of negating antimatter

Didn't draw a single tears the whole game. Even so I was one turn away from winning.
Misleading, he had 4 health, then got me into 19 health (two dragons while I had 18 health, although it looked like it was completely yellow) so not technically
He drew 10 pends at the end of 8 turns I believe, which started out good for him, but didn't work out

Decks were pretty evenly matched in terms of speed, given his slightly more inconsistent quanta, and cheaper copying

A10 Toadfish
B12 Relic
C9 3x Relic
D11 Trident
E7 2x Relic
F8 Water/Ice/Arctic Dragon
G1 Relic
H3 Relic
I5 Armagio
J4 5x Relic
K6 Relic
L2 4x Relic

ABCD is a square
21 for winning
1 for losing
Target Ice Dragon, Toadfish, Trident
No relics spent
21 relic payday! means I'm catching up!
