Much to my dismay he ran discord.  Didn't think I would see that since it was the same row as a 5x relic.  Fortunately, there just wasn't enough good supporting creatures this round to make BH/Discord work well enough.  Probably would have went 3-0 but I was noobishly not paying attention when he played an unexpected dis shield the turn before I bolted in game 1, stopping my physical damage from finishing him off.

Get off your high horse man.  I made a mistake when pming gyro from copy pasting my deck from a word deck.  You aren't the event mod so I don't appreciate the public flaming in chat and on forums.  The issue will be dealt with.

You are welcome to quit the event, however quitting an event will subject you to supplementary punishment under the PvP Parasite system (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,25593.0.html).  The current punishment for quitting in the middle of an event is 2 Parasites, or a 2 month ban from joining any new Events, Tournaments, Leagues, etc.  I suggest you review the system and the potential punishment before you make a rash decision to quit the event.

With only Pulverizer as PC and no Flying Weapon, and no Reflective shields, UG NovaDial seemed like a very effective deck on this grid. Unless someone went Endowed Pulvies or I got a very bad hand/outrushed, I saw little way to lose. The rest of my options were focused around a strong Death deck, and various rainbow cards.

I've never actually used this in an event before, and I was worried about decking myself out because I'm a clumsy noob most of the time.

He ran an deck, with UG's and Lava Golems. I waited to chain sundials until he grew his first golem twice so he still needed 5 UGs to defeat me. Thankfully I managed to execute just right and I won on the last possible turn.

Decided to go back to this for a hopeful finisher. He had only viruses for damage, I didn't hold my UGs this time because I knew for almost certain he didn't have perm control, and waited to chain sundials until he played an arsenic when I had around 11 cards left. At this point he conceded the match.

I saw entropy mark and death pillars and my jaw dropped. Then I remembered poison and pandemonium were in the same column, so I felt a had a good chance. We basically beat up each other's bonewalls, especially once he dropped viruses and made them both bigger, but I had the advantage in poison.

Good games, I didn't expect heavy fire decks.  Between the heartbreak loss and my mouse dieing, I won't be able to sleep at all tonight.  Gotta go so I can't do a good writeup, sorry.

1:  Outrushed him by a turn or so.  Pande+Bonewall works wonders.

2:  Firebolt deck?  Either way, I lost by a turn; he had 1 hp left.  If I had drawn another CP I would've won.
3:  He went to a Red Dragon/Fahrenheight deck; I easily beat it with Pande+Bonewall
4:  Same, except I had two CP'd Deathstalkers out.  Beat him in a few turns; he never had a chance.
