Picks were : AM, steal, UG, pulvy, fog shield, graboid, fate egg, rewind, sundial, deflag, nova, gemfinder

ralouf1 1 - 3 kevkev

Game 1 : tried to test him, to look which kind of deck he will use, I took a graboid deck.

Slow start his deck was very good against mine I lost without any chance to win.

Game 2 : phoenix doesn't like UG no ?

Slow start for him, VERY bad draw for me. I dealt like 10 damage in 5th turn. then he played wings. and chained wings, while sanctuary healed him to max hp. I had a chance : drawing pulvy not in last card, play all the nova + UG, crush wings and explode all the UG then evolve graboid. That's what I did. prayed for no stealn, he hadn't, gg.

Game 3 : expected the phoenix to strike back, i took this :

Started with 0 nova, why I'm not even surprised ? I luckily managed to draw one before I had to discard. I could put a fog shield. Phoenix came as expected. I was really waiting for sanc to steal them :) but he played a mirror shield. gg.

Game 4 :

he took wings, I had an early pulvy but I was lacking a nova, as in the previous game I drew all the pend and gnome. finally got a third nova so exploded his new wings a tried to deal some damage. I just got an other wings. I had 3 UG in hand and 2 nova, just needed one more to win.

Picks
A3 - Antimatter

D4 - Drain Life
E5 - Earthquake
F2 - Maxwell Demon
G12 - Fate Egg
H10 - Reverse Time

He started off with a few QP's and my 3rd Turn EQ pretty much sealed his fate.
All I saw of his deck were a Nymph Tear (got Auburn) and a Fate Egg (got Forest Spirit)

2nd: Loss

This was a long game. I started with Maxwells and Egg (got Spark), he got an egg and Light Nymph by Tear. Rewound his stuff and slowly reduces his health, Wings only managed to block the Cockatrice I got later. Aflatoxin forced me to rewind my Cell and later a Maxwell. At that time, he already mindgated some of my stuff and was able to burst out with Golems and Maxwells, blocking my offence. There was nothing I could do anymore.

Again, a pretty smoothe match for me. EQ came slightly late, but it did its job. He was able to Aflatoxin' one of my 3 Gargoyles and helped the Poison with a Parasite. But before the health dropped low enough for his Egged Maxwell to do something, it was over. Even his (yet again) Light Nymph couldn't heal much without Quanta.

My bad for switching out those steals and replace them with Drain life. I ran into a countery deck.
His early mindgate copied my Duck Shield and blocked around 80% of the attacks, while I wasn't able to do much with my EQ'd Pillars. His Gates multiplied after a while, eventually giving him 6 Drain Lifes with plenty Quanta to play it. When my 3 Gargoyles finally managed to beat him down to 10 Health, he killed 2 of them and ended up with 60+ health again. Too much for my 4 cards left and a lone Gargoyle still standing.
It was a really fun match, RNG was funny enough to give me all 6 gargoyles pretty early so he was only able to copy one which he could play very late. He wasn't able to kill me so his bigger deck lead to my doom.

Went back to my Steals since his Mindgates were just too dangerous. It was a good choice, but my starting hand suggested otherwise: 3 :earth Pends, 2 Pillars, 1 :darkness Pend and an EQ.
His early Pillars were EQ'd, as were mine. His first Mindgate was stolen (lucky draw :3 )and without much Pillars it took him quite a while to play the next one. Was enough for me to draw Gargoyles and finish the match before he could play a copied one.

thanks for the match Badok, was a great duell!
@RNG y u no let me win Cointoss?

Yup, that game was quite sad, as my greed (with Kaker's help) got me defeaten with no mercy. I knew that most players would pick EQ for it fulfills this round special rule, and yet decided not to pick Enchant Artifact, going for rainbow (and relic) instead. I got what I deserved, having my pillars crushed over and over again... I only managed to play one Tear (Auburn) and Egg (Forest Spirit), unable to fuel anything else. The gargoyles took me down quickly and painfully.

After what happened during R1, I decided to make my rainbow more colorful, decreasing EQ's effect. There were actually no EQ's, but didn't miss them too much. I started with Alfatoxin, Tear, Egg and Wings - being able to start playing them around 3rd-4th turn. By that time Kake got Maxwell and egged Cockatrice. Poisoned his demon, hoping to lock his field, but poor little cell got sucked into timespace. Same happened to another poisoned Max, allowing me to finally launch my counterattack. Mingated his demon and played two Golems in one turn. This let me keep enemy demons at check while growing my sweet lil' golems.

Once again, i got slaughtered along with my shattered pillars. Similarly as in R1, got quanta denied, with alfatoxins, parasites and firestorms unable to touch the Gargoyles.

At this point I abandoned all of my sorry premade decks and tried to improvise. With great effect, must say. I came to conclusion that I suck at rainbows and cannot create anything even partially useful, so I could as well let the opponent make my deck for me :). The game was really fun, as I was throwing everything back at Kakerlake. Multiplied by three (most of the time). Unfortunately, I missed all but one Gargoyles so my damage output was a little crippled, but compensated it with duck shield. I completely negated his quanta income, but as I had only one Gargoyle, couldn't kill him and had to wait till deckout.

Round 5: Loss

Tried to use same concept as before, just adding some damage output. I could have won that, but really messed up the deck. Not enough pillars for Golems, useless Pulvy and thinned number of EQ's backfired on me completely. Kake started playing EQ's very early, yet again crippling my pace. I eventually fell before superior quanta control (and Gargoyles, btw)

All in all that was a great match, despite (or because of?) trolling each other with quanta control
Ggs Kakerlake, t'was pleasure to lose to you

Game 1: Got Devourers out fast, and he doesn't seem to have a good draw (no staff). Rushed him with dragons with Eclipse.
Game 2: This time I got slow Devourers, and he successfully pulled 2 Adrena-FFQ and 1 Adrena-Staff.
Game 3: Switch to Devtal. He got slow creatures again. I don't even need to fractal Devourers for the win.
Game 4: Slightly modded the Devtal with more balanced quanta ^^ He got a fast OE, but I managed to lock him with my 3rd fractal and then it's gg.

G2(L): That ral is so sneaky.  I was ~two cards from decking him out, idly wondering why he hadn't conceded, when the bugger threw five UGs on the board.   :o  Seems like every event I can't stop myself from playing some god awful deckouter that I threw together from random cards and convinced myself would work.

G4(W): I was slow to pull together the quanta I needed here (unsurprising given the QI).  Found enough while ral was looking for one last piece of the puzzle.

The Mormegil 3 - 1 UTAlan

Went with PU dragons first as I feared a stall. Lost to Titan + two 4 attack spirits. Drawing no Dragons didn't help.

Switched to Lightnings + AM to counter his last deck. He picked up Fate Eggs, but AMing his Ghost of the Past and killing some eggs with bolts got me a win. I made a mistake here, having way too much aether quanta... oh well.

Switched around the deck a bit and slaughtered his deck twice in a row. Heavy CC + Dragons vs no CC decks is bad.
