I didn't check the standings before I made my Grid and I was obviously already eliminated so I didn't take this round too seriously.  I just wanted a decent deck option that used the event.  I think this is probably a dog to Morm's mostly upped decks but I think I played a 2nd turn dragon in 3-4 games.  ggs, Morm.

Whew. Awesomely fun event. I enjoyed every bit of this. Even the headache from this round's event (I hate you Gyro ). I could have actually won this if I had put more effort in it (say, by selling cards for the last 4 upgrades), but Stepping is just too awesome and was already out of reach. GGs, kev, and thanks to everybody!

EDIT:

I knew that if Stepping was to win, he'd be out of reach, no matter what I did. I spent enough Relics to be on top if he lost: 8. I had anti-stall picks, and would have most likely slaughtered any stall deck thanks to Poison + Trident. But... he rushed. I went for a 6 Elite Shrieker 6 Elite Wyrm rest quanta deck, but it wasn't that fast...

You can build any deck, with these restrictions :
Cards aren't upgraded by default.
If you spend one Relic you gained, to have the right to use 3 upgraded cards in each of your decks this round. For example, if you spend 3 Relics, you may use up to 9 upgraded cards this round.
Any mark, any size
Any Pillars and Pendulums
Cards from the slots you have chosen (not necessarily all). You can use any number of copies of them.

A Player-of-the-Year award would actually be kinda cool.  It could work like this:

Each event would have a pool of POY points based on the number of players:

Maybe 10*ln(# of players)A 10-person event would have a 23-point poolA 30-person event would have a 34-point pool

Players placing in the top N would get POY points based on their finish:

In a 10-person event, maybe 3 players would get POY points - places 1 thru 3 would get 11, 7, and 5In a 30-person event, maybe 4 players would get POY points - places 1 thru 4 would get 16, 9, 6, and 3

Grats SteppingStone81!  I loved this event and you were relentless each round.  I ran out of time to commit to keep you on your heels towards the late rounds, but I think majofa and others did well to keep the pressure on.  If I am not too lazy I will post an all-star deck round, highlighting the best/most interesting/fun decks for each round.

Sorry I did not win against SteppingStone.  Wasn't like I wasn't trying... I just was not good at the meta game for this event >.<

Actually, you would have ended up at 92 Relics.... I finished with 94 Relics
