Event card boycott?

Mrblonde has made an important decision regarding the event card.

Well, without a doubt this "type" of card is going to be controversial and will most likely have a major effect in the winner of this War. I firmly believe the majority of the Masters if not all would be against the use of this card. Anyone who knows me would know that I would be against this card regardless if it benefited team Death or not.

It's just too skewed and OP towards one team and IMO will put a blemish on the winner.

So basically as a community we can decide to continue to complain about this card or actually do something. So here's what i will do regardless if this is changed or not.

1) Simply do not play free upped cards. Up the 3 or 6 cards for Generals or Lieutenants but that's it. Ends the drama right there.
2) If team Death receives this type of card later in the event we will not be using this as an advantage. Basically we will not use this "type" of card at all.

So Team Death will be boycotting this "type" of card and throughout the tourney we will not be using this to our advantage. Sorry Team Death for not consulting first but i feel that this is the correct thing to do.

SG - Not trying to spite you here or create waves. I understand the amount of work and effort you have put into this War and i honestly appreciate it. I will not be posting or arguing about this event card again. I just don't think this is a very good "type" of event card.

Ahhhh crap... was posting this and missed the Sat tourney.

This is a very important decision, that will likely result in us ending the war in 8th place or lower. Unlike Mrblonde's element, gravity absolutely sucks unupgraded, and not using event cards as advantage could screw us up even more.

But then again, honestly everyone here would agree that the event cards are just retarded. It already started to make the war much less interesting, and it will do so even more.

Even after the war has ended, as mrblonde had said, the winning team might not be so proud of themselves especially if they won with the help of an event card. This event is supposed to be a fair event, without such weird distractions.

I will personally refrain from voting, and will only play as a tiebreaker. What do you people think? VOTE!

(Also note that there will be no such thing as 'partial agreement', as in using only 6 extra upgraded cards. We either go with the event card, or boycott it)

I think we should boycott it. It´s just not fair. And we should boycott a card like that for Gravity.

This is obviously a tough choice.

On one hand, yes, the event card is ridiculous.  It puts the focus on itself instead of enhancing the War in any way.  Now, it seems like almost every battle will be not only focused around, but determined by the Event Card.  I don't think that is the purpose of having Event Cards.  The Event Cards should have a blanket effect on the War, effecting each team equally. 

Also, this puts a further disadvantage to the newer players.  There is no way they could afford to upgrade that many cards, especially if Event Cards keep coming out under this same theme.  What's the point of a rookie if they get put at a FURTHER disadvantage by Event Cards like this.

On the other hand, this is a game.  This War is not the same as the last War and SG is obviously trying to make some serious changes.  Does anyone know her or the Warmasters' motive behind making an Event Card like this?  Maybe they have a legit motive that would validate a card like this (even though I think that is unlikely).  This is a game and maybe we should take advantage of every rule that we can, even if it is unfair.    ???

I don't like what this Event Card has done to the War.  Not at all.

Boycotting the event card would, imo, be the most honourable thing to do. Yes, it will put us at a disadvantage to those who do not, but there are only two or three masters whom I believe would not boycott (I will not say who they are, in case I am proven wrong).
I would rather, as the saying goes, "take the high road", and lose, than take advantage and win, because that victory would be tainted by the imbalance caused by the event card.

i do not understand the card exactly is it for this round that we can use all upgraded deck or is this received for 2-0 wins and used at any times to upgrade a whole deck?

The card lets you upgrade all you Light cards in your deck, except Pillars and Pendulums.
Thats everything it does.

This goes especially for Indrejue and 918, who might say "OMG OF COURSE LIGHT CAN'T HAVE SUCH AN ADVANTAGE. WE BOYCOTT!"

i do not care who has the advantage it is too big an advantage and screws with people like me who have low electrium counts because we do not have enough upgraded cards to farm FGs or are just to new to begin with.

it is shameful to give such an absurd advantage the first round event was great this though is garbage.  I prefer the gain an advantage if you win type of cards not the give you an advantage to help you win kind.  if say this was a win 2-0 get to use 3 upgraded cards type i would be all for it but upgrading practically half the deck is really bad for the smaller players
