One of the most powerful creatures of elements, due to its fearsome ability and his low cost. It's present in most decks in which gravity appears, and even in most if not all rainbow decks. Should be quintessenced/HArmored as soon as it's played.

Will be interesting how the increase of the cost will effect the use of Oty.

I know that hurts me; with two towers and an Oty, I could have an Oty out on turn 2.  Not so now. :(

Another fun trick (only works in long games) is putting basilisk blood... then you can eat pretty much anything...

Murders Queen decks and great in combination with a Bone Wall.  Not fun if an opponent lays a Bone Wall though.

The first post needs to be updated, the cost of Otyugh has been increased  8)

I was going to ask where it got it's name from, Oty = Oh thank you, and 'ugh' is a kid of, unimpressed sigh.
So the name strikes me as ironic, as it is one of the most pain in the ass creatures in the game.

Please let me know if my 'name theory' is right/wrong  :)

It's wrong.  Otyugh was a monster invented for 1st edition D&D to be particularly hard to kill (and it eats everything; it's common environment is in dungeon's trash pits).  It's name is an anagram of "Toughy", a subtle warning to players that it's not something to be taken lightly.
